Ice cream is not a challenging food for me. After eating at Icee Sweet, I tried to remember if I had ever truly disliked an ice cream cone. I could not remember that ever happening before, but it happened at Icee Sweet tonight. I entered the store with two friends, and there was an odd smell inside. I don’t think the two adolescent servers said even one word to us. The ice cream(Working Cow brand) was rock hard, freezer burnt, and had icy crystals running through it, as thought it had been melted and re-frozen several times. My husband tried three flavors, remarked that they were all terrible, and the server just stared at us, stone-faced, and then shrugged. Let’s put it this way: our friend was going to buy my husband’s ice cream, and my husband still declined to order any. That’s serious. When we were eating our ice cream in the car, we watched as the servers inside the store sprayed air freshener everywhere, almost compulsively. Very odd. P. S. Business tip: if your ice cream is this bad, don’t offer free samples. It could really drive away customers.

3.5 stars… Licks Dairy is no more and has been replaced by ICEE Sweet. It’s just a simple ice cream parlor with an ultra simple menu, average prices, and ice cream made by Working Cow ice cream. The ice cream was served too cold/hard and was pretty average. If you’re passing by there’s no reason I wouldn’t stop in if your hankering for some ice cream but don’t go out of your way for this one.
