Fantastic atmosphere to match the quality of their drinks. Highly recommend to anyone in the college station area. Great service as well

I am SAD I didn’t discover this(truly outstanding) gem until now! The drinks are spot on and the food is delicious — you can tell they put their heart and soul into making it. I’m serious. The atmosphere is perfect and impressive. Hands-down, this is the best place for food and drink in BCS!

Have not had their drinks; this review is primarily about their pizza. So far, I’ve tried the D.B. Cooper and the margherita. During happy hour and after tax, comes out to just over $ 8 each. The crust on the pizzas is great. I’d say they are medium-thin, have a nice crunch on the outside, and a good chewy bite on the inside. They say their dough is made daily and I’d believe them. The oven they used to cook the pizza is visible if you sit at the bar and the tenders come in and out of the kitchen door. It is quite beautiful with a big roaring open flame. I’d showcase that oven if I were them! The D.B. Cooper is great and my favorite out of the two. The menu says sweet and hot peppers, which made me picture some Italian style pickled peppers, but they put red bell pepper and pickled jalapeño if I recall correctly. Still delicious and a good amount of meat topping. The margherita was not bad. I don’t think they use any tomato sauce at all though which I would have liked. The tomatoes used didn’t look like heirlooms to me and tasted quite like your typical roma tomatoes. Portions are not bad for the price if you come at happy hour. An average person who is quite hungry could probably eat two. All in all, I’d say this is the second best pizza in college station behind napa flats, but at half the price. Service from the bartenders is great; they seem to take their jobs pretty seriously. The time from ordering to getting your food was quite long both times I went. Some of the cocktails they made looked great, however they’re a bit pricey for my taste so I will likely stick to the pizzas only. Their beer selection on tap isn’t great. One big negative is that the bar seems to be quite close to an open waste stream, and you get big wafts of very… sulfury smells, particularly if you decide to sit outside.

Came here for their happy hour(3 – 7PM) pizza and drinks. Use the Hooked app for additional discounts! The selection for their specialty drink is very limited(only 4 for their happy hour deal, and the waitress did not know the ingredients for all the drinks). I got the Popeye and the Zombie(mixed rum and grenadine), while my friends got the Chicken Alfredo and DP Cooper. The dough is a doughier and fluffier version of Blue Baker’s, similar to Napa Flat’s. The ingredients are fresh, and the pizzas are not greasy at all. They are around 10 inch or less, so definitely get different ones and trade with your friends. May return and sit in their outdoor couch area when it gets warmer.

I only came here to grab a few pizzas to go and I have got to say, best pizza in town! The have an amazing happy hour special from 3 – 7 where all the pizzas are just $ 7.50. I know there are plenty of great pizza places in BCS, but this one is definitely different!!! They have these amazing wood-fired baked artisanal pizzas. I would definitely put them up as some of the best in town. We ended up getting the margarita and the Garden of Eden. While I generally like a good margarita, I wasn’t a huge fan of the sauce. The basaltic reduction was just a bit too sweet for the pizza. However, the Garden of Eden was just that — absolutely heavenly. I highly recommend that dish. The inside is small, but rather cozy and I cannot wait to come back here again.

Picked up pizza to go from here twice now and these are some of the finest in town. Right up there on the same level of Napa Flats. Check the Hooked APP for daily discounts. Very nice people and cozy place. Can’t wait to have a chance to try the drinks and eat here fresh out of the oven. Most certainly a welcome new entry into the Northgate scene.

When I heard about a new bar specializing in classic cocktails, I hightailed it to north gate for one of my bi-annual visits. Parking on a Friday night was a pain, as expected. We took a high table in the small, dimly lit bar area with an open view of a spacious, uncovered patio. Our waitress had waters on the table almost instantaneously. The font of the menu was reminiscent of The Republic, a well-known safe haven for cocktail enthusiasts. My husband ordered the Daiquiri Diagnosis and I decided to venture off the menu for a dirty martini. The daiquiri did not live up to Republic standards by any means, but my martini was surprisingly good. We ordered two different pizzas: the Peche, featuring grilled peaches and a copious amount of goat cheese, and the Margherita, which had wonderful flavor but was so soggy we almost sent it back. Since the Peche was flavorful AND crispy, we took a chance on a Garden of Eden, which did not disappoint. When a man delivered the third pizza and asked for feedback, we confessed why we were let down by the Margherita. He said all the mozzarella does tend to make it soggy and that they would work on it, which was refreshing. Overall, the staff was very friendly and the drinks and food were hit or miss. Hopefully they find a cure for soggy pizza.

Don’t get me wrong, the cocktails and cigars are great. However, there is a tall black man who is a friend of all the bartenders that is an absolute jerk. I referred to the restraint by the previous occupants name to give directions, and the man managed to call me a short fat guy whose opinion doesn’t matter.

Really cool place with a nice vibe. They have awesome speciality drinks and a good variety of Texas beers and wine. Nice outdoor area with comfortable seating. I hope the location doesn’t deter people from trying it out!

Wow, what a great place… The service was awesome… Had a very attractive male server that brought us the best drinks in College Station… A breathe of fresh air from the typical Northgate
