Perhaps it’s my fault — I should have learned by now. I rarely come here, but when I do, I always order the same thing. I get the number 10 but request to add peppers — which I pay extra for. 9.9 times out of 10, I get back to my office, unwrap my sandwich and find zero peppers. After today, I think I’m officially done trying to eat lunch here. When they don’t screw my(simple) order up, it’s just fine. Typical Jimmy Johns.

JJ’s is delicious! Décor: It’s a Jimmy John’s: seen one and you’ve seen ‘em all. But that isn’t bad, it’s clean, inviting, and well lit. There are a few tables, too, if you want to stay there and eat. This location is pretty cozy though, and there is a bit of confusion around where the line is and where you stand to get your sandwich — it was also strange that the end of the sandwich line(where the sandwiches are ready) is at the registers. this confused everyone. Bathroom: I didn’t use it during this visit. Staff: The cashier girl was super friendly and welcoming and the sandwich makers were FAST(as usual!). I was in and out very quickly and that is just another reason I love JJ’s. Food/Drink: The sandwiches are delicious. Seriously, they are absolutely the BEST when it comes to franchised delis. In fact, I’d say they are, on certain points, better than the local delis in town. Yes, they are THATGOOD! I always, always get The Gargantuan and this time was no different — it was glorious. Value: GREAT bang for your buck here. Wonderful value! I will always come back for more, this place is awesome.

Hungry for lunch. I jogged across the street and grabbed a sandwich from here. Service was quick and sandwich was accurate. I give it 3 because it’s not my favorite, but it’s not bad either.

Jimmy John’s has a special place in my heart. I used to eat it when I was at UI for undergrad and considered it a splurge… My favorites were Turkey Tom, Vito, and the Beach Club. I was in the area for work and was really happy to pass by a JJ. Service was as fast as efficient as the Urbana shop on Lincoln(that area is the birthplace of JJ). The Beach Club was just as I’d remembered it. Prices have gone up since I was in undergrad but I don’t mind since my wallet’s expanded as well.

Another crummy jimmy john’s! Although the bread is better at this location than the 180 N. LaSalle location, the staff is just as bad and the service is garbage. Last time I went to this one, the guy making my sandwich had his hat on sideways and talking on his cell phone! Are you kidding me??? Do yourself a favor and walk a couple blocks to the one on Washington & Wells!

Two words: glorified Subway. Wait, Subway has better bread. Bleah. Way overpriced, too.

Like everyone else, I don’t often review chain businesses. However, Jimmy John’s is noteworthy because their vegetarian sandwich is actually appropriate and delicious! What really makes it is the avacado – so many sandwich shops give you sad lettuce, cheese, tomato and mayo and call it veggie. While I admit it’s nothing compared to the delectable treats at Chicago Diner, for price, taste and convenience, it earns 5 stars all the way.

As a rule, I generally do not like chains. However, I love Jimmy John’s. All of their meats and cheeses seem to be fresh. This particular location is small. Get their early if you want a seat around lunch time. They have numerous locations in the loop to choose from. A great choice for a quick lunch and much healthier than burger fast food.

One of my favorite«franchised» sandwich shops! Since I’ve actually already reviewed the general franchise, this will just be a location specific mention. The footprint of this store is relatively small, and so walking by you might think that the line would not be processed very efficiently. Thankfully it isn’t the case. The single line splits into two registers, with each register being serviced by separate sandwich stations. As a Loop Lunch Location, the wait was not unbearable at all. You will however might want to get here early if you want a seat, because there aren’t many at all. The lighting and lighting exposure here is pretty bright if you care about those type of details.
