Have been occasionally going here ever since they opened and can without a doubt say they still have not mastered the morning & lunch rush! Only one cash register is in use, the line is super long and it takes forever! I walked out so many times when I had no time to wait. I’ve witnessed so many others do the same. The people preparing the bagels are nice. Having one cash register opened is the problem!

It’s an Einstein’s Bagel location; it does the trick when I’m in need of bagels were clients, or something quick to grab for breakfast like a yogurt parfait. That’s pretty much it, though! Service was, dare I say, bad? I went in at about 130, and it was after the lunch rush; I was actually the only person there. I ordered a Baker’s dozen to go but I wanted them in separate bags since two clients at two different locations. Basically I said toss one of each flavored bagel in each bag and I’d be on my merry way. I do not think it was a huge request, but it was clear that I was inconveniencing them. There were a lot of eye rolls I want an actual pretty audible sigh when I asked for a couple jellies. Since I already paid the manager came up front to say they need to charge for jelly, but she said it was a pain to ring up a single jelly. That, and in one bag I have four pumpernickel; apparently late in the day they needed to get rid that flavor… Ah, whatever. Maybe they were having a bad day. Either way, they got me what I needed but can’t give much higher than a two star rating.

Living across the street one would be happy to have an Einstein so close. But after many visits it’s clear neither the unit operator nor Einstein gives a damn. This is a leadership problem as for the most part the employees are untrained, rude and racist. It’s sad. Avoid this unit.

Poor execution on the bagel prep. Way too much cream cheese. Nova lox bagel not toasted upon request and onions sliced vs chopped. Asked for dine in and they gave me to go.

I went to get breakfast this morning. Ordered 2 muffins and they want to charge me 60 cents for butter!!! I couldn’t believe a place charges you for butter! Especially a bagel shop! Unhappy customer! Will definitely not be back.

This is a poorly run Einstein Bagels. The store is regularly undermanned with only a few people trying to handle way too many tasks. Service is slow and poor. 50% of the time I go, they screw up my order in some way or another. Just an awful experience. Would not recommend

This is probably the worst excuse for a restaurant I have witnessed in years. I was in there once and after more than 5 minutes and half a dozen people lining up behind me, no one even came up to take my order. Eventually someone realized we were all standing there at 8:30, middle of rush hour. I have had more bad experiences here than mediocre ones, so typically I try to go elsewhere. It’s truly a miracle and an insult that this place stays in business. No one here seems to understand remotely what the meaning of customer service is.

15 minutes to get a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese? No chocolate milk(sorry I asked, the cashier seemed very bothered he had to double-check) and no cup sleeves(sorry I asked for a second cup instead, someone seemed very bothered again)? But three people running around behind the counter?(no idea what they were actually all doing but certainly not preparing my bagel nor the other customers’ stuff — it wasn’t busy at all!). At least the bagel was tasty again.

I’ve gone here a few times since I live right across from it and every time it disappoints me. It takes forever to get anything you order. If you actually wait, your order will more than likely be wrong. This location is improperly managed, and the employees are ill tempered.

You can’t expect too much from this place. I’ve been there on several occasions and each time I go the tables seems to be not cleaned, the beverage area is usually disheveled. While the wait staff is somewhat friendly, they tend to be on the unprofessional side, yelling and talking loudly to each other. I also find that the bagels that I order come out pretty sloppily. That is, the ingredients seemed to be just thrown together on the bagel so I’m having to rearrange the food in order to get it in my mouth. The one good thing about this place is that each time I’ve gone I’ve been able to get a seat. There are a lot of students who frequent the place and they tend to go there and grab something to eat instead of table hogging, if you know what I mean.

After experiencing the insanity of Michigan Avenue the day after Christmas, I needed to run as far away from that zoo as possible! Luckily this Einstein’s is less than one block away, off Michigan and on the way to the red line! In the middle of the afternoon on the day after Christmas, there were only two other people in the store. There was no line and we walked right up to the register to place our order. Our order should have been simple — two nuva lox(straight from the menu, no changes) and two bottles of water. I think the server was at worst incompetent and at best, a lazy employee. He asked our order no less than 4 times and for a reason not explained, had someone else come and count all the cash in the register before completing our order. Granted, I was getting antsy and ready to be done with the day but dude, get your act together!

