San Pedro Cod was AWESOME!!! With onion & tomato risotto, chorizo, shrimp, Kalamatra olives, mussels, and other wonderful tastes. Only improvement I would make is to upgrade the quality of the mussels. But overall it was an excellent dish.

The food here used to be great – delightful, well-prepared, made with quality ingredients – but it’s gone downhill over the past two years. Each visit is worst than the last. My most recent visit was on a Wednesday night. It was almost empty, but I stood in the doorway for five minutes waiting for someone to seat me. There were two patrons in the front of the house but no waitstaff. Finally, I just sat down at the bar. I then waited another five minutes for a bartender to appear. He knew nothing about the wine on the menu and had to ask someone in the back of the house when I asked for their driest white. The only food I ordered was the crab cake appetizer. Huge mistake. The crab cakes were the color and consistency of cat food straight from the can – grey/brown, semi-solid mush. Against all of my better judgement, I took a small taste… I’m pretty sure«rank» is the only word that accurately describes that experience. So gross. I literally shuttered. I quickly finished my wine – desperate to get the rank, salty fish taste out if my mouth – paid my tab, and left. Never. Again.

Cute and friendly atmosphere. Quiet enough to hear conversation but not so dead that it feels like a nursing home. Drinks, apps and food were all quite good but a tad on the pricey side. Nevertheless a good choice and quite enjoyable. BBQ shrimp with garlic risotto is good as was the New Orleans pasta with shrimp. Spinach salad was refreshingly excellent. Service was slow.

happy to say I will be giving them a second chance. I was contacted by email, they were very concerned about my concerns, asked for clarification of what they were, and said they wanted to look into correcting the problem. Very excited as it is good food.

Absolute favorite restaurant in town! Love their steak and ravioli. So many great flavors and sauce. Always great service too! Worth the money.

Excellent food at reasonable prices for what you get. Wait staff friendly and attentive. Nice wine and beer list. Nice variety of menu choices all creatively done. We had the salmon and the lamb chops — both perfectly done. This would be our top choice should we find ourselves back I the area.

One of my favorite places to eat in Chippewa Falls. The food is always fresh, and they offer a variety of dishes you can’t get at many other restaurants. It is a bit pricey for the area, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Their prosciutto wrapped mozzarella appetizer was wonderful, being that I love prosciutto! That is the only thing I really remember of the food I had so that is what I’m rating!

I agree completely with Michael F.‘s review. «The vibe is almost Napa Valley» is spot on. Friendly staff, fresh ingredients, nice setting. Expect to pay $ 30 – 50 per person for the evening but don’t let that discourage you, it is certainly worth checking out.

Duncan Creek offers a constantly-changing array of wonderful food and excellent selection of wines. The service is always good and the menu choices are always interesting and fun. Gorgonzola is always somewhere on the menu, which is great, as too few chefs are willing to work with this wonderful cheese. All in all, a great dining experience in the Chippewa Valley and a place more people from Eau Claire need to drive up and try!

If you live in Chippewa, you should be proud of how many successful restaurants there are in town that are not chain outlets(unlike those Eau Clarions down the road!). And one of my favorites when I visit is Duncan Creek. The vibe is almost Napa Valley, the cooking is very competent, the menu as interesting as one might find in a well-received joint in a foodie town. A bit more $ than you might usually pay in the area, but I think worth it.

Such a wonderful dining experience. Staff are very knowledgable and the chefs are masters of their trade. I usually order the special of the evening and have never been disappointed. I would consider it ‘fine dining’ but don’t be intimidated: it is reasonably priced and very casual. I’d eat there every day of the week if I could.

I was recently in Chippewa with my mom visiting my grandma. I knew that I wanted to treat my grandma to dinner because as she always says, «I’m a rich lady now,’ so I knew I had to spend my money on a nice meal. She of course recomended Duncan Creek which was perfect for me because I was hankering for a steak. It turns out so were my mom and grandma, as we all ordered the same entrée. The server was great, she was quick to get our bottle of wine and even had mushrooms for my grandma’s martini. As I said we all got the same steak entrée of various cook temps. I ordered mine rare and the meat was cooked perfectly. It came on a bed of mashed potatoes with a cabernet butter and a side of excellent green beans and carrots. It was exactly what we all needed that night. So effing good. Duncan Creek is adorable and the food is heaven, please go if you are ever in Chippewa.

Wow, great meal. My wife had the salmon and I has the bacon/tomato scallops. Not cheap but worth the money.

Have you been on a skinny street in spain at a café or france, maybe on capri at the waterfront, then you’ll feel right at culinary home in this bistro. Everything I’ve had brings me to a new level of taste sensation. its a must when you travel to this tiny town in wisconsin.
