Just grabbed lunch on a layover and my salad came missing some of the ingredients from the display salad I ordered. My husband took it up to them and they said«oh we were out of those ingredients». For a $ 10 salad if you are out of an ingredient you need to tell the customer and replace it. The quality of the salad was poor-processed meets and iceberg lettuce.

I got a «create your own,» and can I say, underwhelming? You get a choice of 5 «toppings.» But they don’t have any fresh veggies besides carrots and cucumbers. No meat besides turkey vs ham. No peppers. No pickles. Nothing I would usually get on a salad. I feel ripped off. They need to get more standard shaped bowls and put more focus into the quality of food they provide. I bet the bowls cost much more than the ingredients they used to «create» my TINY bowl of iceberg salad. I get it that this is the airport, but you can do better than that. Really. Pros: It’s salad Cons: Overpriced($ 10+ for a tiny bowl of iceberg lettuce. They should be ashamed of themselves) Limited topping choices(nothing good) Base is iceberg lettuce(seriously?!) The service was horrible and the servers were super SUPER stingy with their portions(I’m talking 5 pieces of 1 cm cubes of turkey as my «meat» option).

I guess this is a healthy option, but the salad is boring/dry and wasn’t appealing to the palette at all, on the bright side Atleast you get to eat right at the airport!

No spinach. Seems like a healthy option, but there is not a lot of nutrients in yellow, wilted lettuce and other vegetables. Plus, all their dressings taste like they came from a bottom shelf of a supermarket. Almost every place in the airport offer a salad, you are better if getting it at McDonalds, it would much fresher for less money.

There are never a ton of healthy options when you’re stuck in the Airport. If you are in Terminal C, Saladworks can be found in the food court. Examples of the salad options are located in the display case. I ordered the vegetarian salad, but they also have varieties such as Cobb and chicken available for purchase. Service felt a bit rushed, as typically expected in any busy airport. Also the salad set me back almost $ 10(insert sarcasm here). The salad was good, and pretty standard. It would have been nice had they offered additional sides. Service was pleasant. They ladies greeted me with a smile. If you’re looking to grab a bite and want something healthier, then Saladworks should do the trick.

I got a turkey club sandwich with creamy ranch dressing. It was made quickly. They have lots of salad options. For the airport, the value is good. The cashier started to put the salad box in a plastic bag, but I said«I don’t need a bag.» She stopped. I ate the meal at a table in the food court. The table was clean and the salad was tasty.

Let’s face it, it can be really hard to find something even approaching healthy(let alone appetizing) in the post-9/11 TSA-stifled market haze of an airport gate in the US. And if you’re vegetarian or vegan, you already know it’s almost impossible. Enter Saladworks! — the only fast-food chain I wish I could find at every airport on my travels. Don’t get me wrong, this will not be the most amazing gourmet salad you’ve ever eaten. But it is a salad. It is healthy and refreshing. It is also quick and customizable. Basically, you stand in line like at a Subway/Quiznos restaurant and choose your options, selecting from a wide range of fresh-looking offerings. If you’re in a rush, there’s also a board chock-full of pre-menu’d items like a Chicken Caesar, Greek or Southwestern. But you can customize your salad any way you want. Best salad I’ve ever had? Certainly not. But Saladworks deserves 5-stars for providing much-needed diversity in a market typically dominated by pink slime patties, transfat-pastries and mystery-meat wonderbread sandwiches. And at a reasonable price to boot. I’m a fan.

Heh airport salad. So it is expensive for what it is but in an air port where food options are limited to unhealthy garbage for the most part, it is nice to have this option. Overall worth it for a healthy option in an airport.

Terrible. Unfriendly. They charge $ 1 more for the mixed lettuce which was still mostly iceberg. Some of the chicken pieces were very hard and tasted still slightly frozen in the center. Skimpy on salad dressing and no bread like other salad works. Skip this and get a packaged salad.

I’ve had a better salad from McDonalds. Servers were not understandable. Lettuce was not even green. Had Cobb salad and the bacon was all fat. So much for being a healthy choice. I tossed it and found myself a Chicago dog.

Sophie’s salad: good portion. Greens are a bit wilted but not too bad. Three stars. Service: one star. Indifferent and impatient at best even without a line waiting. Gee, lady, you don’t have to work here if you don’t like your job. You certainly do not have the right to be rude to customers.

