Yummy! I’d been running errands when I walked past and decided to try carry out at the last minute — so glad I did. Tried the Chipotle Chicken Tacos and Spicy Hawaiian Pork Tacos, both had clean fresh flavors with crispy fresh Mexican kimchi, and perfectly cooked black beans and rice. Looking forward to trying other menu items soon!

Not gonna lie this place surprised the heck out of me. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but the food on the inside is fantastic. Lots of flavor. The tap water tasted kind of funny so I recommend getting a bottled water. Didn’t go for the water though. Recommend the Korean Beef Burrito.

this is a nice little place in the neighborhood. However, I wish the food was a little bit tastier and the portions bigger. $ 10 for a spoon of tasteless rice and 6 pieces of fried mandarin chicken is a lot of money… I think this would be an amazing place if the food was tastier and the portions bigger or at the very least a little cheaper. It is an ok place and I will continue to come here if I’m in a hurry for lunch. their service is pretty quick and the staff is friendly and the place overall is clean and it has a good vibe,

Best pad Thai in the city! I’ve been on a mission to find good pad Thai and my search is now over. The noodles are cooked perfectly, a little kick and not fishy at all! I’ve had the buffalo egg rolls and they are good too but the pad Thai is a must… you won’t regret it!

I work right down the street from Dos Rocco’s and eat here a lot. The new lunch menu is fantasic — especially the chipotle chicken taco and korean taco. I’m also a big fan of the chicken quesadilla(get it with the chipotle chicken), the buffalo chicken egg roll and the grilled tilapia burrito bowl with rice. The owner and staff are always super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. But I keep coming back for the food. It’s just an amazing combination of flavors.

Awesome fusion of Mexican and Asian food. I highly suggest the Jalapeño Pad Thai and the Arbol Fried Rice. As a side, the buffalo chicken egg rolls are hard to beat. I will say however that they overcharge for how much they give you for some items. That’s why I would give them a 4 instead of 5. If you stick with the main specials however, you will be more than satisfied!

Went with friends to Dos Ricco’s earlier this year in the winter and it was OK I guess. But not really good enough for me to warrant a repeat visit. The restaurant is advertised as Mexican-Asian fusion, which I personally didn’t find. Rather, I found it to be half-Mexican cuisine, and half-Asian cuisine. I elected to go the Mexican cuisine route as I ordered the chicken bowl & my wife got the pork bowl. I also got an order of avocado rolls for the table, which ended up being the tastiest thing on the menu. Also I’m not sure if I went there at a strange time or after the restaurant just opened up but there was no overhead menu and it was rather unclear what was on the menu, which was especially tough given the eclectic nature and«fusion» of the restaurant that had 2 different types of cuisine. Overall the food was fine, but for a chicken bowl, pork bowl, and avocado rolls to cost $ 36 I’m not sure I would go back anytime soon for something that isn’t light years better than Chipotle.

Absolutely must try if you live in the area. Reasonably priced, delicious and something completely new. I find myself coming here once or twice a week, and I regret nothing. Try the korean bbq steak tacos/burritos, or the chipotle chicken tacos — those are my favorites.

As soon as you step through the door, you realize how incredible the owner is. He makes you feel welcome, explains the menu, and personally checks in on you while you are dining. They recently had a menu change, and it’s definitely for the better! They still have their tried and true Jalapeño Pad Thai and Chile de Arbol Fried Rice. Both truly have Asian and Mexican flavors merged together, so if your main reason for trying Dos Ricco’s is fusion, these are your winners. Today I tried the Chipotle Chicken rice bowl, and it left me wanting to go back tomorrow and order it again! They pickled their onions in some kind of incredible dressing, used Spanish rice(which normally I’m not a fan of, but theirs was so perfectly cooked) and topped it with their aioli(which is to die for). We also had Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls(think southwest flavors: black beans, corn, cheese) and the Tres Leches Cake, both of which were great additions to the meal. The food is out quickly, so don’t order more than one appetizer to share since your main course will be out in a matter of minutes! I walked out of there feeling pleasantly surprised with the changes made to the place. They changed their lunch pricing to about $ 5 with $ 4.50 side + drink. They originally posted it much cheaper, and for the smaller lunch-size portions, I’m not sure $ 10 is worth it! Maybe they’ll change it back soon.

