Burned chicken !!! And no sauce !!!
I requested the teriyaki sauce ON the chicken arrived home and there wasn’t any.
I’m giving them a one star because it’s not the first time they messed up.
Avoid this location.

I am posting this to voice my displeasure with the preparedness of Panda Express #1098 at 1820 Main Ct in Chula Vista. Three of the past four Sundays I have gone to this establishment at 10am. Each time at least one of the items that I desired was not ready. I do laundry a block away early on Sunday and then wait until ten so that I can purchase my meal for the day. It is very disappointing to then have to wait additional time. The first time this happened, my daughter was offered a complimentary small drink, but I (who was paying, by the way) was ignored. The last two times nothing. The food is adequate so I keep giving them another chance but each time I’m frustrated again. Even after voicing my displeasure, the only thing that I receive is a weak apology. In my opinion, while I would just prefer that everything is ready when the doors open, I should be offered something complimentary. Not that I want something for free, but it has always been my experience that if the establishment is inadequate in any way the manager has always tried to make amends. My advice to anyone planning to go there, wait until well past opening time.

Website said open until 10, closed at 9:45. How can I possibly give you a good review?

When I last ate here I was very disappointed they basically were out of everything, they asked me if I wanted to wait for fresh chicken and so I did, after my chicken was done I wanted some fried rice and they told me that a customer that had came in after us already ordered that item ??? That’s really messed up they didn’t ask me if I wanted anything else and didn’t think it was a big deal to just ask for the other items after the chicken was ready but fuck me they sold what I wanted to the other customer. So I had to go to another place to get more food because there wasn’t enough food. I won’t be returning!

Worst Panda Express in San Diego! I’ve been there three times and every time I have to wait a minimum of 15 to 20 minutes at the drive thru! I brought the problem up with Michele the supervisor and asked her to walk outside to see how long the drive thru line was and how it’s interfering with parking… I’m hoping she puts effort in speeding up the drive thru… Avoid going to this Panda Express… poor customer service and poor drive thru service. This isn’t fast food… it’s slow food.

Dirty grill, chicken wasn’t ready or even starting to cook when I came in until way after I paid. Unorganized and disrespectful staff

We just came from Panda Express and found a cockroach in our food. I’m not sure how it got there but it’s probably because the rice and chow mein had been sitting under the heat lamp for a while. This is probably the worst thing that has happened to us in a fastfood restaurant. Two stars for the service, but the quality and cleanliness might be something to consider putting more effort on. From now on I’m going to have to go to trader joes to get something similar when I crave panda. Oh well. =(

Yes we all know Panda Express is a good take out place… Just didn’t know they were lazy! My son suffers from milk allergy but I always know what restaurants he can eat certain foods. So went yesterday and got take out and as always I got him a beef an brocolli panda bowl with steam rice. Got home and like in literally 5 minutes of him eating it… Had to
Rush him to the ER. He is 4 years old.
So looked through his food and I noticed the brocolli wasn’t covered in the brown sauce like it always does. So they just put regular brocolli that is a side… That contains dairy into the beef… Wtf…

Food here is the standard fill your belly with Chinese food. The only major issue is the manager is either too cheap to kick the AC up or it doesnt work every well.

Epic fail! I placed an order for the Fam and one of two item entrees I decided to change at the cashier drive through window. I told her I wanted mushroom chicken instead of kung pao. Of course got the inconvienance smirk, rolled eyes and was told ‚“you will have to wait 5 minutes!” I then asked for shanghai beef and clearly pissed she said, thats 5 minutes too!” Obviously I have a big truck & I can see through the window them serving walk-​ins food that I had to wait for! I got pissed and drove off! Bottom line is stop hiring freaking people who act like they are doing customers a favor by being there! We actually pay there checks, but I sure ain’t any longer! This place is garbage from bottom to top!

This panda is a good one! Clean, friendly and the flavors are great! Clean restrooms a big plus! The Service was fast with a lot of seating!

My favorite part of this place is that it has drive thru .
It is located behind the Shell gas station and Soup Plantation in Chula Vista. Right off the 805 freeway and Main Street…
They pretty much offer the same menu as all the other Panda Express restaurants …
They have outdoor seating as well indoor …
Lots of parking too .

I love Panda. however, every time I come to this location there’s always a long wait and they never have black pepper chicken ready. Tonight I sat in the drive-​through with my six-​month-​old daughter for over 10 minutes only to learn that they don’t have celery to make black pepper chicken. WTF! CLEARLY this is one of your most popular dishes. why aren’t you prepared to handle the demand? This is a fast food restaurant. not a 5 star diner. seriously I am beyond frustrated since taking my daughter in and out of the car in a child seat isn’t an option when I’m dead tired from working a full time job during the day. That’s why I came here for the convenience of going through the drive-​thru with my daughter. but this location really needs a makeover from the current way of doing business.

I like this Panda food. My favorite is orange chicken with rice and noodles. Line gets busy and I know it is not authentic Chinese food, but rather deep friend fast food mixed with noodles.

I would definitely recommend going somewhere else. First of all the drive thru line took a really long time and once I ordered they got my order wrong. They over charged me for 4 extra orders of spring rolls and when I was asking for a refund they got mad and the drive thru workers were rolling their eyes at me. Horrible customer service I would say.
Then they proceeded to argue with me and say that I ordered 5 orders of spring rolls REALLY! It was as if I was bothering them for asking for my money back.
Once they finished arguing with me and giving me my money they asked me to pull around and wait for my food because they were waiting for the fried rice to finish cooking. I waited over 15 minutes when I was told 5 minutes. I observed everyone else coming through the drive thru get their food right away and I was still waiting.
I got tired of waiting so I went in the store they had my food sitting there in the bag and felt as if they weren’t planning on bringing it out to me. I complained to the manager and all he said was to order online next time. I was so irritated I just granted my food and left. By the time I four home they gave me the wrong entrée’s the food was cold and the spring rolls were super stale.
Save yourself the time and effort and go somewhere what.

Ok first off… Whoever the girl was in the drive thru this afternoon shouldn’t be working the drive thru. We had to repeat and repeat and repeat and tell what we wanted. Plus when we ordered another plate she was like «another plate?!» We only had ordered 1 prior. So sorry we have two people to feed.
After that… We received our items I look in the bag. Sauce EVERY WHERE! Total mess! Awful! Don’t even deserve one star…

Used to love this place… but management must have changed. Food quality’s been going down, service becoming a joke. And this is last straw for me. How disgusting! Where do employees wash their hands, let alone the rest of us?! Profits above public health?

Ok first of all if you want AUTHINTIC Chinese food don’t come here & cry bout it not being real Chinese food. It’s Panda Express people come on! You should know by now it’s the fast food of Chinese food & it’s ok. Stop being cheap & stop complaining & go to PF Chains or something like that. Any hoo, well if your looking for a quick bite to eat of fast food of Chinese food then this is the place to go.
The mushroom chicken is my fav with the Teriyaki chicken being next & the noodles. The food is usually hot & good unless you come after 10pm then you get the scraps & smaller portions, it’s sad cuz well there not cheap.
The service is usually friendly & the place is clean for the most part. I like Panda for a quick bite to eat & I like this location (before 10pm). But for people coming here expecting PF Chains type of Chinese food & whine bout it on Unilocal well your just silly or on drugs or both, just saying. Is it the best Chinese food, no of course not but it’s good enough for me to come back. One thing that is odd tho, I’ve never seen a Chinese or Asian person work there hmmmm. Oh well don’t matter, see you soon Panda Express!
