This store has been closed for a few years now. It was OK when it was open.

I love Logan Certified. The people working the register are always so friendly, and they actually smile at you. Rare for a liquor store. The wine and beer selection is awesome. You can’t count on a specific item to be there from week to week; but you can always count on finding something you’ll like. The prices are competitive, and are about on par with going to a Dominick’s or Jewel.

The beer selection is above average especially for a liquor store missing that many bulbs in it’s unlit marquee. The only thing is that you’ll be paying a dollar or three more than other liquor stores. Unfortunately the wine selection is quite weak which we found out because this is the closest liquor store south of Urban Belly and their BYOB gloriousness. The people(family?) working here are super nice and I find myself in here more often than I’d like since they do stock strawberry ice cream sandwiches and flamin’ hot Vitners crunchers. HOWDOTHEYKNOWMYVICES? Logan Square Certified Liquor & Food Super Market is perfectly sufficient in a pinch.

This is the closest liquor store to my apartment, which is the only reason I ever go there. The people who work there are nice people and the beer selection is ok, but there are reasons I will walk down to California and Fullerton instead: 1. Beer is overpriced by about 20%. A six pack of Modelo cans is $ 9. Domestic cans are $ 6 – 7. The 24 hour liquor store on Belmont after 2am is cheaper. 2. They split up cases of beer into six packs using generic six pack rings. That’s just shady, especially since they overcharge in the first place.

I hesitated for a split second while writing this review. Do I really want the Unilocal universe knowing that Logan Square Super Market sells Becks 4pk in tall cans for $ 5.19? Now you do. You’re welcome. Besides that killer deal they also carry a formidable selection of other brews, from new Schlitz(24pk!) to choice imports like Weihenstephaner. Can you tell that I only come here for the beer? I couldn’t tell you about the rest of the store, I’m sure it’s fine. They seem to stock all the convenience items you would expect. Friendly staff, I always feel welcome here. No complaints.

They have the basics for food and general apartment needs, a solid beer selection, and they are really nice people. They could use a few more choices in the wine department though.

This is your typical neighborhood convenience store. Just like Beth M stated they have the big white sign outside with red, fading letters that says Logan Square Food & Liquor. The gf lives around the corner from this joint and we usually have to go here when we run out of alcoholic beverages. They don’t have everything, but they always have what we need when we need it. You know stuff like Becks, Stella, Pinot or whatever. If you are driving parking can be a biatch because they have about 8 parking meters and when they are all taken, people decide to double park and run inside, blocking the street on Francisco. If you are in Logan Square around Diversey, between California & Kedzie and are in need of alcohol, milk, cigarettes or donuts, stop in! The guys working here are pretty cool and they take debit/credit

This is the place with the big vintage«Logan Square Food & Liquor» sign on the outside. Inside the store and on my credit card statement, it’s called«Logan Certified». Then it’s also listed online as «Logan Square Super Market». I think they’re having some sort of identity crisis. I needed some booze on NYE, so I thought I’d venture in here. Their wine selection was quite lacking. The bottles were a bit dusty and random, as though they were the remainders from somewhere else. The beer selection, on the other hand, seemed to be quite good, considering. They had several decent microbrews, such as Three Floyds and New Holland. And they had my favourite beer, Trois Pistoles, at a price the same or even less than what I pay at places with wider selections. They had some produce there, but it didn’t look very appealing. Neither did the case full of homemade tamales or something that had bad freezer burn. They had typical convenience-store fare as far as packaged snacks, household goods and bottled beverages go. I’ll probably be back for some more beer, but I wouldn’t consider this a supermarket by any means.
