This place is amazing. They have such a great selection of food and it is all superb. I got a burger and it was by far the best burger I have ever had! Definitely get their sweet potato fries too!

Doc B’s, go a head take my money. I’ve been here twice this week for lunch. My wallet may be sad but my stomach is incredibly happy. Service was top notch whether it’s was dine in or take out. Hostesses are incredibly nice. First time in I had the Shrimp Wok Noodle Bowl. It was delicious. Shrimp was cooked perfectly and the noodles are incredibly tasty. I’m not sure how they make the noodles but they are nothing I’ve ever tasted before. So good. Second time, take out, I had the turkey burger with sweet potato fries. One of the best turkey burgers I’ve ever had. Topped with cheese and avocado with this great sauce, it’s filling and satisfying. The fries were great and came with a nice honey mustard for dipping. Rest assured you’re in for a great meal.

I really enjoyed their Wok Out bowl. Since I’m not a big fan of sandwiches or burgers, the bowl turned out to be a great choice. You can choose the protein, sauce and grain. I got the salmon, teriyaki and noodles. The salmon was cooked just right. There was a good amount of veggies and it wasn’t too oily. Filling but not food coma filling, a good thing. The waitress was very nice. A casual yet nice place for dinner.

There’s nothing in life that can quite compare to a burger done right. Eating one is like watching your favorite movie with your loved ones on a snowy night. And Doc B’s does burgers right. Top-notch beef cooked properly(i.e. NOTWELLDONE), and ingenious toppings. Our server Nikola was even more stellar than the food. She was friendly, helpful, and checked up on our table with a goldilocks frequency — not too much, not too little. I highly recommend Doc B’s for your burger needs downtown!

We found this place on Unilocal looking for a spot for 12 of us to go that wouldn’t cost a ton. They had a pretty good menu, burgers, rice bowls, salads, etc. Drinks were good, a little pricey, but that’s what you get downtown Chicago. I ordered a regular cheeseburger and it was fine, nothing special. Service was good and efficient. They didn’t split the check for us though even though they said they would but it wasn’t too hard to figure out.

We got polenta fries(which came with pesto and tomato sauce — I guessed red and green salsa, and I was wrong and wrong), the Cajun fish sandwich, and the carnitas sandwich. They were all great, and the service was excellent, but it just seemed a bit too expensive for what we got. That was $ 60 with tip. $ 40 would have had me unabashedly praising this place.

Was in town for business and wanted to eat solo. The menu and reviews for Doc B’s drew me in. I didn’t realize they have several locations, bu tthey do. The place was packed on a random weekday at 8pm or so. I found a spot at the bar. The bartender was very nice, great service. They have a great selection of good high end wines by the glass(mostly American wines). I had the Guac app(very large and good) with sweet potato chips that were yummy. I also got the brussel sprout salad, which was very filling. Good food, good service, I would come back.

This place is kind of hard to find if you’re coming off Mag Mile. You have to go down a level and cross the street that way or you can walk into the nearby mall and go down a floor and exit through the hotel side. I ordered the number six here with sweet potato fries. The number six is essentially a spicy chicken sandwich with pickles and habanero bbq sauce and the sweet potato fries were thick cut. They were both delicious! As for ambience, they have a nice bar area here and plenty of tvs that play the games so it’s a great place to relax and chill.

Really similar to R+D in LA, CA. Amazing food choices and made well. Only for dessert but everyone else loved their food

This place was picked for our monthly birthday lunch, and I decided to order the homage. I was a little hesitant to eat my burger. It was still pink inside, and since it was a take out burger I didn’t feel comfortable eating it medium plus it was burnt on the outside. It said the Burger comes with 1000 island dressing, pickles, and onion. I literally got two rings of onion and over all the burger wasn’t great, especially not for $ 11. Other people that got a burger agreed.

