Overall my experience was good. The facility was very clean and welcoming. I enjoyed that they offered you a water while you waited for a technician to be done. I did feel however that the individual who did my nails did a sloppy job, when I left there was a lot of stray polish on my fingers and toes. Additionally I felt that it was pretty over priced.

Always done right! Friendly staff and good discounts. My favorite place to get my nails done. I’ve been coming here for years. Great massages too!

The salon is nice and clean, the staff are friendly, and there is allot of staff so I didn’t see people waiting too long.
I brought my daughter and they were nice enough to let her soak her feet in the pedicure thing so she felt special, lol.
I used Helen and it was the best pedicure ever. She really took her timex I got the number two pedicure with mud.
My nails look so fantastic I’m so happy, and the prices were great too. I will definitely be coming back!

I have been here so many times I cannot count. But each time the service is superior and my experience was phenomenal. Yes, I do drive 20+ miles to get there.

Affordable, clean, and friendly. I love this salon. Plus, 10% off on Monday-​Wednesday mornings makes it a great deal. Nancy is wonderful. She takes her time, ensuring your nails look great! I pass several nail places on my way to Halo, but it is well worth the longer drive.

The gentleman that did my gel manicure paid attention to my edges and got as close as possible. Kudos to him as that doesn’t happen at all salons.

I went for spa pedicure. Good service. I was very happy with the massage. Took nice time to do all the detailing. Nice customer service. Additional discount for writing review in Unilocal!
So it was very reasonable price

If I lived in Columbia I’d be here twice a month. Everyone here is eager to help and accommodate. I’m fairly picky when it comes to the shape of my acrylic nails. I prefer coffin or ballerina shaped nails and have had an extremely hard time finding a tech who has experience in that particular shape. Michael helped me today and not only did he «nail» the shape he had me in and out in no time… Normally that makes me worry about the quality but from what I can see and feel he had all bases covered. I will be back to see him.
The equipment in the salon is higher updated technology. It’s clean and uncluttered. A true place to relax. Can’t wait to come back!

I’ve been coming to Halo for gel manis and pedis for a few months now and I would recommend this establishment… with a few comments. The facility, in my opinion, is very clean, spacious and current (the pedi chairs work and are in good shape, the nail polish appears fresh, I see tool sanitizers on, etc.). I’ve been in a few places that are the size of a shoebox or look like they need a good scrubbing and it just ruins the experience for me. Halo takes good care of their establishment. Oh and I like that they play spa music and there’s HGTV playing on the televisions.
Full disclosure, I’ve only been in for a mani/​pedi on a weekend once (Mother’s Day) and it was pretty busy and we were a bit rushed, but when I go early or mid-​day on a weekday, it’s quiet and the treatments are at a good pace. You also get a little discount if you go in M-​W before 3pm, which I use as an excuse to get the «expensive» Luxe pedi (scrub, massage, paraffin trmt, and hot stone massage).
While I’m a huge fan of their pedicures, their manicure is pretty basic. The nail trim/​clean up could be a bit more thorough and the hand lotion/​massage is about 30 – 60 seconds, but my nails always look good and the gel lasts a least 2 weeks (which is about the life of a gel mani anyways, so I’m happy).
All in all, I highly recommend Halo for manicures and pedicures (especially if you’re able to go on a weekday!).

The only reason why they have a high star rating is because they force their customers to give them a good Unilocal review or a Facebook check in for a discount.
I went in for a pedicure and the service was alright. They tend to rush their customers that aren’t «regulars».
They have a great color selection and that’s probably the only thing that will have me coming back.
All in all, the 4 – 5 stars aren’t sincere.

I had a good experience at Halo for a gel manicure and a polish change on the toes. I was a walk-​in, seen within 5 minutes of arrival. everybody was pleasant. And i liked the fact that they spoke English not only with the customers, but with EACH OTHER. Never have I witnessed that. Makes for a more comfortable experience. The shop was clean and equipment was properly handled. A lot of choices for gel manicures and reg. polish. My tech did an excellent job on my mani and polishing my toenails. Only pitfall is that on the thumbs, the gel polish started to lift up on the sides after 4 days. I havent picked at them, so they’ve been hangin on steady (this is day 7) but i dont think that should be happening so early.

Greeted right away on an extremely busy day. Yes my son and husband dropped me off for a mani/​pedi without an appointment. Luckily I only had to wait 15 minutes. I was given a bottle of water and a pedi chair with warm water to soak. One tech told me the other side was only cold water.
Service was quick, friendly, and good overall. Even though I was handed a menu with a list of discounts, I was told at the register no discounts on Sunday. I also was left somewhat abandoned by my tech. I wasn’t sure when to get up and what to do with the toe separator thingies so I had to ask a couple of people. It want great and it wasn’t bad.

I was visiting my sister for Mother’s Day weekend and I found Halo Day Spa on Unilocal!I made an appointment the day before I wanted to take my sister and I in for their organic pedicure and classic manicure.
We arrived a bit late, but they were still nice and welcoming. Tammy was amazing. She provided a great mani pedi service while also engaging in great conversations – sharing stories about our schooling and future goals! I’d definitely recommend seeing Tammy when you make your appointment.
The vibe of the day spa is relaxed, everyone is really nice. HGTV is playing in the flat screens, so if you’re not one to chat, you have some entertainment to enjoy if you love home and garden TV :)
Overall, great experience and I am definitely making another appt the next time I’m in town visiting again!

