My favorite go to place for mashed potatoes. The food at this place never disappoints and I have never had a problem with the employees or my order. Definitely Popeyes over KFC lol

Went to this Popeye’s location ordered a two piece one breast and one thigh they wanted to charge me $ 1.27 to replace the wing I told them that no other Popeye’s charges for that, they said it is policy. I have many choices of where to eat! I choose to never give this establishment my hard earned money again! I will choose other locations of Popeye’s that aren’t stingy like this one.

Though I’ve never had a problem with the food from here(it’s fast food, people, what kind of quality do you expect?), I’m actually writing this review because of EXCELLENT customer service. Again I say«it’s fast food» — they shouldn’t be this good. It’s so surprising. They’re not only friendly and appropriately polite, but you can tell that they’ve been well trained by management — it’s not just that we keep getting the one good employee in the place. They’re all that professional — they never forget to offer you what they should(receipt, drink carrier, etc.), they give your card back promptly, they give you plenty of warning ahead of time if what you’ve ordered could take longer, they use«sir» like it’s going out of style.

Ugh. I love Popeyes but I’m so sad this is the one near me. Some of the other reviews said it, but the business put little weight on customer service. Any time I want to customize my order, there’s an up charge. Want you pick thighs instead of breasts? Up charge. Want to change my order? Up charge. They even are stingy on the ketchup and hot sauce… I asked for ketchup for my medium order of fries, they give one measly packet and even«forgot» my hot sauce. I don’t know. I probably will end up driving 5 extra miles to avoid going to this particular Popeyes…

Actually deserves zero stars. Stopped by after my son’s baseball game in Bridgeport. I love KFC and think Brown’s is pretty good. I haven’t had Popeyes in 20 years but my son is a fan so we decided to give it a shot. The customer service is pretty bad mainly because of the language barrier. Not courteous and as stated here before, they keep on hammering you about extra charges. I got the 3 piece meal and without question it was the worst food I have ever eaten. The chicken is dry, the breeding is drier and my stomach felt terrible after. By all means avoid. The are a ton of other edible positions in this area.

David wanted greased and momma said okay. This place was near his apartment, so for a quick stop and run this Popeyes was it. I went through the drive through which was basic — nothing surprising. The server was pleasant and patient as I asked my questions,(of course, I couldn’t see her eyes roll, but she sounded nice and respectful) and how many times did I have repeat my order — 3 – 4 times. Hmmm. I don’t eat fried foods, but thought, it’s been forever since I had fried shrimp, so I ordered some. To my surprise they were okay,(just okay). Not that I would drive out of my way to purchase more, but they would suffice for the locals if they haven’t tasted Troah’s. My sons were pleased with their fried products, but sometimes I don’t they have tastebuds nor stomachs — just pits.

This place is great, but something caught my eyes when I went a week ago. I come here often. I saw that the Department of Health suspended this Popeyes license. I don’t know whether it is only this Popeyes, but hopefully it gets its license back when I check tomorrow.

I have only been to a handful of Popeyes, but this one is by far the best. The service is always friendly and good here. Luckily, this is right by my house. As far as the food, it is the same here as any Popeyes.

This is the nearest Popeye’s to me and unfortunately it’s about 20 minutes away. It’s worth it because the service here is fast and friendly. They never seem to be short on staff.

Ordered yummy cajun fries. The con is the service. They sound so busy and rushed us through. only to discover we had to wait at the drive-thru for five minutes… not sure why.

I have been going to this location on 32nd& Ashland for 10 years now and have had great food and service. The dining area is clean and the lines move fast. Also, the quality of the food is always at its best. I am surprised to read the horrible reviews people have written about this place. There is such a thing as being a good customer as well as giving good service. For example, If someone does not know what they want to order, common courtesy is to move to the side for others to move ahead. I have tried other Popeye’s and find this one to be one of the top 5 locations.

I loves me some greasy fatty crispy chicken and all the sloppy sides that come with it and yes I really love when I get them awesome 2 for1 lunch special coupons in the mail cause believe me I do use them and sometimes I even steal my neighbors coupons but don’t tell them that.

