This location has an employee with very poor customer service and would get no stars if that was at all possible. The place was EMPTY when I entered. I knew what I wanted, as I was replenishing a powder supplement that was near empty. But, being an impulse shopper, I would’ve most likely bought more items in addition to my powder supplement. I walked in, saw the GNC employee at the register and waited for a greeting… nothing. Okay, so I looked up the reviews for the different flavors of the supplement, thinking that I’ll try a different flavor and still waiting for a «hello, is there something I can help you with?»…nothing. I worked customer service for years in my early 20’s and acknowledging customers was the number one rule. I’m there for about 2 or 3 minutes, then look over at the guy, we look at each other. Aha! So I’m not invisible. I assumed that he felt compelled to acknowledge my existence in the empty ass store at that point. He says, «hello», and I said it back. After about 5 minutes, he painstakingly walks over to me and asks if I needed any help. NOPE, I’m good, because you clearly don’t want my business and I don’t patronize establishments that don’t want my money. With crap customer service like this, I’m surprised that this place is still open. In case the manager or GNC would like to give this stellar employee more training on customer service, the date of my visit was 12÷3÷2015, around 4:45 pm. I usually go to the GNC on 116th& Marshfield. But, I was coming from the gym and the location in Merrionette Park was closest to me. Anyway, in light of the crap service at this location, I decided to go to the GNC on 116th& Marshfield, where the employees are always welcoming and helpful, and I did get my powder supplement and a few other items. Also, I’m a Gold Card member.
