In my pervious review I praised this restaurant. The Mexican Asian fusion was delicious. It was unlike anything I have ever tasted. Recently went it in to grab some more grub and some delicious pineapple lemonade and was disappointed. The price of all items increased but the taste and quality of the food decreased immensely. My wife ordered Mandarin Chicken and it was uninspiring. My sweet and sour chicken burrito was bland and I regretted the choice. Sadly the pineapple lemonade did not save the meal either. The wantons were the best part I just wish they were bigger and had more filling.

Went here with my coworkers and we were all very disappointed. The reviews are nuts and it does not add up. The food took forever It was ridiculously expensive for the amount of food we got The chicken wings were disgusting, it looked worst than McDonald’s chicken — I don’t see why they have a sign claiming their Thai chicken wings have an award. Nothing impressed me, probably wouldn’t return unless I was starving and in the mood to spend lots of money on cold food made with little effort to impress customers. Service wasn’t all that either.

Whoa! We had a layover at the Midway Airport and the Über here was worth every cent! We had the steak nachos… So good! My husband got the steak burrito fusion with sweet n sour sauce that was so stinking good I’ll have dreams about it! I tried one steak and one Teriyaki chicken taco and I never wanted them to end. If you are in the area, you have to check it out!

Okay, here is the deal… this place is a whole in the wall. A real dump. However, it is clean inside. The food is amazing. Everything is full of flavor. The Mexican food has a hint of Asian influence and vice-versa. If you went to a haute cuisine restaurant and were served this food, you would gladly pay ten times the price they charge.

AMAZING– A Diamond Amongst A Multitude Of Sub Par Eating Establishments In The Clearing, Stickney And Garfield Ridge Area. Do Not Pass The Chance To Eat Here, You Will Not Be Disappointed. Order The Fried WanTon –Its, Crisp, Light Breading Encases A Mixture Of Crab And Peppers And It’s Complimented By A Sweet Chili Glaze Sauce. Then Get The Fusion Burrito. I Had The Steak Seasoned With Teriyaki Sauce. You Know Good Food When You Can Taste The Multiple Ingredients That Come Together In Fusion. Every Bite Beat The Last Especially If You Done The In House Salsa Sauce. This Dish Does Not Disappoint. Steak, Rice With A Semi Spicy Mayonnaise Sauce.Awesome. Then Try A Best Seller Here, The Korean Barbecue Taco-Steak. Its Seasoned With Barbecue And Complimented With Cheese & Topped With Siracha Sauce. DELICIOUS!!! Very Clean, Decent Seating For Quick Dine In Experience And Omar & Isaac Will Be Prompt As Well As Professional With Your Order. I’ll Definitely Be Back

The owner is offended that I didn’t like his food. To bad so sad food is subjective and I’m not the only one who thinks your business is a candy factory instead of a culinary experience. Fact, most people from out of town talk about how gross and over priced your food really is… Like I said I’m a south side native with a travel companion pass because my spouse works for the airlines and avid businesses traveler. As a matter if fact I flew 155 times last year. My expense account has allowed me to try all kinds off food all over the U.S. I’m not rich just have a road warrior job that allows me those spoils. No matter how you spin it your food is gross to me and many other people. When your client base is primary Mexican and the only Chinese food they ever had comes from their local«Chop Suey» grease spoon your food taste good. Relax… Your not the only Chef that has ever been criticized. There is entire TV shows, magazines and web sites were food is criticized. Nothing personal, you think your food is awesome and I think it’s garbage let’s just agree to disagree. You are nowhere near 5 starts it’s your location and fusion that makes you popular. Your food is gimmick there is no culinary talent attached to your dishes. It’s nothing personal I just don’t agree that your food is any good and so do many more people. I hope there is never a shortage of teriyaki sauce because you will be in big trouble.

Love this small place, it is cheap and yummy! Had the avocado rolls which I could have ordered so many more because it is that good. Had the chipotle chicken taco which was so tasty and the korean bbq beef taco which was also tasty, yet spicy for all you spicy lovers.

