Trails are nice and well maintained. Enjoy running here. Can get really hot down in the caynon. The section I run is mostly flat. I like that there is little to no people when I go here. The have little picnic areas which are nice. Parking. There are bike trails that run parallel to the main trail. BEWARE of rattle snakes! They like to stay right at the edge of the trails. Had my ear buds in and almost didnt see that there was a rattle snake at my feet.

Very clean canyon. Nice walking path and beautiful vegetation. Unfortunately half of the canyon is populated with electric poles which doesn’t look very attractive. Also, the path is straight with almost no elevation so if you think you can hike here you need to go somewhere else.

This is a pretty decent trail down in Chula Vista, its very quiet once you get out on the trail. Its really easy to navigate, only one direction to go and its rather flat. This is a perfect trail for running, no asphalt or concrete on it. Chula Vista keeps it pretty clean and plenty of parking out front.

If you’re trying to locate this location take E. H street, make a left into Paseo Ranchero. Turn right onto S. Rancho Del Rey Pkwy and the destination will be on the left. This a great place to come jogging, take your dogs for a walk, or to bring your mountain bike. You get to see plenty of nature on this four mile hike. Once you reach about a mile and a half, you have to cross the street and the trail continues. When you come to end of the trail, if you cross the street, you get to see the view of Downtown. I don’t think many people know about this hike. I only saw three people when I did this hike.
