I love their Vegetable Bomb sandwich, and I love that they use natural ingredients. Their stuff always tastes on point. My only complaints would be that their not open a lot of the time, and that the price is pretty steep for what you get. However, the sandwiches are so good that I will come back anyway.

I like the concept at Hannah’s. Imagine a high end, mostly organic version of any local sandwich/sub shop. Sandwiches are made to order and prepared in front of you. Have to respect a place that uses ingredients liked serrano ham, manchego cheese, etc. My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Sunday looking for a quick bite to eat. Since they serve breakfast all day(as well as their lunch menu), I opted for The Works-a breakfast sandwich replete with egg, bacon, vegetables, and white cheddar on a pretzel bun. I thought it was good but not great as it was rather plain tasting. Perhaps some sort of spread would have perked up the flavor. But it was fast, well prepared, and did the trick so can’t complain. Definitely not a must try but if you are nearby one and hungry, I would much prefer coming here than other national chain sandwich shops.

I’ve also had their hot teas which is a really nice selection everything is very high quality.

Yes, yes, yes! I am not one for sandwiches but this place captured me. My friend and I ordered the portabella + goat cheese and the apple brie. They cut them in half and we did a little switch-a-roo so we could try them both. I enjoyed getting to see my sandwich made in front of me. The goad cheese was smeared on evenly and generously, making each bite nice and creamy. The pretzel bread is definitely the way to go! Every sandwich comes with either chips or almonds… Love that you can sub your chips for some good protein! In addition to the yummy sandwiches with fresh ingredients, Hannah’s Bretzel has a lot of fun snack options and treats to go along with your meal. Great atmosphere and friendly service… I’d totally hit this place again!

I was the only one in line when I ordered. I had the turkey and cheddar wecken which was very good, I like the apples and the sauce. I liked the layout of the restaurant as well, very comfortable to eat it. The staff seemed nice at first while ordering until the guy who made my sandwich started criticizing me because I was wearing a scarf and coat. The guy that walked in after me was also wearing a coat. The guy making our sandwiches kept going on and asking his coworkers«why are these peoples wearing coats it’s not that cold outside?». He was really loud about it. I found it very rude of him to stand there and talk about the costumers in front of their faces.

Honestly ok. In terms of food, they used to be better but lately the salmon has been becoming less and looks a little pasty. Needless to say, I don’t buy Salmon & Cream Cheese from here anymore. The other sandwiches are always tasty but inconsistency is a huge problem… every time I get a sandwich from someone else it looks and tastes different. The service is ok. This Hannah’s used to annoy me as the staff was rude, couldn’t handle questions and I never saw a smile at this place. It seems that all those ass holes let the«uberness» of their sandwiches go to their head. The staff lately seems nicer, but I always see fresh faces… talk about turnover. The store itself takes on a very modern look, almost too modern. I would at least suggest every person try this place out and judge for yourself.

Surprised the real über hasn’t sued them for using their name on all of their walls, and sandwich bags yet. Like most the other reviews I had high hopes for this place. Pretzel sandwiches? Sounds bomb. The place was busy for a Monday at 12:30 but there were seats available. I got the farm raised chicken breast on a baguette. The bread reminds me of the torpedos from Quiznos, just a little too small to call lunch. For $ 9.75 they put a couple slices of meat, mozzarella, green pesto sauce, arugala and… well thats it. They even give a .1 oz bag of chips and even a small glass of water(no soda fountain? Cmon bro it’s 2015. I get soda isn’t natural but as Kanye says — it gets the people going). Sandwich was okay. Needed like 2 or 3 of those to get full. My girlfriend got the turkey breast and it came with apples on top which was kind of cool but kind of bad. I’m not saying it tasted bad, but turkey sandwiches don’t need apples on them. Overall would I go back? Probably not. There are so many sandwich places, and this or ORGANIC uprising really makes me shake my head. I’ve grown up with preservatives my entire life and lived to be okay. As much as I like the environment and hippie loving tree huggers, I think I’ll stick to my regular deli’s and sandwich shops for now.

Very high quality food. I like that they post the calories on the board. I like even more that I don’t believe them but I can pretend I do. I had a cup of califlower soup the other day that was supposed to be less than 200 calories. I have never tasted such delicious salty buttery goodness.(I choice to believe it was 200 calories– wink, wink). For breakfast, I love the goat cheese with truffle oil and tomatoes.(Too bad it is only served at breakfast). The coffee is not my favorite, so although I have tried a number of times, I finally gave up and get my java fix elsewhere. For lunch, I think the smaller size sandwiches are very filling and the size is guilt free.

Man, I had giant hopes for this place. Because eating anything off of bread-shaped pretzel stuff sounds amazing. It was super slow when my SO and I showed up, which I wasn’t sure if that was good fortune or just an unfortunate warning. There’s an amazing selection of overpriced-fair-trade-organic-snoot chocolates. It literally covers the walls. I was so sure I was going to marry this place. My SO and I both ordered veg options, and maybe that’s not this place’s forté because the flavors were pretty muted which was a total bummer. I got the chips as a side and they were a little chewy; granted, it was the end of the day. My SO got the almonds and those had the most flavor of the whole meal. No hate though. I admire the mission, but I’d sooner scarf the baguette plain than attempt a sandwich option again.