Solid foods. nice. Solid service. nice. Décor and layout along with the obvious tourist groups reminded me of dining in an airport restaurant. Sports bar /TakeAway counter/casual dining /dessert and coffee restaurant. nice. Tasted the wedge burger. nice Tasted the sweet potato fries nice,(though i prefer them half as thin and double fried to crisp them even more) Ice cream cookie and chocolate layered cake. nice. Artichoke dip. nice. rather a deep bowl, so extra chips may be required. nice

Gave me a hot towel to wipe away burger grease. Love service like that. Was in a rush and the server was very accommodating. Got the wedge burger and it was delicious. It was greasy with the egg and everything, but not so much where it was disgusting. Drink was refilled without asking also which always makes me happy. If I am in the area again I definitely would go back.

Looking for a place to get a quick bite to eat with no hassles. We walked in and got seated. Ordered the blacked grouper and Tennessee hot chicken. Size was not impressive but definitely filling for me(I got the chicken). It was just too glazy. I would probably order something different next time. Perhaps their burgers are better. The service is decent. They kept refilling our water. I think this place would be really cool in the warmer months when they can open up that garage doors. Very neat looking.

Doc B’s is an elegant restaurant for an establishment that serves burgers, sandwiches & salads. At fist impression, upon entrance of the open floor plan of the restaurant, it had the vibe of a modern Asian restaurant because of the clean lines & pops of red, but then you see the kitschy street art hanging & realize they are more playful My boyfriend & I wanted something different since we had a lot of Italian food, pizza & the night before had food from a steakhouse. We ordered guacamole & chips, which were legit! They gave us a huge portion of guacamole & freshly fried corn chips. The guacamole was perfectly seasoned & the chips were hot with out being too hot. For entrees we ordered the Backyard Burger w/fries, BBQ sauce, garlic ranch & a house made ketchup & the Cajun Chicken sandwich with a side salad. The Backyard Burger was good according to my boyfriend, but the cheese needed to be melted &1 slice of Canadian bacon would have sufficed. The Cajun Chicken sandwich was close to perfect. The fist bite was the best because I could taste the Cajun seasoning but as a proceeded, the Cajun flavor dissipated. The side salad was one of the best I’ve ever had & it had tiny pieces of English cucumber slices, which I loved & cornbread croutons which I thought were brilliant. The texture was amazing as it was crunchy on the outside but a little chewy soft inside. It was awesome! I recommend this to anyone staying in Downtown Chicago! Be forewarned… it can be pricey. I spent $ 50 for lunch including tax & tip.

Nice Two Brothers IPA draft beer, excellent burger with really tasty fries. All this for less than 18 bucks. What else would you need. I don’t know if The Dragon burger was the best ever but certainly in the Top 10: juicy, spicy and just the right size. All in all very good indeed. The restaurant looks very modern without going overboard. During my visit the place was perhaps half full. Total time to wait for the burger to arrive was actually less than in some fast food chain places, so very fast indeed. Would I return? Absolutely! Have to confess I was a bit skeptic about these 4.5 star reviews but it turns out they are in fact perfectly correct

Doc B’s really delivered… and they REALLY did! It’s always great when you discover something new for lunch. I have a few stops I typically frequent while at the Mart, but today for a meeting we ordered Doc B’s delivery from a nearby location. I rarely order a sandwich for delivery, but for some reason the crispy chicken sandwich called out to me, so I went for it! The order came with no hassle, but when I saw that all my colleagues ordered noodles, I was a bit worried. However… when I opened up the lightly steamed plastic cover, the crispy chicken breast was perfectly plump, nicely presented with a sprinkling of sea salt on top, and it was delivered as an open face sandwich. The other side of the bun had a nice portion of coleslaw piled on top in a light dressing, and when folded together it was absolutely surprisingly delicious! I look forward to ordering it up the next time around. Note: The sandwich came with a side and I chose sweet potato fries. Though fries are never crispy with a delivery order, I will say these fries were thick and flavorful and came with a container of honey mustard sauce– a very nice touch! I actually used the sauce for my sandwich in the end. Way to go Doc B’s!

