After seeing the reviews, I was really looking forward to trying it out. When we got there, we found out it had closed and it’s now an Ice Cream Shop. Yet, according to Unilocal, they were still opened. Not really up to date.

Vegan bliss! Although, I do think they should play some music here more often because it does get awkward eating in silence. This place has amazing food and taco options. I do think they should add more beverages to the menu but other than that this place deserves nothing but 5 stars! The cook here is very talented! :)

Much needed locale on the southwest side. You’ve got Indio II down the street catering to similar clientele but Madre Mia is by all accounts completely vegan. Came by here last weekend, and agree they have to work out a few kinks, but overall the food was delicious. Really hope more restaurateurs will take note and consider opening more establishments like this in the area. While the southwest side is not a food desert, I would argue it’s a «foodie» desert.

Really great addition to the south side. EVERYTHING I’ve tried so far is delicious and very affordable. The quantities are also very generous. Definitely Mexican food– just veggie and vegan friendly.

Been here twice so far. They’re new and have kinks to work out, but I think they will. They’re all vegan, though if you ask for cow cheese they will provide it. Otherwise they use Trader Joe’s vegan mozzarella which they get from the local TJ’s wholesaler. Food is in the ballpark of Quesadilla in Logan or Indio 2 down 63rd, but different enough to be worth a separate trip. Chips and salsa picante on your table as you decide what to order is always nice. The quesadillas are soft on the outside, and molten goodness on the inside. Tacos are flour tortillas with cilantro and onions. Juices are good as you would expect. If you don’t know what to get, try the Bistec a la Mexicana. Big portions of refried beans, rice, and spicy seitan bits with a side of flour tortillas. You’ll probably have leftovers. The big star is the chocolate chia pudding. Its like ice cream, with bits of frozen banana and ice chips that will make any kid happy. Prices are excellent. Parking is pretty easy and there aren’t any meters here. The bathroom is nice and clean. Now the bad parts. The ceviche tostadas tasted like lemon candy. I think the nuts or seeds they used for protein had too much natural sweetness and made a weird flavor. The fries could make your toddler cry, as they are warm slices of sweet potatoes, neither baked nor fried. Service can be slow, so pay attention and maybe you can keep the momentum. Also, and this is a pet peeve of mine, but they can be out of multiple things, and the servers won’t know until they try to place an order. The kitchen should let the servers know at start of shift. So give this new place a try and some support. It’s especially worth a stop on the way to or from Midway.

Awesome new place! So happy that a vegan restaurant made its way to the south side! The food is excellent and so is the juice bar! The staff is really nice and so is the owner Violet. She’s very informative about all the ingredients and answered all my questions! The raw zucchini Alfredo is absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely be making a weekly visit here!

A new and different addition to 63rd St. Small place simply decorated and unpretentious, I like that. I’m by no means vegetarion but have no problem going meatless either. I have tried their pastor burritos and their pambazos. Both were excelent, the burrito comes on a green flour tortilla, spinach maybe, with rice, beans and avocado, and the soy pastor of course, very good indeed. The pambazo was so good with the potatoes and the soyrizo, I ordered a side of sweet potato fries that were delicious and flavorful. They also have an extensive drink menu, and a full dinner menu with very diverse plates. All from tacos and tostadas de ceviche and tinga to sushi rolls, hitting other continents like the eggplant parma and the veggie paella. The service could use a little help but not a deal breaker.
