Boba Milk Tea is pretty good here. Such nice people as well. My order came up to $ 11.45 but I only had $ 10. The lady ringing me up said it was okay and only charged me $ 10

The popcorn chicken very oily, over cooked. I think they changed owner, not recommended.

Buy 2 drinks get free popcorn chicken! Ordered the green milk tea. It wasn’t too sugary. Really good! The popcorn chicken came with a spicy sauce and pickled cabbage that went really well with the chicken. It was really really good. Popcorn chicken was piping hot as well! The owner told us to come back and try the other fabulous dishes!

Seems like this place is under new management/ownership and they are doing a great job. Came in for a quick lunch and tried the spicy wontons, they had a sesame ma-la sauce that I really liked. The portion isn’t very big about 5 small wontons but that leaves room to try the cold dishes, we got sweet bean curd one of my favs. Pork head and shoulder, picked cabbage, and stewed tofu. The spicy beef noodle soup is really good as well, full of large beef chucks, the broth actually had spice to it not just chili oil and the bowl was huge. The Taiwanese fried pork chop was also well done, crispy, not overly battered and one order comes with two pork chops! They also have this garlic sauce that is amazing, your breathe will stank after but its sooo good. Maybe get a coffee at Starbucks on the other end of the plaza after your done to kill the smell.

My family is a big fan of the braised pork chop. We order take out from here monthly. Food quality has been pretty consistent. As expected, it’s a cash-only restaurant. Be sure to try their drinks, very refreshing.

THISREVIEWISALLABOUTTHEPOTTEDPLANT. I’ve never had potted plant milk tea before Café 18. The leaf was much smaller than I expected. It was smaller than the tip of my index finger. In short: way too milky. My friend enjoys sweeter teas and I enjoy more bitter drinks. Neither of us liked it. Even before we mixed the cream, the tea taste was too nuanced. The moment we shook it up, all tea-hell broke loose. The caveat is that the dirt did not mix well and quickly fell to the bottom, which was fun to watch. Basically, if you don’t like a milky potted plant, this is probably not your joint. Also, I swore the server mentioned the price was $ 1.85 on the phone, but it ended up being $ 4.95. I happily paid for the experience of the plant though.

= TAIWANESEFOODINROWLANDHEIGHTS= Review is solely on the following food items: — Large Intestine Noodles — Marinated Pigs Ear — Deep Fried Stinky Tofu This restaurant is a solid 3.5 stars restaurant for me. Prices are reasonable, and food quality was great but not memorable. I would have rounded them up and gave them 4 stars if their portions were slightly bigger. My favorite was probably their STINKYTOFU out of the 3 items I ordered. * Service * Meh. It was a quiet night at the restaurant. Waiter disappeared after he took our orders and reappeared with our food. * Location & Parking * CAFE18 is located near the intersection of Fullerton & Gale and across from the Home Depot plaza. There is a large parking lot, so there shouldn’t be any problems finding parking. * Note * CASHONLY

I didnt try their plotted plant drink, but definitely did try their food. I ordered the house special sandwich, which includes bologna, eggs, pork, tomato, and cucumber sauce? With cucumber chunks? Idk. It was not bad! And of course, i had to order a side fries.(A side of fries to compliment the sandwich is $ 2.) It had a perfect crisp with some sort of seasoning. Service on the other hand was meh. It gets pretty busy during lunch time and the wait can be long since the space inside is very limited. I’d definitely come back to try other foods on their menu.

I was on my way to lunch at Phở Ha and did a double take at the super adorable potted plant milk tea in the window of Cafe18. Of course I had to come back for one! It’s a super creamy milk tea with a layer of Oreo crumb«dirt» and a mint leaf«plant.» Unfortunately, you sort of have to mix it up so the effect doesn’t last long, but even even without the whole gimmicky plant thing, this is probably one of the best milk teas I’ve ever had. So creamy and delicious! You can also just get a cream milk tea without the dirt, which I might do next time. So cute! What will they think of next?

Mmm mmm! Came here for lunch with my coworker today and it was yummy! With an hour for lunch we’re always looking to try delicious new restaurants in the area. The only thing is, we had to stop by the bank because Café 18 is CASHONLY. We ordered the adorable potted plant milk tea to Instagram(PLUG-IN: Follow me @t1cklexp) and it was actually really good! Not too sweet, not too much ice. The Oreo crumbs on top mixed in really well and tastes like cookies and cream mmmm. Would definitely recommend. We shared the fried pork chop rice and minced pork dry noodles, each equally delicious! Very authentic Taiwanese food. Service was nice, we spoke to them in Mandarin but I’m pretty sure they can do English too lol. There was no wait and it wasn’t too crowded at 12PM on a Wednesday, so I’m pretty sure we’ll come back again! Or order to go because they have breakfast too.