I’m here now– 45 min before closing on a Sunday. TOTALLY unprofessional staff. Yelling at each other, yelling about the equipment,(broken toaster) and their friends are hanging around, gossiping. Meanwhile, I got 2 cups since they were out of sleeves for my coffee, and encountered fruit flies hanging around the coffee. The garbage was full, tables dirty. The employee with the orange hair was actually sitting at a table with her friends by the time I left. Laughing loud, messing around– the loudest people in here are them. Forget about the people trying to study. I don’t know who the franchisee of this place is, but they aren’t minding the store. I won’t be back.(Oh, and my bagel of course wasn’t toasted– broken)

Went there for a nice start of the day. Ordered a sesame seed bagel with plain cream cheese and a coffee. Bagel turned out to be fresh and good. However, there was no coffee. Only decaf and a vanilla Flavor. I had to ask them to brew more. Even then it took several minutes for the staff to get a pot brewing. I would have rated this place a 4 but how does a coffee shop not have coffee available. And a disorganized staff. Overall a bad experience and likely will not be back.

BAGELMEFEE Sometimes it is just good to go back to the basics to start your day. The cupcakes, doughnuts and cronuts are all too much, so it was nice to just have an old fashioned bagel and a coffee to start my day. Einstein Bros can accommodate your next meeting or pow wow by providing food and drink. For $ 15.99 you will get a giant 96oz coffee container that comes with cups, covers, stirs, not enough sugar and cream. So everyone can caffeinate and start there day. They also have a box of 13 bagels with a choice of two smears for $ 14.99. So you get two boxes of food & drink for around $ 31 and that is not a bad deal. Now I must recommend you pick it up yourself because the delivery is going to cost you $ 10. That seems a little high for delivery of bagels just down the street. In fact, are you hiring a bagel boy because I’ll deliver bagels all day long, as long as I get the $ 10. I had a sesame seed bagel which was really good. I also decided to try the veggie cream cheese on my bagel and I really liked it. The plastic container said, «Darn Good» and it wasn’t lying. It was darn good. Now the only thing that would have been perfect was a toaster. I like my bagels with a little crunch. How much is it to deliver a toaster? Another $ 10? So it was a perfect way to start my day. A coffee and a bagel it’s just nice to go back to the basics. The $ 10 delivery fee is something I could have passed on though.

This place is gross. Bagels are not good and don’t taste homemade. Service is slow and rude.

I am not sure how long this place has been around but I just found it a few days ago. I have been a gold coast person since 2010… But as my last girlfriend told me, «hey this is not about you«OK so I digress. It is not that loud. From my experience they dont play loud music whilst you ingest bagels and cream cheese or whatever you are eating. The only thing that is better than world peace or having sex with a celebrity is eating fresh pastries. How fresh? the pastries are made onsite. As you can see this causes me unrequisite joy that I barely know what to do with myself. Should you need to find a bagel, lox and cream cheese for under $ 9.50 then this would be your place-WORD TOTHEWISE. Now only if it came with a breath dispenser since lox breath is not sexy when you breathe on people. Breath mints, anyone ? I am a fan of the many coffee flavors. A few days ago I mixed their dark roast with banana walnut vanilla flavored coffee. Check back every few days to see what the flavored coffee of the day is… or you can call them and ask what it is :)

This bagel shop was a block away from our hotel. A good place to grab breakfast, whether to eat in or you’re on the go. I ordered the Nova Smoked Salmon on the Asiago bagel(delicious). It comes with capers, a tomato slice, red onion slices and cream cheese. The onions could have been a bit thinner, and for the price you pay, they could probably afford to give you more than 1 piece of smoked salmon per side, but overall it was delicious nonetheless. Free wifi was a plus.

Definitely a constant with the lox quality — not the best but not the worst either — the staff in the mornings is incredibly nice — just don’t care for it when people want their stuff double toasted and I walk out of there smelling like burnt toast! Oh well

Einstein’s has great fresh bagels daily and offer not only breakfast, but also lunch specials. Today had the plain bagel with the turkey and cranberry sauce w/cream cheese. It was very sweet tangy duo. I am a die hard coffee type; love DD, then Stars, but Einstein’s tops them both when it comes to carmel and choco types of coffees… feel me on this one, I really drank a lot of coffee in my life time. Also, they offer free Wi-Fi, roomy seating, and this particular one is directly across from my building( ). So go get yourself some Einstein Bros Bagels and Coffee. I give it the Unilocal Seal of Approval for a breakfast and lunch quick in/out spot. Montez G.

Came into the store looking to order some quick lunch. I walked up to the what would normally be a order window and was unpleasantly told to step away from the counter and go to the ordering corner. Ok but in the corner I can’t see menu. They told me it is on the side of the wall too. Ok but on the side of the wall there are no pictures. I like pictures. Gosh I am a friendly, bubbly person and just don’t understand why you have to treat me like that. So directly from my receipt order #2989947 take out 2 pumpkin spice lattes(one with whip cream and one without whip cream) 2 spinach Florentine toast(one with cream cheese one without) spinach Florentine toast charcoal BURNT to hell. How does that even make into a take out bag!!! The guy who handed us our lattes was so unfriendly when we asked him which one is the one with whip cream that I felt embarrassed that I had brought my friend there.
