Food was okay, servers and hostess’ all looked and acted like they were on something. Last time I’ll go there.

This is a step above an applebees in food quality but still just a normal chain restaurant with a menu similar to the rest. The staff was very friendly and the food came out promptly. We had a party of 12 and we all got our food quickly and with no mistakes that you come to expect with large parties not to mention it was busy for lunch hour. The restaurant was very loud and the food quality about average but the friendly staff and quick turn around after ordering would make me choose this over most other chain restaurants

First time going here and I ordered the Keywest chicken and shrimp with French and sweet carrots. SO good! The chopped tomatoes on the chicken were a bit spicy; unexpected but still tasty. And the service was alright too.

I am very hesitant to write this as I don’t like to give negative reviews. I am hoping that it may spur management to work on making this the place that a Cheddar’s should be. I have been to several other Cheddar’s and consider it my favorite place for food, for the price and environment but unfortunately the Northgate Cheddar’s is not any thing like what the Cheddar’s experience normally is. Please, please either re-train the management or consider new staff. We have been there 8 times giving them more chances than normal and hoping that they just had a few things to work out just because they were newer. We had 3 instances of very slow very late service. And 3 instances of unclean glasses and silverware and actually food smeared across the wall where we were sitting that was so noticeable that the only reason that I can imagine that it was not cleaned is because management and/or staff did not care. It is hard for us to decide to call attention to things such as cleanliness and the lateness of service with the worst being an hour wait after we sat down and order was taken but it was so late and so obviously unclean several times that we had to say something. The reception of the complaint made us feel as if we were the disturbing persons in the situation. There definitely needs to be a re-education in this restaurant. I seriously want this restaurant to do well. I can’t tell you how exciting it was to have a Cheddar’s opening in our neighborhood since it is one of my favorite places to eat in other cities. Please only take this review to make positive changes. We will not go back until we know that management has changed or been retrained and it starts to have the high standards of other Cheddar restaurants. I should say that normally we wouldn’t give a restaurant another chance but loved all the other Cheddar’s so much that we were hoping this one would grow into it’s perfection.

We normally do not go to restaurants like this, but we had a gift certificate. We expected a wait. What we didn’t expect was to be in a section where about ½ was occupied by a large group. This was the type of group that let their young children yell from table to table and run in the aisles. The food was good, but if this is the type of restaurant that attracts families that let their children be disruptive and not respect other diners, I have no desire to go back.

Cheddars was my favorite place to eat. The place on colerain is a bit of a disaster. The food is always luke warm, the service varies. It isn’t the cleanest place. It’s like the staff doesn’t care to keep up the restaurant. I would much rather drive to the one in Florence before going to the one in colerain. The world class chicken sandwich is wonderful. Ask for bourbon glaze with the chicken tenders! You won’t regret it.

What the heck happened to Cheddars in Northgate? We went for a late lunch so it was nearly empty. Got water quickly. Then place our order. Clarified that we wanted our salads first but waited 30 minutes for salads –served with no rolls because they«weren’t ready». Entrees arrived two minutes later. Again no rolls different server ran the food. Finally got rolls but no more attention. Had to ask twice for water refills and then she(Claudia) only brought water for one of us. This place used to be good. What the heck had happened?

Service hospitality and timing are not desirable. Long delays between seating and a waiter/waitress coming to table without prompting.

Extremely poorly managed. We went with our 3 small children a few weeks ago and we’re seated outside. There was 2 other tables outside. A couple next to us that had waters and that was it. We waited 25 minutes and there were 5 servers outside… as they were chatting and catching up my husband said«Can your send us a server please?» One of the waitresses turned to us and said«You haven’t had a server come out yet?» When he replied«No» she said«AWESOME» and turned her back to us to walk inside. We ended up leaving. We have it another shot last night with another couple. The waitress was pleasant, but my husband’s tenets came out COLD. She put in another order and by the time it came out the rest of us were done eating… and they were luke warm again! We asked our server to see if a manager could take care of it and she said absolutely but that she was«Going to look for a manager that would actually do something about it»(so obviously the servers don’t even have manager support!) She came back out to tell us that the manager said he would only take the meal off the check if she took the actual food back! At this point, my husband has had NO dinner while the rest of us are finished! I immediately asked her to send the managerb out immediately. When she came back out(without a manager) we were told he decides to just take it off the bill. Pete(the manager because I asked for his name) is a coward of a manager who won’t even show his face to guests with issues! It’s obvious he shows no support to his staff either! After 2 tries, we’re DONE with this restaurant! Beware, as the servers seem unhappy working there as well and you will most likely get poor service, due to terrible management. Zero stars if not for our kind, but stressed out, waitress who tried her best to make things right!