Great lunch experience with Doc B’s today! My co-workers and I ordered delivery for our meeting and this was probably my favorite lunch experience while working in the city so far. Super awesome that they delivered to our office and the food even came 15 minutes earlier than we were quoted. Doc B’s offers a nice variety — salads, sandwiches, burgers, entrees, asian inspired bowls and more. They really live up to the«fresh-casual» restaurant they call themselves. I love the mix of comfort food and healthy options. I ordered a wok out bowl which is served with market veggies and chopped cashews. You then choose your meat, sauce, and carb options. I went with the black tiger shrimp, spicy Thai, and Shanghai lo mein($ 14). Absolutely delicious! The spicy Thai sauce had the perfect amount of heat(although water still needed) and was full of flavor. I was surprised not only by the quality and size of the shrimp, but the amount! Usually when you order something with shrimp you maybe get a few pieces, but this bowl was packed. The veggies and noodles were perfectly portioned. Such a fabulous lunch!

My Sunday lunch at Doc B’s was a delight. Service: There was no wait for a table, and our server was friendly and efficient. My glass of water was never empty. The food came out pretty quickly. Ambience: I love the vibe at Doc B’s. Huge windows line the front of the building, allowing ample sunlight to flood the restaurant. The booths are comfortable and there are mounted flatscreens available for viewing, but not plastered all over like a sports bar. The tables are well spaced apart, so I couldn’t easily eavesdrop. The only weird thing was the incredibly dark bathroom which made it hard to check myself out as much as I wanted to. Food: I had the Turkey Burger with sweet potato fries and shared the Sweet Potato chips with housemade guacamole. The Turkey Burger was delicious and surprisingly filling. The tortilla chips within the burger added a welcome crunch and the avocado was a perfect consistency. For some reason, even though I cut the burger in half, I had a difficult time containing all the components within the bun. Some of our sweet potato chips were burnt, but the taste was not off. The guacamole could have used more spice, but it was creamy and yummy. I also had a bite of the California Salad with kale, dried cranberries, sweet potatoes and Wasabi peas. The salad had a great texture and fresh taste, but I’d go without the bland radishes. I would definitely go back and try more!

I found this place while waiting for one of the Wendella architecture boat tours. I really liked the feel of this place. It a perfect mix between a modern bar and restaurant. There are big TVs all around that aren’t at all overbearing and are actually quite inviting. There is a good amount of seating and we didn’t have to wait for a table of 2. The service was really nice too! As for the food, I got: Guacamole with sweet potato chips — this was pretty good, I wish there was more in the guac because it was more plain than I hoped, but still nice and creamy California kale salad — I definitely recommend this! This kale salad came with radish, wasabi peas, roasted sweet potatoes, dried cranberries, tortilla chips, avocado, pistachio, and a sweet vinaigrette. Great flavors! It was so good I tried to make it myself the next day. I never order salads but I may now be a changed man. All in all, this place has great food with fresh ingredients. I would love to try it again!

I absolutely loved the chill atmosphere of this place, with its upbeat soundtrack that’s not too loud, and its modern ambience. On nice days the front opens out onto the sidewalk, but my favorite spot is at the full service bar, where the servers are as knowledgeable about the menu as the drinks. And what a menu! I started with the grilled artichokes, which were charred around the edges and tender and meaty in the center. The bitterness of the char worked perfectly with the remoulade(which was really more like an aioli). At the bartender’s recommendation I had her favorite, a tuna sandwich. Okay, now erase the image that just formed in your head, as this was nothing like any tuna sandwich you’ve ever had. Tender, rare circles of ahi tuna decorated a sesame bun, and slices of crisp apple added a delightful crunch to every bite. Amazing! For desert I chose the mint gelato sandwich, which was served between two chocolate chip cookies. It went great with a generous pour of Macallan 12. A limited wine and beer list contains very thoughtful selections. Although there are only twenty or so wines by the glass, I would have happily have any of them, and I’m not sure I’ve ever said that about a restaurant’s wine by the glass offerings before. Needless to say, I will back at Doc B’s very soon!
