I have two kids who are gluten/dairy intolerant so it’s nice to have Lil’s in the neighborhood. This is our once-a-week go to for the«must haves» my boys like — from the pizza crust to the pasta sauce. In my opinion the best thing about Lil’s is the people. They understand the allergies and will give you their honest opinions on products and make sure all the kids get a gfcf sucker before they leave(mine usually finish it before we leave the store). A great local business that I love supporting with many options to choose from.

Pricey but a nice selection of Gluten Free products. They have the«Schar» brand of bread which is a lot softer then other types of Gluten Free breads which are usually rock hard.

I love Lil’s. For years, I have either been driving all over the place or ordering online to find great GF baking supplies. Lil’s has a variety of GF cookies, crackers, pastas and frozen goods, in addition to an array of GF flours. The staff has always been knowledgeable and friendly. Only complaint is that they’re only open until 7 one night a week(Monday), and closed on Sundays. As someone who works downtown, it doesn’t give me much of a chance to get there during the week, but since they’re family-owned it’s understandable.

The southside’s hidden little secret. Well not exactly, but it’s the best little speciality shop around. Marcie(the owner) has such a big selection of gluten-free products in addition to low-protein and sugar free/low carb choices. Everything is always fresh and she always has great recommendations and samples. There is always something new, she’s always finding great new products! Although the hours are somewhat limited, you can always shop on Saturdays and even online… they ship anywhere! Definitely a MUST go to place if you have special dietary needs.
