The daytime person who claims to be the manager is a jerk. He followed me around the store making sure I was there to buy something. Then when I asked him if he had any 100 proof vodka, he remarked they’re all 100 proof. On top of it, this disgruntled employee denied access to buy because I asked if they could order IPA’s? Other convenience stores have actually encouraged the ordering of micro-brewers? I’m all for small business/family owned guys. This liquor store either needs to hire better staff or retrain themselves in customer service. Never going there again, capitalism at its best.

overpriced, but what liquor store isn’t, but at least they have a good selection of drinks and mixers.

I went to buy some Craft Beer. The selection wasn’t good. The Usual. It took me a while to decide since they didn’t have that much to offer. The store looks dated, It needs a remodel. The Liquor selection also looks like it needs some work.

I go to this place every time we forget to buy a bottle for prefading or if Jersey Shore is on(because I would never watch that show sober). They pretty much have the vodka and moscato I prefer to drink, at a cheaper price than Ralphs, down the street.

boo as in boo-ing the Raiders at Charger games. i’m boycotting this store b/c of what my wife told me. she parked her car in front of the store to pick up a to go order from Mandarin Chinese. a worker from the store ran out and screamed at her. my kids were with her when the guy unleashed his tirade so they heard everything. i understand he must be sick of the Southwestern students parking their cars in front of the store but this was like 7 at night. i use to come here to replenish my booze inventory but not anymore. this incident has cost them future businesses i will give them.

The local liquor store. They have my favorite beer here, Ballast Point Black Marlin. Whenever the son of the owner is working, hip hop music can be heard coming from this place. He also likes to shoot the sh*t with you and he can be hilarious at times. Some of the liquor is pretty pricey and they don’t stay open that late but what else can you expect from suburbia.

I was just a tad impressed with their selection. I opted for a litre of Beer Chang(Thai beer) for $ 2.99 and some beef jerky. A couple days ago, I saw a guy getting arrested from this place. I figured SW Liquor has got to be my kinda place after that. So when I walked in tonight, sure enough… zany dudes talking insane shit, not giving a flying fuck about anything. I love it. I don’t know why I’ve been complaining there are no good liquor stores in east chula. This place represents just fine.

Unlike Alissandra, I didn’t get any freebies. For its size, I would say this is a pretty well stocked liquor store.

Across the street from Southwestern College, it’s in one of the busiest shopping centers that I’ve witnessed in Otay Mesa. I live two street lights away from this particular booze store, and I go in there frequently for their 2 for 1 cigarette deals. It’s a tiny little store, and their al-kee-hol prices aren’t any different from your normal liquor store, but the owner and his sons are extremely courteous to every customer that browses their establishment. They’re really laid back and can easily remember you after entering their store just once. «Oh, you’re short 48 cents? That’s okay, just take it sweetie.» «Oh, you’re buying 3 fifths of vodka? I’ll only charge you for 2.» That sort of thing happens a lot in there. With all of that, it kind of makes you wonder how this family stays in business if they’re cutting corners for their customers all the time. They kill you with their damn kindness, that’s how, and I keep going back.