A hidden gem, family owned and delicious fusion food. Casual atmosphere. Try the avocado rolls, shrimp burrito, Korean steak BBQ! Have not had anything I didn’t like here. Try it today!

Horrible food. We ordered the Hawaiian pork taco and vegetarian burrito. Both had no flavor. Extremely disappointing. Even the buffalo fries had zero flavor. I would rather starve than order this restaurant again!

It’s okay, tried a few different things with the family, ate in house. Gentleman who served us was nice food tacos were different but not bad, the rice and beans that came with it though were a little bland(beans probably from a can). Also had the mango habanero dish which again wasn’t bad. I do think that for what you’re getting its a bit over priced, 12 bucks for 2 tacos is kinda nuts. Just meh I guess.

Laid back atmosphere, friendly and helpful owner chef, super inventive menu. I try something different every time I come, and am never disappointed. North Center has a poor track record lately with restaurants shuttering from low attendance. Let’s keep this one afloat!

I love Dos Riccos. Their Shrimp Teriyaki Burrito gave me such feelings of joy, and so did their Spicy Avocado Rolls. I’ve been back several times, and always love how polite the staff is, and how wonderful the fusion is! The Orange Chicken Burrito and all of their teas are stellar. I don’t usually try spicy foods, but their dishes have a great balance of flavor and spice and they are a gem for the neighborhood! PS The chalkboard menu is beautiful, as well!

I literally crave this place at least once a week. Absolutely everything I’ve had from there is unbelievable and delicious. My favorites are the Korean steak tacos, fish and shrimp tacos(grilled) and the shrimp tempura burrito. Holy lord the combination of ancho chili sauce with whatever ginger stuff they put on, the kimchi and the always perfectly cooked meat is so so so mf good. I had the tilapia tacos and the shrimp tacos earlier today– and no lie I want it again. Now. Seriously if you’re in the mood for some AMAZING fusion get it at Dos Riccos. Also– worth noting– I always order delivery and literally 9⁄10 times it has been delivered in under 30 minutes. Today it took a full hour but it was WORTHIT.

Tried Dos Riccos out with some friends on a Friday night… Really Great service! The owner served us and was super accommodating and helpful with menu selections. I had the buffalo chicken rolls and the chipotle chicken tacos. AMAZING! I’ll be back for sure! BYOB

I don’t know if it was because I ordered an hour before closing but the tacos were awful and super bland. Tried 4 different tacos including the grilled steak taco, spicy hawaiin taco, korean bbq taco, and the fried shrimp taco. I could not even taste the differences between the tacos. Really disappointing. Especially when the tacos are $ 3-$ 4.

I walked in and was greeted by a very and enthusiastic owner and an intimidating menu. They do a lot of different foods here, and they bravely combine mexican and asian cuisine. Not only do they do the typical korean tacos and burritos; they do mexican-inspired bowls and noodle dishes showing that mexican asian fusion goes both ways. With so many choices and combination possibilities plus an interesting appetizer selection, i had a really hard time deciding. Eventually, i went with the tempura shrimp burrito. This burrito was perfectly assembled down to the subtleties that dont matter most of the time. It was served half-wrapped in foil with a cuff around the edge like a neatly-made bed. The temperature was perfect: hot but not ready to burn your tongue. The tortilla had a crispy layer on the outside but a chewy texture on the inside(but not doughy). Inside, there was a lot of rice, but you realize the ratios are perfect when you start to bite it. The brown rice had a nutty sesame-like aroma and flavor and was not packed too tightly. The shrimp was fat and juicy, cooked perfectly in a crispy tempura batter. The cabbage provided a nice acidity and crunch. The mayo sauce was a little too sweet, but i still loved the burrito. With such an enthusiastic owner who spoke passionately about the food and a burrito with insane attention to detail, i just have to come back. Plus, i love fusion fast casual. If youre looking for mexican fusion with no rules, look no further than dos riccos. UPDATE: Tried the wings. The sauce wasnt too thick but kinda strong. Chicken was perfectly crisp and juicy Tried 4 tacos. I liked the korean bbq and the chipotle chicken, but they werent as good as the burritos. The vegetables made the tacos get cold kinda fast

Very good! Healthy choices. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly. All the food looks delicious. Although it’s a little pricey. 3 burritos cost me $ 25 however they are large AND filling.

