Hobby Lobby

I drive 20 minutes just to get to this Hobby Lobby because I love it so much (and it’s right next door to Jungle Jim’s!). Hobby Lobby is one of my absolute favorite places to get seasonal décor for my home. I was recently here to get Halloween/​Fall decorations, and they have so much!
What I love about Hobby Lobby is that they cater to everyone’s tastes.
You like cheesy kids Halloween stuff? We got you!
You want modern and contemporary? We got that too!
You interested in some light up Jack-​O-​Lanterns that look extra dope at night? We have it!
And, the best part, if you keep track of their sales they always have HUGE sales on décor items…40% or 50% off. That means I can get seasonal décor for a lot cheaper than going to Target or somewhere else. Definitely check online for coupons before going in to the store. I also like to come here for frames or fake floral.
For my crafting needs though, there is a smaller store closer to me that I usually go to because it’s easier to get to. The store itself is large and kind of hard to find things, but I am fine with that because I’ve been here so often I know my way around. I would probably go somewhere else for craft supplies.
Also, FYI they’re closed on Sundays.

Wish I could give 0 stars. I will no longer come to hobby lobby for my creative needs– as long as they maintain their position that companies and corporations should have rights but not women. Corporations are people but women aren’t. Get real hobby lobby– see ya!

Store seemed cluttered and disorganized.
This is my last visit, I don’t think I’ll be coming back. Things are too hard to find.

Selection is great, service is exemplary, any art or craft or decorating project probably has an answer here. With a wife who was an art teacher at Anderson High School and 5 kids who all love art, we spend a lot of time for not too much money here.

I have been trying to get some prints framed for my nursery and had not had any luck prior to coming here. When I went to the Hyde Park Michaels I had brought up a frame from the shelf to see if it would fit the print with a little trimming. They guy behind the counter measured my print and measured the frame. He then repeatedly told me that «your print is not a size» with no offer or suggestions. He just kept saying «your print is not a size». When asked if he had anything that would work he said «No» so I left very disappointed. It is always more than $ 100 to have something custom framed and I was not willing to do that with a print I got for $ 20. Today I went to Hobby Lobby and was lucky enough to come across Carol. She was initially helping someone else, but took the time to make eye contact with me an let me know that she knew I was there and next and would be with me as soon as she could be. I found frames 50% off. She helped me match the wood since the frame wasn’t available in multiple sizes and find a mat. I got the frames at a very good deal. The mats custom cut were $ 14 ish per print. I added a foam insert at $ 5 per frame. They are going to put it all together for me and add hangers to them all for less than $ 150 for seven prints including frames. She in no way made me feel bad about forcing off the shelf frames to work and never tried to make me custom frame after I expressed that that was not my intention. Helped with color choice as well. The turn around time is about 2 weeks which I think is great since the mats have to be ordered. The best part is that I will be able to just walk in and pick them up all ready to hang. So happy to have found them. Very very good experience.

As a knitter and all around crafter this is such a fun store to go to. They have a very wide range of products and are always putting things on sale. The store is very large and if you don’t know where something is it can be easy to get lost in there, but in a fun way.
