After my daughter had knocked a hard drive off a table; the dead drive was USELESS; after a year of debate; i sent it to a different drive recovery service; but after three weeks of nothing and poor customer service; i decided to try Secure Data Recovery; and in less than a week of having my drive; they were able to offer a confident outlook on the recovery. I decided to take the drive back, and after some hassle (you can’t pick it up, you have to pay $ 25 to have it shipped back to your address), I took it to my IT savvy friend, who ran a free OSX app to check if anything was recoverable. Turns out that it was just a directory corruption, and the software managed to pull the whole 1TB off the drive overnight.
I saved $ 1,500 by asking a friend first. You should do the same!
