Good hike with amazing views! Take the switchbacks as it is very steep at the beginning! It’s about 2.5 miles one way. Great workout.

Come here a few times a week and hike in the afternoon. Fun trail. Great views when there is no cloud cover or haze. Can be challenging, especially when you go during the hottest time of day. I have done hikes as short as 3.5 miles up to 6+ plus. Dress appropriately. I wear an old pair of walking shoes and have no problems. Bring water, suncreen, and watch out for tarantula wasps! If you see a big ass black flying thing with orange wings, BECAREFUL!

Nice little hike you park at the bottom plenty of street parking plus is a dog friendly just make sure you pick after your four leg friend. You can either take the short way or the long way. The shorter is a little more challenge for those beginners but not impossible to accomplish keep it up till you reach the top for great views. From three you can turn right and keep going to Mt. Miguel’s which is pretty cool if you reach to the Antennas. Good luck Go Hike \O_o/i done Rock trail couple times and every time it’s seems something new you just climb the mountain and the views are great. Never done it at night but hopefully one day I’ll try I bet the views are even better with all city lights. One more thing this hike is pet friendly-biker friendly-kids friendly and hiker friendly too meaning Everyone is welcome.

It’s a short hike, with amazing views. It’s steep at first but eases up after the first half mile. On a clear day the view is hard to beat. You can easily see Coronado, downtown, and Mexico. This is a great hike if you don’t have all day and want to get outside and do something. Lots of people bring dogs and some have picnics at the top. For the most part the trail is not crowded. You may see a snake, so be prepared for that possibility. It seems like you’ll get to the top really fast but it keeps going around corners! No need to call it a day when you get to the Rock House flag, plenty more trails await just keep going!

A beautiful and perfect hike for sunrise or sunset. Breathtaking 360 degree views of the lake, golf course, the ocean, the city and Mexico. Roughly 3 miles total with a clear hiking trail and biking trail.
