Camp Rainey Mountain

Beautifully set in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains, close to the Tennessee border, this campground has everything a scout could wish for: watersports, camping, woodwork… You dream it, they have it!

Camp Rainey Mountain is a Boy Scout campsite with many many activities. They also host Venture Club members and offer programs for outdoor fun. Their facilities include basic campsite with tents and shelters complete with bunk bed and mattresses. Its very basic and minimum. They also have showers with running hot wateir.
Depending on your program, you may have access to archery, shotgun, pistol and rifle ranges. There is also a climbing tower and also a high rope course. There is also a lake with many water sports including kayaking and paddle boards. There is also a large ampitheathre and the kids runs a great DJ station there. If provided, there is a large dining hall /​cafetaria as well.
This is not a luxury resort. You will be roughing it a little. If you are with the Boy Scout or the Venture Club or Ranger club, you should find about this place and their programs.
Its in the mountains and nice and cool during the summer.
