Here to There Movers

I had a less than positive experience using Here to There Movers. I used the company based on positive reviews from another site and even purchased a special for 3 movers for 3 hours. It started off poorly with the huge block of time for their expected arrival 12 – 5, my movers arrived at 3:30. Initially, there were the 3 movers that I expected, but about 45 minutes into the move one of them said that they have been pulled to go to another job in Dayton. He said I would get an additional 1:30 of time since it was dropping to only 2 guys. Then another truck shows up and the guy that is leaving said they need the truck my stuff was currently packed on to go with him to Dayton. So for 30 minutes the group of movers switched my stuff from one truck to another and I was left with only 2 movers for the balance of the job. I am being generous saying 2 movers because one guy was great but the other was more interested in being an organizer than actively moving things into/​out of the truck. He lacked any sense of urgency and worked at a slow pace. About an hour into the transition to my new apartment, I couldn’t take it any longer, so I joined in — along with my wife and my friend. The move, which was only a two bedroom house, didn’t end until 10 pm! I don’t know why I paid movers at all considering how much I felt I needed to observe, stress about the amount of time they were taking, and then do the work myself. I had high hopes for a good experience but I definitely would suggest just getting your friends to do the job rather than hire these folks.

I am extremely happy with my move, I bought a voucher on Amazon local deals and was a little hesitant since I have never heard of this company. They called ahead of time and were on time with a huge truck! Tony W. & Chris B did a great job and were very professional! I would recommend this company and will use them in the future.

We scheduled an early move and literally waited all day with broken truck drama then when they got there they told us they would not move our stuff, took pictures without permission, and basically wasted our time. We ended up getting a u haul and doing it ourselves.

I had a Groupon for here to there movers so it turned out to be a pretty good deal. They were however a little careless with some items and even tried to cover it up. On my plasma TV the rear panel was dented in. My dining room table was scuffed and scratched in several places. Worst of all was the headboard for my bed was crunched in AND THEY TRIED TO COVER IT UP WITH A BLACK MARKER. For me it wasn’t worth arguing with the company but they could have at least had the decency to admit their mistake.
