California Smog Check

I’m been here several times and never fails to satisfy me with their service. Super nice guy help me at the front desk, super kind and friendly. My car was ready in about 15 min. I’m a happy camper… Not to mentioned they had Café Moto.

I have been coming to this smog place for as long as I can remember. They are quick and have a good price range. Their customer service has usually been fabulous, although I remember a few times in the past were not so great. It was not enough to make me not come back. They have courtesy coffee and a TV in their lounge area. I love checking in and then going across the street to the Mexican restaurant for a meal. That is enough time for them to complete the smog check.

This review is for the Repair Shop associated with this smog check station. They’re located down the street from the main station at 101 N Glover. The car had failed the smog test taken at a different place and we knew that the car needed repairs in order to pass.
From our initial phone call for information to our final passed smog test, Adam was an awesome guide throughout the process. He patiently and cheerfully answered every question about the repairs and how the smog test worked with the OBDII. He made sure that we got the best price possible on the repairs, and cut us a break on the test. The place has a clean comfortable waiting room with a big screen TV (and remote!), fresh coffee, and current magazines. They even gave us a ride home when it was determined that the car would have to be left overnight. Adam and his crew made an anxious situation far less stressful for us and we highly recommend their repair shop and services!

This is the most over priced under qualified smog place I have ever been to for any car. I did my preliminary smog and it failed because of an OBD indicator that I had to take back to the dealer to get fixed. Fine that’s fair. When I get back I paid extra for a pre test to verify that my car would pass before wasting my retest for nothing. Mechanic said that my pre test has failed because I had a monitor that had not been set. So I go back to the dealer and have them attempt to reset this monitor paying more money on something that I didn’t need to do. I did some research afterwards and contacted other smog places and found out that I could pass smog on my car with the one monitor not set. These guys didn’t know that though and had me running around trying to get things fixed that didn’t need to be fixed. I’ll never get smog checked at this place again as I took my car elsewhere and for half the price that I initially paid here I got my smog complete with the exact same status that had failed me at California smog.

Love the service, but the Beautiful front desk Lady was not there today. That’s the only reason for missing Star. I have brought all three of my cars here for years and will continue to just for the good service

Nothing to complain about! Straight forward service. Had a minor issue regarding the OBD check on my car. The guy at the desk advised me what to do. Came back a couple days later to complete the check and passed. A matter of 15 – 20 minutes and it was all done.
Courteous service. Straight forward. Helpful. No BS. Quick.
Even if my car hadn’t passed smog, my rating would still be true.

This place seems to have a customer service model based on the fact that they do not care if they ever see a repeat customer. I was charged for a smog test (pass or fail) when I clearly stated that I just wanted a basic smog test (with no free retest if needed). There is a big price difference between the two, and I know my car would pass because it is a late model subcompact car. When the time came to pay I was charged for the pass or fail and the guy laughed at me when I questioned the fee. He refused to correct the mistake and just shrugged his shoulders when I said I would never be a patron again if he did not fix it. Decide for yourself, but don’t say you weren’t warned.

Great place. Everyone is super nice and very affordable. The girl at the counter speak English and Spanish and she’s super nice. Five starts all the way.

My experience at Cali Smog was great. I’ve got my smog check done here twice, and I was in and out in only 45 minutes! The lady at the front desk was professional, courteous, and friendly. They got the job done quick and with no hassle at all. There was even free coffee from Café Moto in the waiting area.
This is a great local establishment and I would definitely recommend them for a smog check if you’re in the Chula Vista are.

People are nice and very accommodating. They have coffee, tea, and water for customers waiting. The establishment is old but they kept it clean and organized. They did my car’s smog check for under 20 mins. And DMV is just across the street.

The staff is hella friendly. The staff gives you the best service and gives you options.

Super friendly staff, the office is very clean, even the coffee was good. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes, a great experience overall.

Wow, GREAT place to smog ur car I used Unilocal to check this place out since I was at the DMV across the street. I watched the video and was very impressed and the girl was cute too, so I went and Vanessa the girl at the counter was very nice and informative. Everything was just like the video ad said they were super quick, coffee was freaking good and I passed all in under 20 mins. THANK YOU GUYS

Great place to do your smog. I highly recommend it. They have plenty of staff so my vehicle was ready before my coffee got cold. They do any kind of smog including the star vehicles and its right across the street from DMV. They put my mind at ease after the explained to me all the options that I had if my vehicle failed, thankfully mine didn’t but I am glad that I brought it to a place were they know what they are doing and are not trying to rip you off by failing it on purpose and they do offer free retest.

I am writing this based just on first contact.
Waiting for my smog is still to come .
Five stars for customer service. Happy person n fast to get the process started.
The girl is making me a fresh pot of coffee. So as I see it great place to get a smog.
If the car don’t pass .it is NOT their fault.

What the heck can I say bad about this place when they give you the coffee and water on… Coffee come from café moto and is delish… The prices are reasonable and everyone here is really freindly to me all the time

My first time I’ve ever had to have a car I own require a smog test. My dad has been going to this place for years so I figured must be good. I got there today when it opened. It was a smooth process. Everyone that works there are super nice. Definitely will recommend this location.

Came in randomly for a smog. This place is conveniently located beside the DMV in chula vista. Staff were friendly and helpful in expediting the process. You can expect to be in and out in less than 30 minutes, if you pass of course. For $ 75 dollars the task was completed. The perfect place for quick honest service.

Great place for smogs! Always professional and friendly. I’ve been going there for years.