Boy was it hard coming up with a star count for here. The food was fantastic. We enjoyed a chips and queso to start. For entrées we had the smokehouse burger and chicken tenders. Outstanding food. The scratch kitchen clearly shines. The black mark over the entire evening was service. It was horrendous. After waiting about 15 minutes to be seated(even though there were open tables), it took an additional 10 minutes to be greeted by our server. She apologized for the delay and took our drink and appetizer order. She had an issue with another table, so the delay was excusable. Then came the salad course. She forgot two key items that she even pointed out would cost extra. When our entrées arrived, we were asked if we needed anything. The answer was yes. She then proceeded to walk around the restaurant a few times talking to others rather than bringing what we asked for.(One item was correcting a mistake she made on a side dish.) After about 10 minutes, I asked another person to get a manager. While the manager was at our table, miraculously our items arrived with another server. I missed a few things in my description above, but I hit the highlights. The manager comped a few items on our bill which was nice, and it’s the only reason this review is a 3 star rather than 1.

The issue just mentioned by another reviewer about the to-go orders is infuriating. I do like Cheddar’s chicken tenders, and an elderly friend often gives my husband Cheddar’s gift cards in thanks for odd jobs he does for her. But we hate to eat in this location because it’s usually loud, a little grubby, and the service isnt the best. I find it so ridiculous that they won’t accept call-in orders that I plan to just re-sell the next card she gives us. The location in the town where we used to live was clean and pleasant. This chain seems to have gone way downhill.

Never had an issue with this location before until recently.(Side note: I grew up with a Cheddars in my hometown so I am used to the menu and have always enjoyed it). Been to this location a couple of times and the food and service were great. However, the last time was bad. My husband, two children and my in laws and I were wanting to order Cheddars to go for dinner. The reason why we didn’t want to eat there was because it was my youngest child’s 1 yr birthday and we wanted other people to enjoy their dinners and didn’t want to be disruptive. So, we decided eating it at home would be best. I got everyone’s orders and was about the leave work for the day. So I called to place a to go order. Very rudely I was told that I could not place a carry out order that they don’t do phone orders. What restaurant doesn’t do to go orders? So I called another restaurant and we spent $ 70 somewhere else. I even contacted the location and they did not respond so obviously they do not care about losing any money.

Food was fairly good. Host sat us at a dirty table and had to wipe it off. Communication people… Burgers a little over cooked for medium. My broccoli casserole came in a dish that had a huge chip of it missing. Our server Ileria was basically trying to rush us out. She brought our food and 2 minutes later brought the check and when we asked for 2 more beers she never brought them. Beautiful restaurant but needs to do a better job in training and professionalism.

Food was decent but the service was awful. The plates continued to stack up and when we asked the server to clear the plates he acted like we were asking him to raise the titanic. Manager also walked by our table stacked full of dishes:(

Had a great dinner. One of a few places where you get good food and legit cocktails. I ordered a Manhattan that was exceptional and my wife had another cocktail that was super good(with the right amount of the ingredients). Then i ordered a grilled tilapua with mango sauce and it was fantastic. Great dinner, with friendly staff, in a nice decorated scene. My only feedback is for the waitress to give more time to people to decide what they want. I asked for few minutes and in less than a minute i had the waitress asking if i have decided. Rule of thumb, if i am still looking at the menu then i am not ready yet :)

Nice affordable, large portions of food. If you enjoy all American food have no fear this is the place for you. Cheddars always stay pack due to the quality and quantity of the food. I have been several times and can always find something different. This past visit I tried the New Orleans pasta it had chicken, shrimp, sausage & rotini noodles it was a medium spicy and I topped it off with a Texas Tea which has a fair amount of alcohol. I have yet to have a bad experience at Cheddars. If you see one around town or in another town stop by and try it. It’s worth the try.

I loooove this place! The food is so good and they give big portions for a great price. The only downfall is that it’s pretty crowded like all the time! The chicken fingers are so good and try the honey lime mustard. The ribs are so good too! Pretty much everything! Be sure to get the croissants too so good!

Sometimes you just feel like classic, American chain-food…And when I get that craving, Cheddar’s is my favorite place. Some people would say this place is comparable to like a TGI Friday’s or Applebee’s…I would say yes, but you know how when you go to those restaurants the food always sounds better on the menu than it is in real life? Well, at Cheddar’s it is actually GOOD… and CHEAP. If you don’t like their food, you’re not ordering the right thing. I always get the chicken caesar pasta salad which is awesome(and a ton of food). I also like their steaks. Get the broccoli cheese casserole on the side. Reminder: you do not come to this place because you’re on a diet and want something light! You come here to get cheap, consistent food that is comforting. Also, be prepared to take home some leftovers. The prices cannot be beat here. My fiancé got a steak and chicken strip with two sides for $ 13.50…I repeat, 13 freaking dollars. You can barely even eat fast food for these prices! And his steak was a perfect medium-rare. Yes, there is always a wait. PROTIP: Eat in the bar area. You get the same menu, you can sit in a booth, a server will come to your table and take your order… It is exactly the same as sitting in the main restaurant. Except you don’t have to wait! All the booths and tables in the bar area are first come first serve. The décor is lacking, but for what it is, I think Cheddar’s is pretty darn good.