I first tried Dos Ricco’s on the southside of Chicago a while back(can’t remember, will have to check my other review) and asked why they didn’t have one on the northside. This hole in the wall would kill on the northside of Chicago! Or so I thought. I found out that they expanded to the northside through groupon and was ecstatic that I could get their awesome fusion flavors much closer to home. The boyfriend and I went there with my groupon and noticed that their northside menu is completely different from the original southside menu. It was more of a «build your own» type of menu, like a chipotle. I didn’t like that option so much since there were two very specific burrito blends on the original menu that is amazing, and we didn’t know the concoction. The owner was at this location and explained that the menu was still the same and helped us replicate our beloved fusion burritos. When we went to use the groupon, I noticed that he did not take the full groupon value off(minus a few bucks). I remember noticing this issue at the southside location too, but noticed it too late when I already got to my car. We mention this to the owner and he could not explain why it happened, but blames it on groupon. I use groupon a lot and have never had this issue with any other groupons before, so I sense something shady here. The whole back and forth just seemed like they were pocketing the difference themselves. I guess the most important aspect is the food. The burritos we had tasted nothing like the ones on the southside. They had tons of filler(crispy noodles), and it was overly seasoned with a different tasting sauce(way too sweet). It was not good. It was like crappy chinese take out thrown into a tortilla. I was extremely disappointed. It looks like I’ll have to continue heading south to get my fusion burritos, although I’m skeptical to even do that with the suspicious groupon ordeal.

Dos Ricco’s is an interesting blend of Asian and Mexican foods. They only offer counter service, which is fine by me. Their menu is well displayed on a chalk board next to where you order. They feature their own creations. They also allow you to put together what you want — a bowl, a burrito or a salad with the variety of meats and vegetables they offer. We started with an «avocado eggroll» which was outstanding. It is served with a side of aioli that adds taste and spice. For my meal I had a «Korean Burrito». It had Kalbi, Kimchi and a variety of other pickled vegetables. The combination of sweet, savory and spicy was evenly balanced and very good. I can’t comment on what the others with me had, but everyone was delighted.

Really happy I can update this. Gave this place another try since there was a Groupon. It was incredibly delicious. I had the tempura tilapia bowl, and holy crap, that fish was cooked perfectly. I mean, so flaky and so delicious — it was some of the best fish I’ve had, honestly. Even more shocking was the tilapia taco my husband got. Dear I say it was better than Taco Joint? Also really enjoyed the green mild sauce they have. Service was also great. Will be back again.

I ordered for delivery last night from Dos Ricco’s. My meal was fried, soggy, and bland. That said, I did enjoy the Mexican Egg Rolls and the Korean BBQ Steak Taco. The San Francisco Fries definitely win the soggy award and the Avocado Rolls? They were weird, soggy, and(again) fried. I think the restaurant tried too hard to put a modern twist on a fried«roll» with that one.

Asian Mexican fusion is everythang! Fun & unique combinations. You can get your shrimp either tempura or grilled. Avocado Egg Rolls are awesome. Orange chicken here is made better than most Asian restaurants. Excellent customer service from all staff including the owner who is such a sweetheart. Nice, large open and pretty space. Bathroom is nice and clean. Try everything! If you’re hesitant, then buy a Groupon which is available now $ 20 worth of food for $ 12. Buen provecho!

Maybe we just came on an off day, but I had a really poor experience here. Gf and I bought the groupon and were excited to try something new. The chef(owner?) welcomed us immediately and asked if we had any questions. We decided to start with the steak nachos. I ordered the shrimp tempura burrito with sweet and sour sauce and she got the spicy noodles, upon recommendation. First off, it took nearly 20 minutes for them to bring out our nachos. The place was completely empty, so I’m not sure what was happening there. The waitress brought our entrees first and upon asking about the nachos she said there was«some commotion» back in the kitchen(where there were…2 chefs… cooking just our food…) and that they’d be out shortly. I honestly wish they never came. It was a plate of stale chips with a sprinkling of cheese and lettuce and extremely overcooked steak. And those were $ 7! The shrimp tempura burrito was also a let down. Way overdressed, though the sauce was quite good, and the rice, cheese, and seafood combo just didn’t work. The shrimp was tasty, but no match for the other competing ingredients. Gf said her noodles were not spicy, very mooshy, and extremely heavy. They do not skimp on portions though, so there was a good amount of chicken. We also each got a pineapple lemonade which was refreshing and sweet. Our food and drinks came out to about $ 35,($ 15 with the groupon). There are much better mexican/asian restaurants in the area with a lot more reasonable prices. It’s possible the service and food were off because the place is new, but I don’t think i’ll be coming back and would not recommend it to others.

