I use the delivery service and it’s AWESOME. I rarely have to go into the store(drop off a comforter, blanket, etc). I use the app and schedule pickup/delivery using bags Rainbow provided. I always know exactly where my things are and when they are coming back to me. Easy billing and quality service. Only thing that would make it better is knowledgeable front desk help at the actual store.

Seldom do I give any business a one star review, but this one deserves it. About a month ago, I dropped off a beautiful beige-colored Banana Republic suit for dry cleaning. I had a Groupon, and I figured«What could possibly go wrong? It’s just dry cleaning.» Well, I went to pick up my suit, and it had blue pen marks ALLOVERIT! I was very curious about how that happened. At first, I was told that while someone was cleaning it, they left a pen in their pocket. Later, the manager, Terry, told me that they dry clean the suit in a special dry cleaning machine, akin to a washer, and somehow a blue pen made its way into the washer as well. I could not believe that this is the method they use for cleaning suits! Anyway, I was told that I’d be paid for the loss. They asked how much I had paid for the suit and when I had bought it. They asked for my number and said they’d call me within a few days to come pick up a check. A week later, no call. I went in and spoke to the manager. She said she had looked into the cost of the suit, and we agreed on the amount that they should pay me. Again, I was told they’d give me a call within a few days to come get the check. Another week went by without a call. I went in and straight-up asked for my money. The owner, Jeff, found out I was there. He went back and wrote the check. He brought it out and said he did not know where to send the check(remember, they had my cell number, work number, email, work address)…In other words, they basically avoided me until they realized I was not going to back down. Lesson for the Business: Accidents happen, mistakes are part of life, we’re all human, BUT how a business handles these situations speaks volumes to the customer. Honestly, I may have gone back if this situation was better handled on their end.

I went to Rainbow’s 3rd Avenue location after Callander Cleaners in the Short North refused to clean my white wool coat(its tag reads«Dry Clean») because of its polyurethane detailing. I called a few different area dry cleaners after leaving Callandar to ask about dry cleaning polyurethane. Rainbow’s manager was the only person who didn’t rush me off the phone – she clearly explained the material risk of polyurethane and cleaning options for my coat. She sounded very professional, knowledgable, and considerate of her customers both on the phone and in person. I had the coat and a few blazers cleaned and all three look perfect and smell fresh. During drop-off and pick-up the in-store staff was friendly, fast, and efficient. I was in and out each time in about 2 minutes. Also, the price was lower what other dry cleaners quoted to me over the phone. I’m certainly going back.

Rainbow Dry Cleaners on Michigan Ave in Harrison West/W 3rd Ave has to be the absolute worst dry cleaning service in the city of Columbus. A month or so ago, they messed up a pair of my dress pants; I picked them up and noticed stains that were not there when I dropped them off. Offer to reimburse me? Nope. I recently dropped off my queen size down comforter for its yearly dry cleaning. I picked it up – completely ruined. Threads hanging loose, wrinkled worse than ever, and filling completely distorted. Yet, they still charged me for this mess. Please, do yourselves a favor and avoid Rainbow Dry Cleaners and discourage others from using their absolutely deplorable services.

I’m done with this place, I’ve been going here for about a year and a half and they have yet to get one spot out. Also, the customer service is terrible, the two front desk workers make you feel like you are inconveniencing them every time you drop off your clothes. While I try to support smaller businesses(and this place is right around the corner from me), it looks like I’m stuck with Swan Cleaners. I gave this place 2 stars because it’s cheap, but hey, you get what you pay for! I would just like to add that this review is not related to one bad experience, unfortunately it’s from over a year of crappy service. I won’t be back.

I haven’t dealt with this place directly, but I’ve had garments cleaned by them. Clintonville Coin Laundry uses this company as their dry cleaning service. Rainbow Dry Cleaners did a really nice job with my silk dupioni bridesmaid dress that had perspiration/deodorant marks on the bodice… that had been left to sit in a my closet for four years. They made my dress look like it’s brand new.

Ok on price, but will not clean anything that has pet stains.