A week after having lunch here, I’m still thinking about my sandwich and wishing this local chain would expand beyond Chicago. First, there’s the main attraction, the pretzel bread. You’ve possibly had a variation of this elsewhere, like at Trader Joe’s, but Hannah’s bread is so soft and perfect that it puts that to shame. There’s also the abundance of vegetarian options. I went for the Angry Tofu, which was excellent, but there are several other choices if you don’t want meat. I paired the small sandwich with barley soup, though I thought the soup was a little bland. Finally, there’s the chocolate. Not just a little chocolate, but an entire wall of fancy chocolate bars, ranging from more commonly available brands(like Ritter Sport or Chocolove) to imported chocolates I’d never seen before. I went for only a small piece, one of the little Belgian chocolates by the register, though it was so good that I wish I’d gotten more.

Hannah’s Bretzel is like a Panera — but if Panera was good, clean and used really fresh ingredients. I guess in retrospect, it’s not really like a Panera at all, because Paneras are pretty gross. Anyway, the interior is gorgeous — super high ceilings, designer-y furniture and bold colors. Most ingredients are organic and everything seemed to be high quality. That comes at a price, of course — about $ 10 for a sandwich which includes a side. Speaking of sandwiches, there are about 12 – 15 choices with 4 – 5 vegetarian options. Some are basic, some are really creative. I opted for the chicken and avocado which netted me freshly sliced chicken(I watched the guy slice it), fresh avocado(ditto), pesto, arugula and fresh mozzarella on a baguette. It’s pretty much a list of my favorite things so I absolutely loved it. Sandwiches come with a choice of almonds, soy nuts or chips. I opted for the chips and initially thought they were nothing special but their house seasoning made me a fan. Despite the marketing on the wall that claims Hannah’s sandwich makers aren’t the«usual bored fast food employees» I did think the staff looked pretty bored. They weren’t unfriendly, just indifferent. I didn’t care because the food was great. I also love the clearly posted calorie counts too. I’ll be back for sure.

Sandwiches is what this place is about. They are a über restaurant meaning all organic. I am gluten intolerant and was looking forward to a good GF sandwich I was quite disappointed… SERVICE: The lady who fixed our sandwiches was very nice, knowledgable and offered to change her gloves because of the allergy. FOOD: My sandwich was less than satisfactory. The bread was hard and they are not able to toast sandwiches. I have had much better gluten-free bread. The entire sandwich was bland. Also, I ordered a side of chips. They were more tasty but a very small amount(maybe five in my bag). My mother was more satisfied with her meal than I but was not overly pleased.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had was the Parma and Evoo on a bretzel. I cannot stop thinking about it. In its simplicity it fulfilled everything I’ve ever wanted in a sandwich. Highly recommend. I tried to recreate but it’s impossible. This place is tucked in an office building and feels very«IKEA» and I love it. An entire wall of import chocolates. Plus house made chips are so good. Sadly I don’t live in Chicago or this would be a weekly stop for me.

PSA: Yes, they’re a little pricey for the size of the sandwich(roughly $ 10), but the moment I start eating it I forget any qualms about how much I paid for it. and I find myself eating there again and again, thinking about it. Hannah’s has such light flavors, it’s not a sandwich that leaves you feeling heavy after. Perfect for lunch during the work day so you don’t fall asleep at your desk in a food coma. Ingredients are very fresh, pretzel bread baguette saves lives, and the freshly shaven meat is always a plus! I recommend the Sergio’s Special, or asking them to put the mango chutney on any sandwich you get. It is phenomenal. They have vegetarian options(apple brie sandwich is killer). Their sandwiches come with a side of either almonds, fresh salt and pepper chips, or soy beans. Their chips are delicious so I would recommend those. They also deliver!

Wasn’t expecting to love this place so much, but it really is that good. Fresh, simple ingredients. The pretzel bread is so unique! The serrano ham was perfect. Lots of unique sandwich options — all healthy and delicious! Reasonably priced, quick, very friendly servers. They also had a nice selection of high quality European chocolates. Overall, fantastic lunch spot.

Absolutely loved it here. They were on the way to work every day while I was in town and love the idea of breakfast pretzels. Honestly could have just had it with cheese like at a ball game by how good the bread was. instead I got a bacon and egg breakfast pretzel and it’s awesome watching them make the egg stack right in front of you. It’s an art the way they form it into a perfect circle. Obviously it tasted great, which is why I kept coming back!

Local store making it big… well locally at least. Some may think that fast food has to be of poor quality or full of GMO’s to keep it cheap but this is not true. Hannah’s dispels that myth with organic, green and food full of nutrition you rarely get in a fast lunch time meal. Come here for an amazing healthy sandwich, and chocolate fix, letting you feel good about your choice. Sure the helpings may not be as huge as the next guy, let me tell you though the quality trumps the quantity here all day long.

I was very impressed. I actually didn’t know what this place was. I walked by it a couple times. I went downtown to meet my sister for lunch on a Monday afternoon and she picked this place. When you walk it, it is fresh and airy, full of the European style dining furniture. WETZEL!!! I got a Hannah Club on a Wetzel, which is the smaller pretzel bread. You can definitely tell these sandwich are made with fresh ingredients. It’s a build your own sandwich type of place, which I like. The chips were my favorite part of the meal. They were your homemade seasoning chips… delicious! Also, I was hesitant about getting a cookie, because usually sandwich places don’t specialize in cookies, they are more of an afterthought. I had this organic or whatever chocolate chip cookie, well worth the extra buy. It was very very good! I will definitely come to this place again.