Cheddar’s is another one of those chain restaurants but the food is actually pretty good and kind of cheap for the amount you are given. The biggest turn off about this place is in the fact that they are almost ALWAYS super busy and crowded. Expect long waits no matter what time you go. They are also HORRIBLE for groups. It must be difficult to get the tables at the same time and they almost always insist on splitting groups up among booths. During my last visit a very large family came in and they were split between a table and two booths with myself and my date in the middle of them yelling back and forth to each other. Another turn off is the fact that a lot of the entrees are pre-made which means you cannot make adjustments to the food. And who wants to eat food that they’re just microwaving and plating? I really only come here when I have to or when I know I won’t have to wait all night to get seated which means rarely, but it is a great place where everyone can find something they will enjoy.

Third time wasn’t a charm here. The first two times we sat out our table for 20 minutes after placing our drink order, and left after never receiving them. This time we were able to get drinks, at our dirty bar area that was never wiped down, and enjoyed some mediocre at best food. The place is doing great business, but not anymore from us.

2.5 stars, really. — Extremely busy. Line out the door. We waited nearly an hour(and went to hhgregg to kill time). — There is a decent amount of space up front to wait in, which is nice. The fish tanks and dark wood are vaguely pleasing, too. — After being seated, we again waited quite a while before anyone asked for our drink order. There may have been some confusion about who was supposed to serve us. — Once we got a server, she was friendly and attentive. — Husband ordered ribs. A few min later, server came back to tell us that unfortunately they were out of ribs. Husband settled for chicken tenders but didn’t really care for them. — I ordered chicken pot pie, which was pretty good, and an appropriate size(filling but not wastefully large). Verdict: The food is fine, just not worth a long wait. Hopefully this location will iron out its rhythm of service to reduce delays.

I can’t believe I have never heard of this place before last night! The portions are big and the price is very cheap for what you get! We started off with an appetizer of Onion Rings, which were piled up high. If I were to see this somewhere else I would guess it would cost at least 7 – 8 $(typical price at most other restaurants), but it was only 4.58ish. I ordered the Salmon dinner which came with rice and two sides. I got corn and mashed potatoes. I was expecting a small piece of salmon because the dish was so cheap around 12 $. Well I was wrong! The salmon was at least 9oz, and very thick. This dish could have easily been priced at 20 $. I was stuffed when we left and our dinner was only 33 $(two drinks, appetizer, and two dinners). The décor is really nice, the food is even better. Make sure you check it out! It’s my new favorite place to eat!

I worked in Omaha for 19 months. There was a Cheddar’s right down the road. We passed it all the time on some other place to eat. The locals didn’t deem it lunch worthy, so I was skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised. The décor was nice and included a huge fish tank behind the bar. Our server was very pleasant and just attentive enough. Mom had the chicken strips and shrimp, which came with two sides. It was a LOT of food for the money. She seemed to enjoy it. I had the Key West Chicken and Shrimp. It was good. I had broccoli and sweet baby carrots as sides. The broccoli was steamed and delightfully healthy. I was pleased it didn’t come swimming in butter. The carrots were also steamed and deliciously sweet. The chicken was service with pineapple, rice and tiny slices of jalapeño. I wasn’t expecting the jalapeño; it caught me off guard. It added a nice heat, but I’m not really a ‘heat’ person. They were easy to avoid… and I did. Still, if someone was interested in a little kick, these jalapeños are a nice touch. I’m not sure I’d go back, but not because it was a bad experience… because it wasn’t. It wasn’t special, either. Pretty standard fare for a chain restaurant. I suppose if I were in the area I would go back, but I am rarely in the area and most likely won’t drive just to come to Cheddar’s. Still… it’s a nice addition to the area. It’s always nice to have options.

This Cheddar’s location had opened not too long ago, and I had been meaning to check it out for a while. However, their vegetarian options did not seem particularly plentiful beyond appetizers, so this visit kept being put off. With my brother in town for the week, I thought visiting with a meat-eater might make for a more pleasant visit. I ended up leaving happier than he did! It was pouring rain when we pulled up, so we were a little soaked upon entering but we were seated promptly and thankfully the a/c wasn’t blasting. We placed our order, but it was well over 5 minutes before our requested water glasses showed up at the table — and the water had an odd taste that both my brother and I noticed. I ordered the Baked Spasagna with a side of Broccoli Cheese Casserole, and I enjoyed everything that I ate. My brother ordered a burger and requested it to be medium-rare, but he reported that it came out well-done and was disappointing. Portion sizes were good, and I had leftover Spasagna for two lunches.
