Just had another smog check on an out of state car done. Fast, professional, helpful. I will always go to Fischer for all of my car’s electric needs when I am in Clearlake. Highest rating possible for these guys.

After having a horrendous experience at another auto SMOG place in Clearlake, (Burrell’s,) I took my car to Steve at Fischer, and once again, had a GREAT experience. Not only does Steve care about helping you pass SMOG, but he offers good suggestions for doing so as well. Once again, I highly recommend Fischer Auto, and should have gone there in the first place rather than taking a recommendation from a friend to go to Burrell’s where one is treated in a condescending and disrespectful manner! Thanks Steve!

I called first thin in the morning to see if I could get a smog check, Steve was great over the phone, was able to get me in at a reasonable hour – and out for that matter. The service was completed in a very short amount of time, and met my expectations. Great overall, service, I was glad they could get me in so quick!

I would give them no stars if I could. I took my car to them asking what they could do. It had just died on me and would not start. I said please fix my car I need it for work. Well… 7 days later it was «fixed». The next day it died. I brought it back in 700 hundred dollars later, they explained that it was a head gasket that was replaced and what «really was wrong with it was the engine needed replacement. Wtf!!! The guy politely told me that I said fix it and make it run so that’s what they did. Wtf!!! So it would another 3000 to re ally fix it. Bad service, liars, and worst of all scammers that pray on women.

These guys were great and very honest. I was just passing through town and had some car trouble. They knew we were in a hurry and were able to squeeze us in that morning. After taking a good look they realized it was nothing. And only charged us $ 17. Just the 2 rides I took them for in the car could have been more than that, never mind actually inspecting the car.
