The service could be better, however, it’s not horrible. I give it four stars for having to ask to be seated. I also wish they would serve homemade flour tortillas with their plates instead of corn.

The steak tacos had more flavor before they remodeled, salsa was hotter. Now I only go if I’m hungover and that’s for the posole. Bring back the flavor to the steak please

Came here with my brother, restaurant looks nice from the inside the only thing was that we saw a big roach crawl across the room at that point we got up and demanded our money back. They refused to give us a refund for half a taco and an untouched order of chilaquiles i dont recommend this place very rude. IFYOUDONTWANTTOEATWERETHEYHAVEROACHESDONTCOMEHERE

I have been going to this restaurant for years. Somehow every time I preordered my order ends up wrong. The food is good but the price keep increasing. Dine in vs Carry is the same either way the wait time is lengthy. My favorite items are the taco salad bowl and gorditas.

Hands down the best taco’s in Chicago. I can assure you, I am a taco connoisseur — constantly trying taco’s all over. Zacataco is number 1!!!

Authentic Mexican dishes in Chicago. I was excited to try the Carne Guisada Monday special but they ran out. They say it goes quick. We had the chicken flautas plate and grilled chicken breast. Both were juicy and tender with good flavor.

Horrible meat used for everything, so they salt it down and grill the he’ll out of it, leaving you with borderline food poisoning. This is ghetto food from dirty towns in Mexico, that’s it. Nothing here is fine dining, all peasant food. If your used to garbage in your body and high blood pressure from eating junk, you will love this food. Oh, and non Mexicans who wouldn’t know a good taco if it was right in front of you try this place and think it’s the bomb, it’s not.

What can you said about this place other than delicious, delicious, delicious. I’ve never had a bad meal from this place in five plus years. The favour of the meat is addicting. Meat could be more tender but overall zaco taco is the type of place you recommend over and o er again.

Im Mexican so I’ve had my fair share of tacos and carne asada but this is hands down one of the best spots I’ve ever been to. Anything with carne asada will more than likely change your life. Would give it 5 stars but the customer service is pretty bad and doesn’t seem like they want to be there. A must try though!

One Of The Best Food Spots Of Chicago. My Opinion. I Love This Place. The Steak & Chicken Prepared Here With Various Combos And Dishes Definitely Set Them Far Ahead Of Other«Authentic» Claiming Counterparts. From The Salsa’s To The Entrees I’m Positive You will Be Pleased.

This morning’s breakfast was the most horrible breakfast i have ever had. We were planning for breakfast for four. We were excited but after spent $ 29.28, Huevos Mexicana was bland and no flavor, Chilequiles was just tortillas in a fiery and spicy sauce. The only good dishes were Huevos Rancheros and Huevos Estreallados. Biggest waste of money I have ever seen. If you want a good breakfast, go to Les Brothers.

I’d give this a higher rating but knocked it down due to crowding, customer service and length of time to be served. But the food you get is pretty good. The burrito is a hand-eaten type and doesn’t come with the melted cheese in the picture on the menu, but it’s still good. Carne asada is overcooked for my taste. Tacos are generally good. Not a bad place to eat. There are probably worse places like Chicago, like Pepe’s, but there are also worse ones.

I’ve tried this place twice now. The first time I had steak tacos, they were good, not great but good. The second time I had their enchiladas, steak wit red sauce. These were exceptional, a little sweeter than I would have liked but still very good. The reason I only gave it 3 stars instead of 4 for the good food is because the place looked dirty and the decode was very dated.

Solid, consistent and on point. Quality meat and done just right. The service is fast and reliable. Despite the traffic, the wait is short. People who know good tacos come here. Hands down one of the best places in the city.

I’m a big fan of Zacatacos. Been dining at their restaurants forever. I’m reviewing this location because despite the small dining space, they make it work. I waited about 8 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated, service was fast, waitresses were friendly, food was spot on. I had a steak torta with all trimmings(nice soft torta bun, steak meat cooked to perfection, beans, sour cream, shredded lettuce and thin slices of avocado). My son had two steak tacos with cilantro. The red salsa is delicious, spicy and tasty enough to give your food that extra kick! This place serves authentic inexpensive Mexican food. I highly recommend stopping in at least once, you won’t be disappointed!

This is a mom-and-pop chain that’s been around for awhile. If you want an expensive Mexican plates or a la cart tacos this is a place. I do not know if they are BYOB because they don’t really say they are. I know for sure they do not serve alcohol. The food tastes pretty good. Place is always packed. I would think it’s because it is so inexpensive and it actually tastes pretty good. I have tried the tacos, enchiladas, taco salad, flautas and rice and beans. They were all pretty good. The service is sometimes really slow because there’s so packed everyday all day. If tou are looking for inexpensive Mexican food that tastes pretty good I would definitely suggest this place.

If you need a taco fix, I guess come here. It isn’t 100% the greatest. The meat is kinda hard to chew. They remodeled which is nice. My fav is the Carne asada taco salad. Unfortunately they always get my order wrong. I ask for no beans and extra veggies. I never get my extra veggies!!! I’m not asking for more meat! Lettuce ain’t that expensive. Angry veggie lover.
