I like the food at Jimmy Green’s. It’s not bad. It’s also a good place to go to to watch a game on TV.

Waitress liked texting more than serving our table. They were giving us a hard time getting into the place at 7 to have dinner and were IDing everyone at the door, meanwhile the place was empty. They were nice enough to turn on the tv for us but refused to change the channel to the Stanley cup. This place is mediocre at best. Burger tasted like dog food.

This restaurant/bar is truly horrible. We went to watch the Stanley Cup playoff game with dinner and drinks on a Saturday night, and they wouldn’t even put it up on the screen! They had horrible service, and unimpressive food. I had a salmon special sandwich that was completely underwhelming with fries that were ok at best. The waitress was very inattentive to us even after we asked to stay in her section following more people showing up with our party. Everything from start to finish at this place was a disappointment. I will not be returning for three reasons: Service, Food, and Atmosphere. Don’t go here for a pleasant experience.

The staff was very hard to work with. I went with a group of 8 and they gave us a hard time with pushing tables together and splitting the check. The waitress was inattentive, texting on her phone instead of bringing us our check and messed up our order and forget to bring things like water and ketchup. I would definitely not recommend this place.

Food was underwhelming, small selection of beers on tap, rude and inattentive wait staff, and they would not let us change to TV to watch the Stanley Cup game. Will not be returning

First time here. Fantastic service, food, and drinks. Cleanest bar I’ve seen in ages. I highly recommend this place.

We consistently come to this bar to watch hawks and bulls games. We came to watch the Hawks playoff game but the entire party had to be present to get the appropriately sized table — while the bar was empty. We had a party of 10, so they moved us 3 times as more people kept coming. Hosts and staff were rude through out the entire experience. 2 of our friends came a little late(730pm) they were asked them to pay a $ 20 cover fee a person. Since no one else in our party had to pay cover, we asked if they would waive the cover for our 2 joiners. Everyone had ordered drinks and was about to order food so we didn’t see an issue. We were told to leave if we didn’t like their policy, so we left. Given how they prioritize customer service, we won’t be back.

Beautiful décor and great food. Oh, and great drinks with great service! Try the wings and hummus.

HORRIBLEEXPERIENCE!!! I was next door finishing up at the gym and told my husband to take our daughter and go ahead and get a table as she was really bored. We had never been here. I walk in the door and tell the extremely OBNOXIOUS hostess I’m with my husband and daughter who are sitting right there and she tells me I have to throw away my drink which was empty anyway so it didn’t matter but she said I also had to get rid of my TODDLERS water. That enough made me want to leave and I would had if our daughter wasn’t hungry. To top it off she says its 21 up and asks for my ID. I get that places don’t want to get in trouble but why IDMEANDNOTMYUNDERAGEDAUGHTER??? Or my husband. If you are truly 21+ it’s illegal to let ANYONE under age in, including kids with their parents. I asked the waiter if we were okay to be there, granted they had children’s cups and high chairs and she says«yes we only ID because if you look 16 sometimes they come in and try to drink» I’m completely offended by the fact that 1. Apparently a married pregnant lady looks 16 and 2. I had to throw away my toddlers water in a small cup just to enter their already shitty establishment. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy on a bad day. If you still want to brave it, watch out for the moody hostess that has a stink face, otherwise your kid might go thirsty and also steer clear of the waitress with the arm band tattoo who will have a BEERWHILEONTHEJOB and ignore you until your check comes. Maybe I’ll report them for being so «strictly» 21+ with exceptions to some who are under 21(I.e. Kids– there was about a 14yo next to us with her parents) because FYI Jimmy Greens: some parents do in fact give their underage kids liquor so go ahead and risk your license for picking and choosing who to be strict with or maybe hire a hostess that can blatantly tell 30+ yo parents over 16 yo kids. By the way, we were sitting at a booth and I’m 5 months pregnant to begin with. I’m appalled by the fact that she would still ID me and let my UNDERAGE kid in without batting a lash. Crazy.

Despite some bad service reviews, the hubby and I decided to take a chance on our first visit to Chicago. We came on a Sunday morning for brunch around 11:30am. From start to finish we had terrific service. Food and drinks were brought out in a timely fashion, the Bloody Mary’s were amazing, and our waitress checked in on us regularly. The food portions were large, and you can’t beat the prices for mimosas and Bloody Mary’s. We had a great time!

