Every Wednesday is Steak Hoagie special. I have only had two items(Steak Hoagies and Turkey Burgers) from the Sports Page. Most of the time I am getting take out. The service has always been nice. The food has always been constantly fresh and tasty. Pretty cheap meals for being downtown Cincinnati.

I dined during lunch on a weekday and it was half full. The service was fine. The interior seems like an 1980s restaurant, which is fine. The menu had some interesting things but mostly typical diner food. I enjoyed the cheese coney because it had freshly-grated cheddar that made a notable difference. The steak hoagie was fine; the bread was a little dry but still tasted fine.

The Sports Page Restaurant pulls no punches. Solid diner food with friendly service makes this a great location to grab a quick lunch downtown. The servers are attentive and are sure to recognize you if you stop back. I had the pulled pork bbq sandwich, slaw, and Saratoga chips. The pork was homemade. Nothing out of a Curly’s container, this was the real thing. The Saratoga chips were better than Montgomery Inn’s. The meal was about $ 7 total. Stop by if you’re looking for an authentic downtown diner for breakfast or lunch. Check out the homemade desserts and breads for an extra treat.

Not bad but I didn’t get anything particularly difficult to make. Though all of the hot things were hot and the waitress was very good, the cheeseburger was pretty pre formed and tasteless on a cheap bun. Same with the French fries. I would not pick this place again but it wasn’t bad per se.

I’ve been eating at this place for 16 years or so because it’s a great all-purpose player when it comes to lunch when you are downtown. Like a Frisch’s restaurant(which are no longer downtown) they have something for evry taste pretty much. The menu has a sports theme(duh) so you have to read a little bit to get what you want in some cases(I ordered the«Home Run Burger» which is a ½ lb burger with all the trimmings Which after last night’s Reds victory, I suggested that they change the name to the«Jay Bruce Burger» and they seemed to like that…). The prices are pretty reasonable for downtown and the service is quick. They even serve soft-serve ice cream at the front counter if that’s what you are in the mood for! Nothing fancy but very consistant and safe…
