Oriental International Market

i go here a lot cause it’s convenient but i do wish they had more variety so i didn’t have to hit 3 other stores to buy all the things i needed. The market itself is small and not shelved extremely well since sometimes it looks as if they’re missing some inventory. Don’t count on a lot of produce or fresh veggies as there’s not much of it. they do carry a lot of canned foods including quail eggs and bamboo shoots. the associate that is usually working typically isn’t there or is on the phone. I do like the other side of the restaurant though. It was a little odd the first time i came in since everyone behind the counter kind of looked at me and didn’t even say hi. After awhile they asked if i needed anything and i said, «i just ordered some oxtail from the other side»… well, then they were super nice! they mustve thought i was freeloading a table or something. haha. the food there is pretty tasty so if you’re shopping you should actually make an order and pick it up when you’re done.

They had exactly what I was looking for when I needed it! I must say their case of coconut water is a little on the expensive side. The customer service wasn’t the best neither the worst. They do have a good range of Carribean and Asian products!

This store is a hit or miss on fresh produce, and customer service. They do carry a good section of Asian and Jamaican products. They also carries some meats like Goat and Oxtails. I wish they would still carry real Jamaican scotch bonnets regularly, thai chillies, thai basil, mint, etc like they use to. Oh well.
People who work here need to stop leaving the store front unattended. It seems unprofessional to have no one in the store tending to the needs of the it’s customers especially when it is time to check out.

Awesome find that has the best yellow Jamaican curry powder I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. They also have a bunch of items you don’t seem to find in other markets. Decker has a lot of variety of little markets and restaurants and gets often overlooked. We have a lot great places to try if people would just get out of their comfort zone once in awhile and try the spice of life which to me is lovely curry powders to cook with.

You would never expect to get Jamaican food from an oriental grocery store but the food here is as authentic as you can get. Those other local «Caribbean Restaurants» can’t touch this place! they carry all kinds of fresh juices including Sorrel and of course it wouldn’t be right without Malta. You cannot eat in yet but they’re working on it:-D