I popped in here today for a late lunch. I’m not very familiar with the area, so I relied on the positive Unilocal reviews to help me find Dos Ricco’s. It is one of those hole-in-wall type places, as I drove past it and had to park in the McDonald’s parking lot across the street(their parking lot only has enough spaces for 5 – 6 cars. I was very pleased with how nice and helpful the employees were. I ordered my meal to go and had to wait only a few minutes. I had the Spicy Hawaiian Pork Burrito, Dumplings and a special mixed fruit lemonade(Mangonada). All were fantastic! I love how they mix together two of my favorite cuisines perfectly! Great concept and executed phenomenally!

First time trying this place and it definitely lived up to expectations. I had the Japanese lemonade after having a sample and it was amazing! Highly recommend trying it. For the appetizer we tried the avocado rolls which were unique and tasty and the steak salad which was surprisingly filling. The best part about the place is how nice the owner was. After we ate he came out to ask how the food was and offered us dessert. Definitely will be coming back

The service at Dos Ricco’s was friendly and thoughtful, and the fusion inspired menu is fun. This place boasts Mexican and Thai food on their signage. But, I’m pretty sure the Korean bbq steak tacos were inspired by Korean food. Nevertheless, there are many good things to try. My friends and I ordered the chicken wings(sticky, sweet with some heat), avocado egg rolls(could have used more avocados than lettuce) with a spicy sriracha aioli, and an oversized crab rangoon(overflows with melty cream cheese, lobster and crab meat goodness) to share. Then we each dove into our entrees. The tempura shrimp taco was good but could have used actual tempura batter to make it less heavy. The Korean bbq steak in the taco could have been marinated with the sauce before grilling instead of tossing the meat in the sauce after it was cooked which made the sauce taste like an afterthought. The pickled onions on the taco were a nice touch though. My friends raved about the Korean bbq steak burrito bowls(ask for sauce on the side or no sauce at all if you don’t know if you can take the heat), and the orange chicken rice bowl. The horchata was good. A couple of us upgraded to add white chocolate to the drink. While tasty, I’m not sure how much it added to the overall drink … let alone calories, but I digress. The dining room is small, with a few café style rounds. Al fresco dining is available. While there, the restaurant was consistently busy which is great. On my next trip, I may consider ordering the pad Thai burrito bowl. It looked delicious!

I read a few reviews prior to coming here that said this place was overrated — and I agree with them. This place is completely overrated. First of all, the price isn’t «$» as listed by its name. Each dish is roughly around $ 10+ and realistically, for fried rice or a burrito, $ 10 is a lot. Secondly, the wait time was ridiculous. It’s a fast-food joint and no one was waiting for their order. All the same, it took about 30 minutes for us to get our four dishes. We had to sit and watch our burrito sit on a counter for about 10 minutes for no particular reason. If it takes about 30 minutes to cook fried rice, something is wrong. Third, the quality of the food is poor. Everything(by that I mean the«famous» shrimp fried rice and the jalapeño pad thai) were soaked in teriyaki sauce. Our fried rice tasted like teriyaki soup with rice in it because it was that saturated. All the food looked bright and colorful, but the actual taste was totally compromised with standard sauce. The chicken in our pad thai(as another reviewer had commented) was stiff and dry. The burrito tasted standard. The Korean BBQ tacos were okay but not as mindblowing as everyone said. While people mentioned the outstanding service, I didn’t really experience any of it. The only time they were actually proactive about their service was when we were on our way out and they asked if we could review them on Unilocal.Multiple times during our meal, we asked them for knives. The woman would refer us to the cabinet behind us, but there weren’t any knives in them! We used forks to cut up our foods out of exacerbation. This place is no where near 5 stars and I would not recommend driving out just to eat here. It’s mediocre at its best.

