This laundromat would be okay if you didn’t have any choice or if it was the closest to you. Otherwise I would keep going to another laundromat. The fact that there’s free dry here doesnt help. The washers are hit and miss, most of them have notes attached that tell you that this or that is wrong with them. They are relatively cheap though, but considering the many problems they have it should be lower. The main problem is when you get to the dryers, one whole side doesn’t work at all and the other side have many that are out of order. And the ones that work produce very little heat. What good is free dry if you still spend the majority of your day washing or more so drying clothes?

No stars for this dump. Me & my fiancé came for a quick wash & although I kno a pretty girl will get hit on regardless by men but the employee refused to stop flirting with my fiancé every time I walked away. Besides that the employee walked around screaming and yelling about random things with multiple panhandlers trying to sell cd’s, movies, car washes, anything! People standing outside of the door when your trying to bring clothes in or out. I would never return here, nor would I recommend this place to anyone ! I’d rather wash my clothes in the tub. In that order .!

I was here today at like 8:30 am, there were two other people so the place was wide open, very clean and free of clutter. the have a nice variety of machines the largest being $ 7.50 and this thing holds a lot of clothes, the smallest machine was $ 3.00 I think and you can dry for free.(one lady did have like some roaches coming out of her clothes which was pretty gross, and I saw a mouse running back and fourth in the light fixtures equally gross) the have vending machines and a few flat screens, the remote controls are on the folding table so I was able to watch what I wanted. they give free soap on wednesdays and free popcorn on thursday, they also say they have pick up and drop off service and there is a tailor. the bathroom was clean they had a toilet and urinal but no soap and no hand dryer. came here be cause the spin cycle i usually go to is closed for remodeling, nice 24 hour spot did not see a lot of crazies considering the area which was a relief but the roach lady and trapped mouse kinda messed it up for me

Since moving to the neighborhood, I have had two options to wash my clothes(the laundry mat on 69th and Stony Island and the other located at this location. First of all, this area is kind of rough but there is usually always a guard present and security cameras are throughout the facility. It costs $ 3.00(as of 6÷15÷2011) to wash clothes in the smaller laundry machines and $ 4.75 in the larger capacity washers. The dryers are free to use for the customers. Unfortunately just because they are free, does not mean that they will work. In one incident, I was getting ready to wash my clothes and I heard a big boom. It was not a firecracker… but the dryer. It did not take me long to leave this place.

I came here to wash my clothes a couple times after my washing machine broke down at home. This is not exactly a place you would want to come to since the majority of the customers are hoodrats and thugs. You have to deal with ignorant people talking loudly on their cell phones and screaming at their kids while using more expletives than an episode of Jerry Springer. You spend roughly two hours doing your laundry since they charge for the wash and you can dry for free, but they do it in 15 minute incriments so that people arent tying up the dryers. The only advantage is that they’re open 24 hours for some who have a dire need to do their laundry at 1−2am, but you will have to have a car because giving the way the neighborhood is you’re not wanting to haul several bags of laundry on the bus or in a cab. The place could be better kept meaning they’re not leaving the doors open during the summer to where the place is full of flies and to have appropriate bug zappers in the place. Plus the staff should be dressed as professionals not ghetto wearing throw back jerseys and sagging pants with do-rags. I’ve seen better than this and they should allow you to dry your clothes for at least twenty minutes since this place isnt always full and packed. The other issue is the peddlers that run through the place trying to sell you things like socks, face towels, barrettes, and other items you could get from Target or Wal-Mart. Not to mention the vagrants trying to solicit money and coming through the place which displays inadequate security to eject non-paying customers from the establishment to keep the place secure and safe for customers who come to do their laundry. It only became a last resort because a different location closed early since they did away with their 24 hour feature to the laundromat. If you live on the south side don’t bother going here if you’re not wanting to deal with loud and foul mouthed hoodrats yelling at the kids and tying up the machines doing enough laundry for the US Army.
