Came in here a couple weeks ago with my service dog just to simply grab a water and sit down for a few minutes when an older, snide woman with a weathered, wrinkled face came over to ask if she(my dog) was a service dog. When I replied yes, she never asked me what tasks she performed, she immediately said she wasn’t a service animal, asked for documentation, tags, etc… and proceeded to kick me out, and threatened to call the police. She stated she didn’t have a ‘vest’, ‘identification’, and that ‘she knows what a service dog looks like’, then… she smirked and laughed condescendingly and belittled and berated me openly, in front of about 6 other customers, as I was still in the establishment. How sad. I’m still upset by this today. How sad, that she would put herself, and her company in an unnecessary legal conundrum like this. In fact, I called the police immediately after walking out, to report the incident. Even if I were somebody else… I definitely wouldn’t come to this DQ for ANY reason. I guess I have to pursue all of my personal and legal options on this one.

Located on Gulf to Bay and just east of the intersection with Hercules is a mainstay of frozen treats on hot steamy days and nights. We usually use the drive-thru because the adjacent parking lot is quite limited. The line always seems to move quickly. Being an ‘old guy’, I can always find(what seems like) a valid reason to need some ice cream. On this evening, we decided to get a chocolate milkshake and a Turtle Blizzard. I do still like the fact that they top their shakes with whipped cream and a cherry. The Blizzard is a reliable frozen confection and the Turtle choice had a great pecan flavor. From time to time, we’ve tried their ice cream cakes. They’re sort of meh because they’re not really cakes but ice cream layered on top of a big cookie. So, be warned. They are reasonably priced and they will personalize them on the spot. On a non-frozen treats note, they have always had their shredded BBQ sandwiches and they are surprisingly very good! It even makes me want to try some of their new sandwiches. When I’ve gone inside, the store is always clean and well kept. Even on busy evenings, the service has been friendly. If you’re close to Clearwater High School or on your way to or from the beach, you should stop by for a treat!

Always a treat to have a sundae, cone or quick burger or hot dog as a nice escape. The place is always hopping, but the service and cleanliness is always right on target. Who can pass up one of the many flavors of Blizzard, or a simple chocolate & vanilla twist on a cone? Pretty much a guaranteed fun time.

Haven’t had a dipped cone from Dairy Queen in ages! I think the only Dairy Queen I’ve seen in Orlando is the one in the food court at the Florida Mall… it definitely brings up great memories getting dipped cones after school with my mom :). They also serve Orange Julius. Orange Julius has juices and smoothies, so I assume that it’s the healthy option? The entrance creeps up on you, and there are cones to separate the entrance side and exit… be careful! We almost missed the turn, and ended up driving through the exit side… The parking lot is really small and tight.

I mean, how can you go wrong with Dairy Queen for a frozen treat? Perfect location to stop at either on the way to or the way home from Clearwater beach.

Great ice cream, small location with a small parking area and entrance. If you come up to fast you will pass it. Drive-thru service was fine.

Came here with the fam after going to Clearwater Beach. We were suuuuper hot, and decided to take a break from the heat, and found this DQ! I’d never had Dairy Queen before, and I was definitely satisfied. The staff took awhile to get to us, but they were friendly&fast. I liked my mini mint oreo blizzard, but my brother’s Brownie Earthquake Sundae was really good, albeit a bit too rich. My dad’s strawberry milkshake wasn’t too sweet, which is just how I like it. Not bad for an ice cream chain!