It’s really had to find a sports bar with decent food. This place is good, not amazing, but it’s consistent and good for food at a sports bar. Atmosphere: Lots of TVs. Food: I typically get Jimmy Salad with grilled chicken, instead of turkey. The Quesadillas with chicken and the Turkey Wrap are also very good. We also get the mini tacos(chicken and fish) and Guacamole & Chips. The tacos are hit or miss. The Guac and chips are average. I’m not a fan of the chicken wings. I don’t want to push it at this place, b/c overall the reviews are average. I have found a few things that I like so I don’t want to throw my experience off and get something below par. The wine selection is okay for a sports bar. They don’t have a wine that I love, but one that I can live with. The service can be spotty, but I’m typically not looking for a quick turn around when we are here. If I am, then we sit at the bar, which is huge.

Amazing Bloody Mary but the service is pretty Terrible. Last time I went there our server was MIA the entire time. I was so hungry I begged another server to take our order, she did and was mad about it(understandable). When our server finally came back she complained to us about complaining? Straight up told us her boss told her it’s her last day. Ultimately I felt terrible but I mean, all I wanted was a bloody and fries? I’d go back because it’s a decent spot and conveniently located in the south loop but you have to be prepared for mediocre/bad service.

I’ve been here quite a few times over the past three years visiting Chicago. The bar typically has good, sensibly priced beer. The reason for 3 stars(wish I could do 2 ½) instead of 4 is because of the menu selection and owner.

Great spot for Sunday Ticket jam session. Def go for the 22oz Jumbo Bloody Mary with a Chicago hotdog on top. The Italian beef was tasty with tots.

If u enjoy female servers with Irish accents and so many tvs u can hardly think this place is for you. But if u want amazing nachos, go to scout (Where they don’t charge for each iced tea refill)

After seeing an interesting menu and nice pictures of food on Unilocal,I was excited to go to Jimmy Green’s… expecting a unique bar experience and above average food. Unfortunately, I ran into slow service, wrong orders, and unspired food. Given the relatively high prices of food, I was expecting to see decently large portions and above average ingredients. Instead, the food was plated well but small for what you normally expect for a bar and not good enough quality to justify a smaller size. The best part of the meal was the drinks, revolution tea and south loop lager — which is what I probably should’ve stuck with having instead of trying the food. I went here for brunch on Sunday and the best item I had was the breakfast burrito, with a slightly crispy tortilla and a good mix of asiago and white cheddar cheeses with the ham. The Tavern Style Fish N Chips was probably the most disappointing. The cod flavor was barely noticable, the batter was more hard than fluffy, and the fish was slightly tough and a bit dry. The parmeasean on the waffle fries was so light I could barely percieve it. The Italian Beef did not have much meat or flavor on it and was very dry(the sauce being almost necessary). The onion rings that accompanied it(only a handful even with an upcharge to get it as a side) did not have any sweetness to them. The grilled steak sandwich was pretty tough, almost like beef jerky, with a very light flavor despite grilled onions, cheese, and mushrooms being added to the sandwich. The cream of brocolli soup that came with it had a very thick consistency and lacked the pleasant texture of creaminess or earthy flavor of brocolli I would expect. The Walk of Shame was an okay burger, not as flavorful or as juicy as other similar burgers I’ve had in Chicago. Once again, a bit overcooked on the meat but the tater tots were decently crispy. Overall, I like the menu and the concept of this restaurant — but the service and food execution could be improved to provide a better experience.

Let’s see… Our server needed some«support» in many ways… A small group of us came to have some beverages and a bite while watching the hockey game…2 beers and a water was confusing and some how got«messed up» by the bar. Another server jumped in and took over while our original one giggled and laughed her way through a table of all men.

Here for the Jumbo Bloody Mary! The place was nice service very attentive. The jumbo bloody was fabulous. Our food was pretty good. As a sports bar it was very good mostly NASCAR which isn’t our thing, but a nice walk to Soldiers Field. Good meet up Place before the Bears Game, close to subway line

This place has great lunch deals at $ 6.95 which includes a sandwich and waffle fries. The menu also offers good daily specials and happy hour specials. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and also seats inside next to their huge open windows that makes you feel like you’re outdoors. We were very comfortable sitting inside by the open windows. Its a great place to catch a game because they have a ton of TVs here. Service was great and they even allowed us to have separate checks when we needed to pay. Its easy to get here because its close to the Harrison stop. We’ll be back!!!

Stopped in here for lunch before the gym cause I thought it was a salad bar. Ended up being just a bar with normal bar food. My burger was below average and my onion rings came out raw with batter still inside so had to send then back. I feel like some other stuff on the menu would be good and the inside actually looks pretty cool… Bet It’s a fun place to watch any game. Need to stop by again maybe they were just having an off day. My friend said the tacos were okay.