This place was an absolutely fabulous find near Chicago Midway airport. I was staying at the Holiday Inn near the airport and I thought my only options for food would be hotel bars. I consulted my trusty Unilocal app and was elated to find Dos Ricco’s was an easy walk across the street. If you blink, you may miss this place. Look for the auto body shop; it’s right next door. You won’t want to eat inside because it’s really small and hot, so be prepared to make a take out order. I ordered a Korean barbeque taco and the chicken pad thai. I was not expecting the portions to be so huge! The pad thai was two meals worth for me and it was filled with huge chicken chunks and tasty cilantro. The Korean barbeque taco was juicy steak, bbq sauce, onions and cilantro. Everything melded nicely and the onions were a great contrast to the sweet bbq sauce. If you have the misfortune of having to stay in one of the hotels next to Midway airport, do yourself a favor and make lemons into lemonade(Pineapple lemonade in Ricco’s case!) and walk on over to Ricco’s!

I heard so many good things about this place, and found a groupon, so I was definitely in to come here. To be honest though, I just wasn’t blown away. I’d give it 3.5 stars if I could. The place is tiny and hot inside, with only one picnic table outside along Cicero Ave. I was OK with dealing with this, but you have been warned! Food– after reading reviews, I ordered avocado egg rolls, chicken jalapeño pad thai, and the pineapple lemonade. The egg rolls were good– decent(medium) size, loaded with avocado and lettuce, but without the spicy aioli(which was amahzing!), they were pretty bland. Cost was around $ 5.50. If you are against mayo-type dressings, you may want to skip this. The pad thai was good, but offered ZERO spice. I found pieces of jalapeño in mine, but all seeds were removed so it was nothing more than pad thai with a pepper in it. I rated it a 0.5÷10 on the heat scale. I can get pad thai that is even better a lot closer to home. The pineapple lemonade was fantastic though. I thought it was a perfect balance of lemon and pineapple flavors; no flavor won. I would definitely want that again! My guy got the Asian wings and steak pad thai. He said the meat was not really like steak, more of a beef cut. He enjoyed his wings. The total for both of us was about $ 27 before using the groupon. I enjoyed what I ate, but again, it’s a little far for just good.

Seriously, some of the best food I have ever eaten in my entire life!!! If you are in the area, this is a must! It is a small restaurant, we missed it the first time and had to go around the block. There are only a few parking spots here and most patrons seem to order take out. They do have a few tables inside and outside to dine at. But whether you dine in or take out, you need to try Dos Ricco’s!!! The waitstaff are very friendly and will talk through the menu with you. This was very helpful as we wanted to order one of everything ;) We ended up ordered the avocado egg rolls, Korean BBQ Beef burrito, and the Chicken Fusion Burrito with mandarin sauce for food and the Coconut Kiss and Japanese Lemonade to drink. 1) Avocado Egg Rolls — A MUST!!! Like OMG drop what you are doing right now and get at least 2 orders! The aioli dipping sauce is also the bomb. 2) Korean BBQ Beef Burrito — Fabulous! Why is it so good?!? Tender Korean BBQ in a burrito form, blessed with a kiss from heaven. A little zippy. 3) Chicken Fusion Burrito with Mandarin Sauce — It was a tough call between this and the Korean BBQ burrito but I’m going to have to say this one was EVENBETTER than the BBQ beef. HOWISTHATPOSSIBLE!!! Talk about blowing one’s mind with an amazingly awesome flavor explosion. Also a little zippy but ugh, I want it in my belly right now! –two sauces are available to enhance your fusion experience: a red sauce and a green sauce. Both are very flavorful and neither is overly spicy. 4) Coconut Kiss — if you like coconut water, then you will love this drink! Coconut water with a «kiss» of cherry and fresh coconut pieces. Yummy, refreshing, and healthy! 5) Japanese lemonade — this was so good I was only able to try 1 sip before my fiancée drank it all. Refreshing, tasty, delicious. We need more of this in our lives. Dos Ricco’s may not be close to downtown/touristy areas, but I will make a point to come here when I am in Chicagoland. They are located just east of Midway airport. They also cater; this would be the best catering ever for a wedding(my wedding, yes yes yes! lol). If you want to try something new, that is not overly crazy and extremely delicious, than you need Dos Ricco’s in your life!

