Michael’s Cleaners

I’ve used them for the better part of a year with a great deal of success and ZERO headaches. Recently, in a pinch, I needed a suit and shirt pressed, cleaned on 24 hours notice. They came through without any problems. I have not had any issues whatsoever and they are very nice and professional. I’d use them in a heartbeat, just a fantastic place to get this kind of work done.

Went back today to fetch my coat… yep now her story changed and she told me I did bring her both buttons (she insisted last time I only brought one) but that now the coat was missing a button entirely when I brought it in in addition to the two that I took in to be replaced. Are you kidding me?
I told her that I am not the only one that is dissatisfied with her services and prices and she demanded to know who else, and I just said neighbors… she said okay that will be $ 21.25, same price she was originally going to charge me, to sew on 3 buttons, clean a white shirt nothing special. She seriously has zero sense of what a customer means and a customer who will tell all of her neighbors of her experience. Good luck staying here for another 25 years.

I have been using Michael’s for three years. They are located on the street level of my building and it is very convenient. In those three years, I would say I spend an average of $ 50 per visit. I realize I am a girl with items that are harder to clean than a man’s cotton dress shirt, but I have always thought I am paying a premium for the convenience of this place, and I do not think the service or product are worth a premium price. I have recently had to replace a shirt where the beads were melted during the dry-​cleaning process, and rather than apologizing for the error and offering me a discount, they still tried to charge me for the cleaning the shirt! Also, I got two pairs of pants hemmed (just shortened at the bottom, nothing extraordinary), and they charged $ 18 per pair! $ 18 bucks? I am no expert on tailoring, but I am going to guess I can walk another block and a half from my house and find a spot that charges less and does at least as good a job.
Bottom line, this place does not value your patronage or go above and beyond in any way. Take your business elsewhere.