So this is a new Asian Mexican fusion in the area that is worth it to try. As a foodie I visit different place that is call«Asian fusion«but what you get is more than the same. Dos Riccos really mix the best of both cuisines, from tacos, to pad Thai from ceviche to Korean BBQ meat. I found it actually on groupon and when we got there and looked the menu I wanna to Order everything in the menu. Of course I Unilocal right away and people recommend to try for appetizer the ceviche, which that’s what I ordered. The flavor of this ceviche was so delicious, you could feel the lime mix with the cilantro and they don’t play with the seafood they add enough. Then we ordered the Asian bowls, I got the Korean BBQ with, Mexican rice and my bf the Hawaiian BBQ pork with brown rice and kimchi. Bowls were so big enough to have to go, I was surprise of how much they served for the price. At the end the owner stopped I found that very nice, you don’t see that often anymore. I told him to please to keep it like this, everything look good there.

Loved the food here! I had the Korean stake bbq taco, grilled chicken taco and guac with chips. the chips were SO good(they were literally just out of the fryer). Korean steak taco was delicious as well– marinated steak and cheese. Grilled chicken taco was a but less impressive but still good. Only feedback I have for the restaurant is that the décor could use an upgrade. Also getting a liquor license for drinks(asian/Latin fusion cocktails? YES) would be awesome. I’ll be back!

I was greeted by the staff upon entering. They allowed me some time to acquaint myself with the menu before coming over to answer a few questions I had. Throughout my time dining, I witnessed the staff going above and beyond expectations to accommodate all the customers present. The food was delicious, spicy, and exactly what I needed for lunch. I suggest trying the chile de arbol fried rice with steak.

Cool place, spacious and clean with lots of big windows. Certainly family-friendly, a big plus for the neighborhood. Service was quick and friendly, they explained a few things on the menu and the two different salsas. The two tacos I tried were very good, and unique. The Korean BBQ taco was stewed in sauce and a little sweet, but good. The tempura shrimp taco was better, crispy and tasty with a nice pickled red onion and cilantro garnish. I’d return again to try different things on the menu.

I have been to Dos Ricco’s about 5 times since it’s opened, and I can honestly say that I have not been disappointed with any of my visits. Their food is simple, delicious cuisine. It’s easy to see that the owners take pride in their quality and presentation of food. We have had the various taco selections(I personally dug the shrimp!); we LOVE their mild and hot salsas! I’ve also tried their Crab Rangoon, which is pretty amazing as well. My sister loves their authentic beverages here as well(I tried one of the iced teas, and it was awesome!). It’s also BYOB! We popped over to Bottles & Cans, stocked up on some beer, and had great beverages with our tacos. I wanted to write a great review because they are a new business, and they need support! My husband and I want to see that place packed more often because their food is SO yummy. Go to Dos Riccos!

The Korean BBQ tacos were tasty, but for $ 2.79 per taco I expect them to be a good size. I got two and I was still hungry afterwards. And I refuse to spend almost $ 9 for a taco bowl after reading other comments about small portion sizes. Good stuff, but unless they up their portion sizes or lower prices I probably won’t be back.

It’s alright… Was really excited to have something new and interesting open up in the hood. It is a decent place, I guess I was just hoping for so much more. The prices are a bit high for what you get on some items. Had the Korean beef burrito and it was pretty much filled with rice and virtually no beef or anything else. So bad that I have to have think it was a mistake. For about $ 8, I definitely feel that it was not worth the money and actually won’t get a burrito again. Tacos were good, but again kinda pricey considering the ingredients and protein quantity. Generally speaking, everything was a bit over salted as well Have to say that I loved the Hawaiian nachos and crab rangoon. I hope they are just working out some grand opening kinks, but the prices are still a bit too high.
