Dear toasted asiago bagel with sun-dried tomato schmear, I could eat you every day for the rest of my life. I normally scarf you down in record speed. Pair it up with a medium sized hot coffee, mMMMM you’re the perfect start to my Saturday afternoon! So, thank you! Your secret admirer xoxo P. S. the staff that serves you are nice and friendly. Your home, however, lacks the cozy factor, but i’m not superficial, so all good.

I personally give the bagels and smear 4 stars I love their bagels I go in the morning before work and they are always fresh it’s just this location is not as welcoming and I usually get the spinach florentine bagel with smoked salmon smear mmmmmm so good but some days I may get a nice thick smear on others barely enough to cover my bagel that makes me sad but I would really like the consistency of enough smear I know cream cheese isn’t that healthy but give the people what they want!

The service took 30 mins to order 4 simple bagels. No idea how to use the registers or take orders. The order was also incorrect. The bagels are not bad but if there any line your are screwed.

WOW. went to this place for lunch because i LOVE einsteins lox and bagels. Well i HATE this location. The people who were working were some of the rudest people I’ve ever seen working in a restaurant. First we are standing there waiting a couple of minutes for someone to come up to the front, and then the girl working goes«what do you want.» are you serious? and to top it off they did a horrible job of making the lox and bagel skimping out on everything, especially when there is a total of 2 capers on the bagel. The management needs to get rid of these employees and hire some new ones who actually want a job and are friendly. I will never step foot in this location again, and am actually thinking about calling their corporate office to inform them on the people they have employed at this location.

I really enjoy my Tasty Turkey on a Challah roll at Einstein’s, so I was very excited to see a new location up near my job. Since they are new, I have cut them a break, but it just seems to me that there is no order at this location. Sometimes my order takes forever, sometimes its quick. And one time they told me I had to order my Tasty Turkey on the Asiago Cheese as advertised. I was very upset, because I am very particular about my Challah roll. Breakfast has fared better, I do enjoy their thin bagel sandwhiches, but a couple times they have been out of certain items.

I typically frequent the Dearborn/Kinzie location which is stellar, but decided to drop by this location on a busy Mother’s Day morning just to grab something hot and quick since my favorite brunch places were likely crammed with families celebrating the holiday. There were only two other customers and they were seated already… so I was able to walk in, was greeted quickly and had my order in a few minutes. I’m not sure why the other reviews of this location aren’t as good, but the staff was courteous and efficient. Maybe they’ve made some changes?

I’ve been here 3 times and all 3 times i’ve had issues. The first two have been minor, they got my order wrong(egg bagel sandwich with certain toppings). The third time I went there was this morning — I had paper in my egg bagel sandwich. Yep, paper. And no, i did not order paper on my bagel. It’s like they use sliced cheese separated with paper and they decided not to pull off all the paper from the cheese. I could almost understand if there was a whole slice of paper — perhaps they were moving fast and didn’t notice. But the bagel had a 1⁄3 of slice of paper in it. wha? They had to put some effort into pulling off 2⁄3 of the paper, and then what, they give up? «thats good enough, i’ll put it on the bagel now». I must confess the paper did not stop me from eating the rest of my bagel, I love bagels. That’s why they get 2 stars instead of 1. But this is the last time i go here.

Einstein Bros in general gets 5 stars, but this particular location only gets 3 stars due to slow service. The store seems to be understaffed. I don’t think people want to wait in line for 15 minutes for a bagel that is supposed to be toasted, but isn’t because they messed up the order again.

This location is in my building, and it’s the poorest run Einstein Bros EVER. At first I thought they were just working out the kinks, but it’s been a couple of months, and it’s actually getting worse! There’s just no reason why getting a bagel should take a full 15 minutes AFTERCHECKOUT. Staff is slow and at times unpleasant. Going a block west to Dunkin’ is without a doubt the better call.

Old Timers probably had better food. $ 2.79 for a crappy bagel with cream cheese??? Ugh. Oh, and no salt bagels… really? I’m sure they have their fans, but I am done with these folks.

This is a new venue that replaced the Old Timer’s Restaurant. Einstien has great coffee and a much better selection of breakfast treats than the typical venues on the block. My favorite is a toasted cranberry bagel with jalapeño salsa cream cheese. Sounds weird, but it’s so awesome. Five stars for great service and food for the money.