Saladworks… works. Airport food can be tricky for a whole host of reasons, especially when you have dietary restrictions or a timing issue. Living on a plant-based diet and only having an hour between flights, my options in Chicago O’Hare were pretty darn limited. Knowing this, I vetted out my food choices before landing and settled on Saladworks because of the seemingly plentiful choices. Unfortunately, the online menu options did not translate to the airport version of this eatery. Which is okay(because it has to be when you’re in a rush), but I definitely got my hopes up for no reason. What I wanted to order: baby spring mix, bleu cheese, focaccia croutons, walnuts, avocado, red onion, grape tomatoes, and olives all topped with chunky bleu cheese dressing. What I ended up ordering: iceberg lettuce, walnuts, egg, bleu cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes all topped with a watery, opaque dressing resembling a bleu cheese-ranch combination. Saladworks is located right at the mouth of the«food court.» There were two women working behind the counter, and after taking care of a woman and her three daughters it was my turn. «Can I build my own salad?» The woman said yes and let me know that I was allowed four veg and one meat; five veg if I wanted to skip the meat. In the end, because of the lack of choices I only ended up with four veggies. The woman visibly looked sad for me and ended up heaping bigger portions of what I did order onto the salad. That was very nice, Ms. Saladworks Lady. I appreciated that! The salad was substantial — I didn’t feel deliriously and delightfully full, nor did I crave more food after. For me, it was ideal«airport» food because it was relatively healthy and relatively flavorful(do NOT order the bleu cheese dressing, though). There was nothing about the salad that will make me long for it, but it got the job(of getting nutrients in my body) done. And sometimes that’s good enough for me! No, there’s nothing special or revolutionary happening here, but if you’re a vegetarian and you need a quick food fix, you won’t go wrong here.

This is the second time that Salad Works has saved the day. No it’s not fabulous or noteworthy food, but what it does provide is a healthy alternative when traveling — something that is hard to come by. In between the crappy Pizzeria UNOs and lure of McDonalds and Manchu Wok, Saladworks actually provides a solid healthy alternative for travelers. Personally I’d rather save those calories for a restaurant I truly enjoy or am looking forward to trying, not on throwaway French fries I hastily dig out of a bag as I lick the salt from my fingers clean. Although, that’s really fun too! I’ve had the mandarin chicken wrap with tons of lettuce, chicken, mandarin oranges and some fat free Raspberry twice now — not inexpensive for $ 10 but not resting on my conscience. Tasty too! I appreciate this place for trying and for being cheaper than anything in the JFK JetBlue terminal!

Well it’s fast food at an airport… but still my salad is supposed to be romaine. It is 99% iceberg with a few leaves of romaine. Additionally there is tuna in it when it should only be chicken and cheese. They just really need to make sure they’re not mixing up all the ingredients in case someone is allergic to something…

I’ve been to Saladworks a couple of times in the past and remembered it as being decent(never did I think it was that good). After being delayed at O’Hare and waiting in Concourse C, I needed some food. There’s not a huge selection, so I went with Saladworks. I’ve definitely ordered it in the past, but this particular Saladworks did not have a Buffalo Chicken salad. I’m not sure if Saladworks got rid of it or this location didn’t have it because they do not have a full menu. I went with the Cobb salad. And…it wasn’t good. It was put together on the sloppy side, the chicken wasn’t very good and they barely gave me any dressing so the salad was on the dry side big time. Needless to say, it wasn’t a good dinner. It was a decent size — just not very good. I was kind of wishing I had stopped somewhere else.

Here’s the deal: these guys have gotten a bad wrap(get it? They serve wraps)! It’s fast food salad… What do you expect? The servers are not too personable, but they are fast. The options are clearly explained behind the line with examples in the front of the counter. The lettuce is green and not brown. The toppings are plentiful and customizable! I can see where if you compare this to a real restaurant you could be disappointed… But when you are through Terminal C twice a week, in the busiest airport in the world… Sometimes a green option is golden! It’s a little pricey… $ 8.99 for a salad… But at least it’s not another burger, or fried! Be Happy, be Healthy! Add a check to 50 Shades of Green blog! A solid 4 Stars!

You’re in a food court in an airport … so, the expectations are not high. I ordered: (1) Cobb Salad — Fresh &OK (2). Turkey Wrap — Hubby said it had too much Ranch dressing … but, everything else was fine. My salad was A-OK & the service was friendly … 3 Stars

Located in food court. A little pricey for a salad, but all fresh ingredients and still a good choice!

As you might expect from an airport restaurant, this Saladworks in Terminal C of ORD is not a «full service» Saladworks. There’s no soup and no bread combo options, and the salad doesn’t taste quite the same, either. But it’s okay.