Just got the «essential pedicure» with two friends of mine. One of my friends was late, but the staff was nice about it and let the two of us get started while we waited for her. Guan did my pedicure and he was awesome! He was really friendly, making conversation with us all, and I really think it was the best pedi I’ve had so far. Maybe it was the relaxed atmosphere, maybe it was the fact that all the staff were friendly and took their time– but this was definitely a fun, satisfying experience. The whole thing took about an hour– no one rushing us out the door when we were finished– so thank you :)

I wanted to love Halo. They seem to have quite the following of Unilocalers in the Columbia-​area and they know it, customers get 5% off for checking in (hmm interesting, maybe that’s why the following is so huge?!). Fact is I didn’t love it. I came in for a weekday evening appointment having scheduled a much needed, hugely deserved mani-​pedi after hibernating all winter. I was greeted from the nail tech area and told to choose my color. At this time I only noticed one wall of OPI polish, later realizing I’d missed the Essie wall (rats!!). After being seated in a nice cushy pedicure chair, I could hardly wait to get my feet into the bubbles — only when I did… it was very cool, lukewarm water! EEK! Unfortunately, the nail tech had skirted off into the employees-​only area before I could catch her and ask for the water temp to be adjusted. My toes were wrinkled for sure by the time she came back (20 minutes) but she quickly made the adjusted and the footbath was now what I was waiting for. Halo Day Spa, moreso, a nail salon, has colors upon colors to choose from. Gel and regular enamel, they have every hue a girl could ask for. Even more, they have a display of the latest OPI collection, which always speaks to my heart when it’s mani-​pedi time! I enjoyed my experience at Halo but noticed about one week later my gel mani was already chipped and ready to peel. It hardly lasted two weeks before I had to remove it: disappointing. Next I noticed my pedicure chipping: sadface. Halo Day Spa’s atmosphere is airy, clean, high-​tech (you can charge your iPhone on the nail tech station), offers comfortable, updated pedicure chairs and boasts a huge polish selection and latest colors BUT the quality of my services was poor, and that is why I have no love for Halo. Maybe better luck next time? I may give them another try in the future; they had all the other ingredients for a favorite nail salon.

I have really mixed feelings about my experience at Halo. I don’t get my nails done often (as a grad student with little money for indulgences like manis, I’ve gotten really good at DIY treatments!), but I know for a fact I shouldn’t have to go home and immediately fix what someone else has done.
The salon itself is beautiful. Very classy looking! I came in with my girlfriends on a Thursday evening; it was relatively packed, which didn’t surprise me since it was a little before 6pm. They asked for gel manis, while I opted for a standard manicure. They were rushed to open manicure stations while I was left waiting??? Ok. I went over to consult with my friends about their polish selections and I was immediately accosted by the woman doing my friend’s nails for not getting a gel manicure. «It lasts longer, you know that.» «Just get the gel». Um, no, I’m pretty sure I know all that — I really hate being up sold things when I have made multiple statements that I am aware of the «benefits.»
Anyways, for a REGULAR POLISH MANI I had to wait an extra 10 – 15 minutes. It felt kind of weird, maybe ~manicure nepotism~? I don’t know.
Regardless, the gentleman who did my nails was certainly pleasant, but smudged my nails about five separate times. His hands were shaky and clumsy, which kind of worries me! He had to touch them up time after time, and by the end of the process they looked really funky. I told him that one nail had a MASSIVE HOLE IN IT (from a polish smudge — down to my naked nail!) and asked if he could fix it up with some more polish. He just slapped topcoat on top of it, turned that teensy little «drying fan» on, and walked away. Alright.
I was MADE TO MOVE so that a woman ALREADY SEATED AT ANOTHER STATION (who was getting her gel polish removed) could sit where I was sitting.
All in all, I was pretty disappointed with my experience. I felt that as a «low spender» I was treated accordingly, with less respect than other people purchasing more expensive services. I was expecting more out of Halo after reading the reviews, and I do not think I will be returning.

Even though I live in Baltimore, I always come here because it’s super clean, open and everyone is really nice. My friend Sara suggested this place and I rarely go elsewhere!
I always suggest Halo to my friends, it’s worth the drive and they have designated parking spots for Halo guests!

This place has become a new favorite ! Not only is it affordable the quality is always impressive. They have a great deal I always take advantage of where Monday to Wednesday before 3pm you get an additional 10% off services. With my random retail schedule it works out great for me !

I drive across town to come here. They are always nice and welcoming. I have never had a bad experience here and even when they have fussy customers they give them a smile and meet their needs. All five stars from me with no question!!!

Nancy… is awesome! I walked in at lunch today and she did this beautiful pink and some ombré glitter. I like can’t rave enough and its only 2, I have had at least 7 compliments on them so far. Also the salon is super clean and fresh looking. They have a lot of options in colors. Also
