This is a fabulous Italian eatery in Collegeville. The food is fresh and full with flavor. The service was superb! Three cheers to the owners and their staff

This is the worst excuse for a traditional Neapolitan pizza in the area. They do not follow any traditional methods of cooking the pizza. I would challenge that he owner does not know how to properly prepare the pizza dough nor does he understand the importance of having a 900-degree wood burning domed pizza oven. I had such high hopes for this to be a traditional Neapolitan pizza place but this place is nothing more than a wood burning oven pizzeria with below average pies. If you love pizza like I love pizza and you eat her… you’re an idiot. That being said, I ordered the Margaret. This is the most traditional Neapolitan pizza and it sucked. I took one bite and pushed it away. The pizza maker, owner, should be ashamed. He is literally ripping people off by claiming to be traditional Neoplaitan Pizza that misses the mark 100%. I make this statement because I have been trained and certified as a Pizzaoli from a sanctioned school in California. I was amazed as the owner watched me take a bite and have a look of disgust in my face and do nothing about it. I couldn’t believe that my waiter and the staff saw my disgust and just let me sit there. After a bit my waiter offered me a box and I told them no thank you as this pizza is not edible. No one cared. They gave me my bill and sent me on my way. If the owner just said, he made hand tossed pizza and cooked it in a wood fired oven then I would not have been so disappointed as this is all this pizza was. By the way, it was total crap for being wood fired pizza. I did order a two other things hoping they would be authentic and traditional but I was sorely mistaken. I ordered the pasta fagioli soup and it was ok except there was no meat. I always thought traditionally it had me at in it but ok maybe that is his take on the soup. I also ordered the side Caesar salad, it was fresh and tasted as it should. Nothing special but edible. It was obvious the owner kept checking my reaction to the food but was to cowardly to come and approach me. We made eye contact several times and the last time we did he asked me if I wanted a box and I politely mouthed«no thank you». I am disappointed that no one there cared to make the meal better or even offer a reason as to why they make inedible pizza. When the waiter took my plate the entire pizza was there except one small square that I cut out to taste. What kind of place does not care if their main food is absolutely horrible and your customer leaves only eating one bite… So, if you are looking for authentic pizza stay away this place it’s horrible. If you are looking to eat wood flakes and ash with your below average pizza this is your new favorite spot. The service is fine except the servers show zero lack of concern for my complaints about the food. I should had taken a pic so that you could see why I would rather eat 7 – 11 pizza before I would eat pizza from this place again. Being a previous restaurant owner I do not wish for any restaurants to out of business but this place is so bad it gives Neapolitan pizza a bad name and by going out of business would allow people to find better offering of pizza elsewhere. Too bad to all the people that eat here and think this is good pizza. Now, maybe the rest of the menu is delicious and that gives reasons for people to come back but as far as the pizza goes if I were you… I would go next door and just order pizza from Wawa, you will be much more satisfied.

I really enjoyed the family owned Forno Antico! Even though there was a decent crowd in there, the hosts, servers and table staff were personable, timely and accurate. The mood was good, the food was fantastic and the service was even better. We went to Italy this summer and food is pretty authentic compared to several other Italian places in the area. The mood in the room made me feel like I was in a dining room with all the kids and the community. We were offered a great list of specials, we actually got all three!(one appetizer and two entrees). I have never gotten all specials before. I could see this place being a place that we regular. Lastly, our server, Sabastian, was fantastic. His parents are the owners, and he is doing the family business well. Two thumbs up!

My third visit, this time I brought someone else with me. She agreed this is hands down the best Italian food we’ve had in a long time. I would never expect to find a place like this in collegeville. Keep up the good work Forno Antico

C and I enjoyed a wonderful pizza at Forno Antico, which is truly authentic Italian. When we were seated in the main dining room, there was a large table with a dozen people. It looked like a scene from a movie and that set the tone. Our server was very personable and attentive. The pizza(sausage, red pepper, onions and broccoli rabe) was excellent/outstanding, prepared by the owner. Food: 5 stars Service 4 stars Ambiance 4 stars Note to owner: If only the lights were dimmed by 50% and a candle appeared on each table, the ambiance would be cranked up 200%. Too much lighting makes a restaurant feel like a chain. Also, your restaurant would benefit from acoustic material. Some floor to ceiling curtains, strategically placed, would control the ambient noise for which there presently is nothing to absorb bouncing sound. You have a wonderful restaurant. Keep up the good work!

