This cafeteria has great food(at a great price) especially as someone who works in the building. They recently got almond milk, which has been a great change. There is a fresh smoothie bar for the mornings. There are lunch specials almost every day of the week and the variety is great. The view is wonderful.

So fortunate to have this cafeteria in the building. Great selections. Always have deli, salad bar, grill, cooked dishes, and desserts. Salad and cooked dishes are sold by weight, so it encourages eating healthier/fewer, while I could taste a little bit of everything. 2 vegetables, 1 meat, 1 fish, and 1 pasta,(all in small portion, though,) totaling only $ 5+ with 30 seconds’ walking to my floor. What else can I ask for? A great view of the city is even a bonus! Much better than the view from my office which is on a lower floor. I guess I’ll be here everyday during winter. Healthier, cheaper, closer, with a great portfolio.

Best café in that price range ever(note– buffet places in Japan and Korea are WONDERFUL, but also super expensive, like in nice hotels it can be over $ 150/person). I was skeptical at first, but this café knocks my socks off. I was soo happy to be eating here daily. I especially love that at least once a week, they have a special catered dessert day. They have 5 – 6 options of beautiful and delicious desserts to pick. LOVEIT… Woohoo UBS with the café and 1 N Wacker downstairs(note– 1 N Wacker food is 3.5÷5 and drinks are 3⁄5). The only bad thing about UBS is that there’s no food stipend, unlike other companies like GS and JP Morgan, and I love the food, so I end up spending $ 12−20/day lol. Thank goodness for my ok metabolism!

I used to work in the building and LOVED this cafeteria! Is it still there? Can I get in there without working in building?

I’m definitely a fan of not having to go outside for lunch during Chicago’s worst frigid conditions… like today! Like most other reviewers, I work in this building but not for UBS. Great selection, delicious breakfast and lunch.

Recently, the cafeteria has raised its prices and elminated a few of the old standards in the variety department. Gone is the ‘eat on porcelain and save cash as well as the environment’ and a few other perks that made the place really cool. Now, the hardboiled egg costs 75 cents and the slice of bread with peanut butter costs 80 cents. It’s still a great place relative to what’s in that neighborhood. But it’s not cheap and the daily choices have definitely narrowed.

For a cafeteria, I gotta say, this one is pretty darn decent. For a reasonable price, I can fill up on nearly any type of food I choose: pasta, salads, soup, burritos, sandwiches, wraps, paninis, veggie burgers, comfort foods, etc. They only take cash, but no worries, there’s an ATM right there off the elevators. I wouldn’t say it’s fine dining at its best, but for the price, the convenience, & the variety, it certainly does its job well! PS: For all you cupcake lovers … theirs are orgasmic.

I also work in the UBS building, and I agree that the café is amazing! There’s a great selection of fresh salads, antipasti, fresh-made sandwiches and wraps, carved meats, and they usually have a pasta or stir-fry station set up. Breakfast, though, is where they really shine — you can get(and I have gotten) loaded hashbrowns, which is an entire big square takeout container filled with hashbrowns and your choice of up to 3 ingredients(onions, green peppers and sausage for me) and cheese… all for $ 2! It’s so filling I skip lunch! The people are very friendly and they actually respond to comment cards. My only wish is that they eventually take credit cards, or some sort of pre-filled cafeteria«credit» card. But very happy we have this place in the building! Edit: they do now have a card that you can pre-fill and scan when you pay! YAY!

I love the UBS Cafeteria! I work in the building for a company other than UBS so it is very convenient. The selection is great. You can get a sandwich, something from the grill, wraps, hot sandwich’s, quesadilla’s, comfort food, or salad from the salad bar. Whatever you have a taste for, you will find it on 30! The prices are reasonable. They are open for breakfast and they only accept cash.

I work in the UBS building, but not for UBS. UBS opens up their cafeteria for all companies in the building. There are various stations throughout offering a multitude of options(soups, sandwiches, wraps, stir fry, carving stations, tacos, hot dogs, pasta, etc.). Great salad bar! About 75% of the items offered are sold based on weight and the other 25% have an actual sticker price. Fairly friendly employees and you definitely get a lot more for your money than running out to the various cafes, etc. in the surrounding blocks.