Usually come here for some chicken. It’s usually pretty good. Sides are decent. Can get busy and especially when they have those chicken deals like 8 pieces for $ 5 or $ 6.

It’s a busy place in the evenings which is a good thing, high turn around of food gives you higher chance for fresh chicken. On average, the majority of the customers are made up of Hispanics, I would say about 80%, Asians 10%, Whites 5% and Blacks 5%. I like their fried chicken but not the biscuits, too dry, yuck. They have an in-house coupon like no other when you buy 3 piece dinner with a medium drink, the additional 2 piece dinner is free. Great value. I’ve never been sick from this place and I’ve been there for years. My stomach is quite sensitive to bad food and MSG so I would know if the eatery is bad or not. I highly recommend this Popeye’s over the others.

Okay, everyone knows what a Popeye’s is and how it tastes. I really go here for the cajun fries more then anything. But I’m going to focus this review on the service. The food already meets the standards of your average Popeye’s. I’ve been coming here for years and the staff has almost always been majority hispanic that has barely spoke any English. I have no problem with that but if you can’t speak English you should not be working the cashier’s position. I’ve felt that has slowed the lines down many times because there has always been the language problem where they cannot understand the customer questions and they need to call someone over to be a translator. The place itself is about as clean as you’d expect a Popeye’s.

Not a very clean, eating friendly establishment, but in a pinch it will suffice. There is something about the spicy naked chicken that I really like. The drive through menu-board only seems to work if you are driving a pick-up or van to set off the sensor. So don’t try it in a normal sized car. The staff here always seems only mildly interested in work, and last time I ordered, the woman taking my order was mildly annoyed because I couldn’t give her the order in Spanish. If it wasn’t for the few menu items like the biscuits and mashed and gravy, I would stay away from this location all together.

The food here is always good, but I will have to knock out a point due to their staff. Most of the time, I will go through drive thru and take it home to eat… so I can’t tell ya anything about the cleanliness of the dining room. Now, I’m the type that doesn’t eat any dark meat… so I have to specify white meat… and then repeat it over about 4 times before they tell me it’s going to be an extra charge. «yes, the charge is fine»… then they repeat the extra charge for another 2 times before I can finally drive to the window. LOL.

If I could give this rat hole a negative score, it’d be a –10 at the least. Were it not for all of my prior experiences at other Popeyes being filled with fatty goodness, I’d swear off the chain all together after going to this one. I really like Popeye’s spicy fried chicken and absolutely love their biscuits. That said, it pains me(literally) to write this review. It’s a Sunday afternoon that found me craving some fried chicken; so we go to Popeyes on Ashland near Archer. We pull up to the drive thru and this is where my rant begins. [RANTON] We try to place a simple order; just a 3 piece meal w/dark meat, spicy, cole slaw, and a Coke. An order we have to repeat each component of the order three times because their shitty intercom system makes communication near impossible. Then I get home discover: no dark meat! WTF?! A breast and a couple of legs with no meat on them do not constitute as dark meat by any measure. The cole slaw had a somewhat odd taste to it; which led only to my prompt pitching of the styrofoam contained shit into the garbage can. Thinking, well at least they didn’t fuck up the drink and biscuit part; I proceeded to force consume the white meat pseudo-chicken and the biscuit and washing it all down with the Coke. End of story… So I thought… It’s 3AM in the morning; I wake up clenching my stomach in discomfort. I make my way to the bathroom and that’s when the real stomach clenching begins. Mind you, this order from Popeyes was the only food I had on Sunday save a bowl of cereal for breakfast. One of the two caused me to run to the can in the middle of the night… I don’t think it was the Honey Bunches of Oats… To eat the crap that they sell is akin to asking for a messed up order and a stomach ache in the middle of the night that leads to teeth clenching. Teeth clenching can lead to wearing down of enamel which can lead to cavities, cracked teeth, and other ailments that cause a lot of pain. Thus to sum up my rant, Popeyes at Ashland and Archer is horrible and will likely cause much pain; both in your near future and possibly for some time to come. [RANTOFF]