Well, where do I begin? Let me first go over each item I sampled. Burrito Fusion(Beef w/Mandarin) *** Tasty and quite good. The down part was the rice and the amount of it versus the meat. Very filling, but needs more protein, especially for the price. Kung Pau Chicken. ** Okay, but really not that great. I wouldn’t order it again. I really wasn’t happy to see the pre-cooked rice come out of a big bag, instead fresh out of a rice cooker. If you want to cook Asian, then cook Asian. The meal was just okay, nothing special. It tasted like a packet you’d get at the grocery store. Korean BBQ Steak Taco **** Outstanding! Very flavorful and well made. Although a bit small and lacking a goodly amount of meat, it was delicious. If I had stopped with just this, my overall rating would have been different. Atmosphere * Very small, with seating inside of only 4 very small round tables. No AC made it extremely hot inside. It was 81 degrees outside and with no AC or ventilation, I was sweating like a BBQ’d pig! At least they should invest in a fan to get some circulation. After the taco, I got the rest to go just so I wouldn’t pass out due to heat exhaustion. Location * Right next to a VERY busy road. Be careful on the sidewalk. Staff & Friendliness ***** Outstanding! Very friendly and helpful. It was nice to be able to watch the chef cook. He is obviously very dedicated and loves his work. Overall *** Suggestion: Drop the fusion and do what you do best, Mexican. While what I had was okay, it is not truly a fusion and they’re better off sticking to one method. At least get the spelling right(See photo)

We ordered the avocado egg rolls and split the Korean BBQ tacos and burritos. The avocado egg rolls came with some sort of siracha mayo for dipping. The sauce does have a little spice to it! The burrito is a good size while the taco lacked a little in size. Just because I’ve had tacos in the past where they have been stacked high! the more the merrier right? Flavor wise definitely a nice mix between Korean and Mexican…

I can’t say enough positive comments about this place! The food is unique and full of flavor combinations I’ve never experienced before. We came here because of its proximity to Midway Airport and its high Unilocal reviews. We had : Ceviche — bright and light, subtle seafood flavors, with refreshing citrus Dumplings — fried just right, with nice taste of scallions and a sweet dipping sauce Korean BBQ Tacos — charred for smoky flavor with kick of cilantro and just the right amount of spice to make you feel it Horchata — offered with white chocolate or caramel, but the original was sweet on its own What really stood out was the service we experienced. We had our two children with us and we were sitting around a small table, when the owner(I presume), came out of the back to kindly ask some other patrons to move a bit so he could slide another table over to us! He, along with the other chef came out a few times to ask us how our food was, and offer desserts. This was not what I was expecting from a small, shack-like(no disrespect), intimate venue like this. Ricardo and the team here deserve the praise and accolades they’ve received. I highly recommend this place for a unique take on Mexican/Asian fusion. If I didn’t live 40 miles away, I would be duke!

This place is merely awesome! The location is very close the Midway Airport, about two(2)-minute driving distance south of the airport. However, walking to this place from Midway is feasible. Be careful while you’re driving because you most likely will miss it! The exterior is extremely nondescript. They do have a private parking lot; there are two(2) vehicle spaces available. Nevertheless, the rest of the parking lot is up to you at what position you would like to park. Thus it’s a free-style parking, like a long program in figure skating. Once you’ve overcome all of the difficulties prior entering into the restaurant, you will experience one of the most amazing fusion dishes you would ever find in the city of Chicago limit. We ordered the avocado rolls, two(2) fried bean tacos, and two(2) orders of horchata. Let me tell you. You have to try all of them if you get a chance. The horchata was super on point! It’s one of the best I’ve had, comparing to the ones I’ve had in Logan Square and Albany Park. The avocado rolls were crunchy(very creative use of the wonton wrappers), and the avocado paste was rich and creamy. By the way, the southwestern dipping sauce for the avocado rolls was so delicious. We dipped the tacos with it as well. The bean tacos were filling even though there was no meat in there whatsoever. Vegetarians will enjoy themselves in this joint. Some items on the menu have the«VF» as the indicators that they can accommodate your vegetarian requests if you desire. The service was friendly. The young man behind the counter knows all of his regulars. This place is a GEM in the neighborhood. Forget the generic airport food. Get your orders to-go since you get these gourmet-quality items at very reasonable prices. If you have time, there are a few tables to sit down and chill.
