Green Towing

I gave the phone number to this company to my husband when our minivan died in San Diego. To be honest, I thought I was giving the number for Angelo’s which I consider reputable. A contractor from FDZ towing showed up. They got the car loaded up and on it’s way to me where we live. When the driver wrote up my bill, it was for $ 164.80!!! To be towed about 10 miles!!! At that point my vehicle was being held hostage and I had no choice but to pay.
I called Green Towing later to ask about the bill. They couldn’t even tell me what one of the charges was for but insisted I had gotten a discount overall. CRAZY!!!
I feel completely ripped off by their exorbitant charges and taken advantage of since we were in a vulnerable position. This is a rotten way to run a business. Whatever happened to ethics?
I’m making a point to report my experience to the Better Business Bureau, as well.