This is an easy five star review. Great food great atmosphere great service. BYOB. I would probably say that if you’re looking for a romantic dinner setting, this might not be the place. But if you’re looking for a casual experience for a great price you should definitely check it out. We met the owners, their sons and their whole staff as they catered to our somewhat vivacious group of 10. Brick oven pizza was my favorite but the chicken dishes also get high reviews and make sure you save room for a cannoli.

Well this was my first time at this restaurant. We decided to go on New Years Eve for dinner. The crab raviolis with sea bass was totally disgusting. The sea bass was totally fishy and the raviolis had barely anything in them. I’m a big supporter of Collegeville restaurants and I may try their Pizza but never will I get an entrée again there. Happy new year to me when I had to pay $ 40 for dinner each then make my own dinner once home. Not to mention the veal my boyfriend got tasted like beef jersey very tough. So let down :(

Very nice restaurant, reasonably priced with friendly staff. I got the Diavola Pizza it was amazing, pretty spicy, but just the perfect amount. It’s also great that it’s BYOB. Will definitely be coming here again.

After hearing from friends that this was a good place, we decided to try takeout for lunch. I regret it entirely. The Margherita pizza was good, that’s where it ends. They charged me $ 5.00 to add Prosciutto as a topping to my Napoli pizza — that’s nearly 50% the cost of the pizza. The underside was completely black and burnt, extremely bitter and inedible. The wings were okay, but they pulled them from the fryer and placed them immediately into a styrofoam container; by the time I got home, the container was melted and the wings smelled and tasted like chemicals(that’s why 99% of restaurants that serve wings for takeout use METAL containers). When I called to let them know of my disappointment, the woman informed me that the pizzas«are supposed to be burnt.» She showed no care at all that I felt as though our first visit and nearly $ 60 was wasted. Never going back. Visit Rocco’s right down the road for great food, decent prices, and a staff that knows how to provide customer service. These people need to get over themselves.

This is an authentic Italian(not the inferior Italian American) pizzeria! I thought about not writing this review because I actually don’t want this relatively new place to get too crowded! The Neapolitan style, wood-fired pizzas are truly delicious. When we are not in the mood for pizza the entrée’s are equally fantastic!

Forno Antico is good authentic Italian food. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive(even to my 1 year old daughter). Best service in the Collegeville area without a doubt. We highly recommend! I had the portofino, which is chicken breast topped with spinach, mozzarella and crabmeat in a white wine sauce. Served with a side of penne. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Each bite literally melted right into my mouth. The dish was very smooth and delicious. My husband had a special, Sacchetti, which was stuffed mushroom pouches in blush sauce with cherry tomatoes and shrimp. The pasta was cooked to perfection. The serving size was perfect and they placed a good amount of shrimp in the dish. It was very tasty according to my husband. My 1 year old daughter had a kids meal, which they kindly cooked to order. We just requested their basic cheese ravioli with butter. My daughter seemed to love it. The ravioli was cooked to perfection! They seem to have several versions of ravioli, too. Their kids meals were priced at $ 5.99, which was very reasonable! I appreciated that they offered a children’s menu with child portions. We opted out of purchasing a dessert but what they had available all sounded and looked amazing! They had quite the choice, as well. We ordered out once when they first opened and loved it but this was out first time eating in and it did not disappoint!

Sorry V&T I will miss your garlic knots, but we’ve found a new Italian restaurant to go to. Plenty of room, attentive service and the whole family was happy. Here’s the run down… Burrata was great, calamari very good Agree with another reviewer on the bread, can do better Husband had the branzino and raved about it… the flavor, the crackly skin from being cooked in the pizza oven… yum We had two pizzas and lasagna, really good Meatballs were okay, but it was the sauce I really loved We’re excited to return!