Straight up told my friends Shanon Y and Juliet C that I would have Never came to this spot if they didn’t take me here. Didn’t have much expectation for this place to begin with, so I wasn’t surprised when we had a few let downs. Such as… the noodles. We ordered the Taiwanese style dry noodles, it wasn’t terrible, I’ll just say that it wasn’t anything special. Also got the mushroom noodle soup, that was better. But wasn’t anything special either. For small bits, we had the wantons and stinky tofu. Those were pretty good. The bad, they didn’t have the cold cucumbers, and they didn’t have any chicken left for the sizzling plate dinners. I can see this place having terrible service if it they were any busier than 2 – 3 parties. It was pretty dead when we came. The good, I guess would be a chill place for a drink and some light bites like crispy chicken aka popcorn chicken. Their potted plan drink is very unique. Probably the only thing setting this place apart from the other thousands of Taiwanese establishments around the area(exaggerating). Not gonna lie, I ordered the potted plant drink just so I can take a picture of it. The service was very friendly. Easy to find parking. It’s a good place to hang out with friends. Drink some tea, have some light bites, and chill. But if you are looking for a proper meal, I’d go somewhere else. Unless you were looking for some taiwanese bento lunch.

The drinks and authentic Taiwanese food brings me back to Taiwan! I was actually first introduced to Café 18 by my dentist of all people! He is a foodie like myself so he recommended getting the milky green tea at Café 18. Café 18 is located in the same plaza as Ramen Yukino Ya across from the Home Depot on Gale. Parking can be difficult to find since the plaza gets really busy. When my friends and I arrived this past Sunday, the restaurant was full of customers. There were two empty tables but both were dirty so we were told to wait until they got around to clean it. It took them about 5 minutes to clear the table before we were seated. Since we had lunch prior, we decided to just get dessert/drinks. Although, the food looked really good and the food served on the sizzling plates smelled delicious! I also heard they have a great Taiwanese breakfast served until 11am daily! My friends ordered the hot grass jelly dessert and the potted plant drink, and I went with the milky green tea. Prices were pretty decent for the drinks at around $ 3 for small and $ 4.50 for large. My friend and I both loved our drinks. The potted plant drink was so cute! It comes in a cup with oreo crumbs on top and a mint to look like a potted plant in soil. It tasted like a creamy milk tea but you can definitely taste more of the tea in this drink and it was not too sweet. The milky green tea is a green tea with a layer of frothy salted cream on top. When mixed together, the drink tasted great! The reason for the –2 star deduction is for the wait time and lack of staff. We witnessed two ladies working at the front. They seemed extremely understaffed and we had to flag them down a couple times to finally place our order. Overall it took about 30 minutes for my friend and I to get our drinks. It took another 15 minutes for our other friend to get her hot grass jelly dessert. This is just an outrageous amount of time to be waiting for food let alone drinks. Also, since we stayed for almost two hours in the restaurant we noticed that after customers left the wait staff would not clear the tables. Dirty dishes were scattered on 6 different tables around us and the waitress was seen on her phone the entire time. It wasn’t until other customers started arriving that she finally got up to clear a table for them. Time management could have been handled so much more efficiently!

I was going to try Jin Yuan in the same plaza… but they didn’t open on Wednesday. and I wasn’t in the mood for the Phở Ha so my friend suggested Café 18… I looked it up, Nick has highly recommended this place… so here we go… we ordered the pork chop rice and fried chicken rice. the fried chicken took 25 mins to come out(my friend said she wanted to get that for a long time but for 1 hr lunch break it is impossible) the food was nice but i am not impressed. However, they use the metal bento boxes that probably brought lot of childhood memories… we used to bring that to school everyday when we were a kid. the service was kind slow. I mean«really slow». if you don’t have lot of time this place will drive you crazy… there was only 3 tables dining and it took average like 20 mins for every table to get their food. my friend’s drink was good, I had a sip, however she said it was even better before they had switched lime to lemon. (i doubt I can tell the differences between lime and lemon) the service was very nice and the restaurant is rated A in cleanliness. If you like this type of food and dont like Class 302’s crowd. this is the place you you
