Small spot but very quick and delicious. No restrooms though.

I read in yesterday’s paper that they were giving away free burgers with any purchase. This was an anniversary special they were having that day only. So I came here and bought some fries for $ 2.50 and walked out with a double hurt burger for free! That was awesome!!! The burger was good but I am unsure if it tasted that good because it was free??? I don’t know if I would spend $ 7 at its normal price. This location is small and seemed packed with 10 people inside so I took my food home.

Today was my 1st time using UberEATS. This was by far the WORST experience I’ve ever had with a restaurant and delivery service. I had 2 canceled lunch orders. Overall I’ve wait 3 hours for a meal that never arrived. I was promised $ 20 of food credits toward my next purchase in which I was NEVER credited. I will no longer use this service, nor give a penny to this restaurant that had a ton of backed up orders. I DONOTRECOMMEND UberEATS.

My husband and I walked by it on our return from shopping and stopped in so he could quickly eat something for dinner. He ordered the«Chicago Double», I believe it was called. I tried a bite and have been craving it ever since. I’m not even a «burger person» so it says a lot for me to be enthusiastic about one. I have no doubt that everything on their menu is excellent and looking forward to going back.

They have a good burger, but not amazing. It’s a good place to stop in for a quick lunch.

This was one of my favorite hangout place with my friends at the Chicago Booth business school. Coming here is quite convenient from downtown Chicago using Über for about a 15 minute ride. The vanilla shake here is absolutely the BEST, very fresh tasting and very creamy. I highly recommend it. Other than that, any burger here would satisfy you. I especially like the ones that have a mix of meat, eggs, and special sauce or cheese(like blue cheese). The fries here are great too especially the ones with truffle sauce. Come have a try and enjoy the vanilla shake, truffle fries, and tasty burgers!

I finally got a chance to check out M Burger due to a recommendation from a friend. He raved about wanting to check it out so we decided to skip going to Portillo’s and make a impromptu trip here instead. I didn’t have any expectations of M Burger before visiting but now I wish we’d had gone to Portillo’s. The cashier was super nice but the woman serving the food seemed like we were bothering her just by picking up our food. She acted that way to everyone that we served. Walking into M Burger gave me an instant flashbacks to the small restaurants in New York City. The sitting is very limited and it looks more like they cater to take out instead of the dining in experience. I would say it can roughly accommodate less than 10 people if they sat really close to each other. This is the perfect place for a quick solo dining experience or food on the go. I wouldn’t classify M Burger as a fast food restaurant but I wouldn’t come their expecting a five star level food. My friend made the statement that the fries tasted similar to McDonald’s but it was missing the addictive taste of McDonald’s. It’s hard to give this place anything above 3 stars with so many great burger joints all around Chicago. Even though the food was okay I would still check this place out so I could try out the ice cream or shakes. Everyone seems to like those items so I want to test it out for myself.

Very decent place to have a burger. I would consider them one step above pure fast food, so don’t come expecting a grommet burger — but man if you’re in the mood for a good burger, fires or a shake check out this Chicago chain. There’s limited seating inside, but there’s a bit of outdoor seating you can use in the summer.

The cashier was so nice and the food was good but that shake was Amazing. The lovely lady behind the counter even offered my husband the option to change his strawberry shake once he tasted my delicious caramel shake. This made the experience even better. He enjoyed the strawberry shake too and she offered to put it in the freezer until we were done eating. Now he has two delicious shakes, lol. #FatBoy I order the Nurse Betty Salad Style and added turkey burger and my husband ordered the double cheese burger. The food was filling and we will be stopping by again when we are in the area. Good small atmosphere, great customer service and good food. #winning

Where is my meat? More bread and very thin and small meat on all of my orders. M burger sauce is good… but Turkey burger wasn’t that good… Malted milk shake was OK. Worth it to try with strawberries. I like epic burger over m burger…

Simple burger stand — only serving the basics — burger, fries, shakes. I don’t know why a burger import from NYC would bother getting into Chicago market — as there’s plenty of local burger joints that do it the way its suppose to here in Chicago, no not that McD’s down the street. I really wonder why tourists would bother with what was RockNRoll McD’s when there’s a place like M Burger around. The burgers are made to order, fries freshly prepared and cut that day. The staff is friendly(though could be difficult to hear in the tiny space which opens up to their tiny kitchen. The space is deceptive — as from the outside –it seems like a huge place with blacked out windows displaying the simple menu — which a large touristing family discovered as they walked 3 miles to MBurger for a decent dinner. They decided to go somewhere else at my prompting as the tiny space could not accommodate their familial herd. Space aside — the place kicks out a reliable burger, shakes and fries. The smells are additive — though I would rather eat outside — as I feel like I need a shower after standing in line for my food. The décor is simple– professional photos of people enjoying burgers(that’s what its about right?). The bun holds up nicely to the burger, I have mine simple with grilled onions and cheese. Fries are additively munchable — oh I finished my fries? I want a second batch… nothing like a greasy brown bag of burger /fry goodness as I sit on the tables outside watch the tourists mill about on a warm summer weekend.

Honestly was on my way to Portillo’s to have their always delicious burgers but decided to stop and try this place for the first time. I wish I kept on walking… I ordered the M burger and there was not one good thing I enjoyed from it. The burger was cold, even the bun. They overloaded the hamburger with this thousand island sauce that was too much. I then was at least hoping the fries were good but that as well was bad. Cold thin fries. Who likes cold food? I’m only giving it a 2 star since the tables outside were the only thing I liked about the place. You want a good burger try Portillo’s or Epic.

I didn’t like M Burger to start, but I’ve been dragged there often enough that is has grown on me. The menu is simple, like another amazing burger chain(In-N-Out), and the quality is pretty good too. Be aware that this location does not have any customer bathrooms. The flagship M Burger is solid, although the sauce doesn’t really impress. The best burger on the menu is the Hurt Burger, which comes in three different spiciness levels. Personally I think 2 has some kick without overpowering the rest of the flavor, and so that’s my go-to burger. They also have chicken and turkey, but it’s a burger place so why go with anything else? Fries are shoestring fries, and are salted pretty well. They don’t need ketchup, but if that’s your thing they do pair well enough. The fry size is small, so I sometimes get 2 orders if I’m feeling extra hungry. And the malts are tasty but small. If you have a craving then get it. Otherwise, for the size, it’s not worth it in my opinion.

Standard burger which tasted fine but when we entered the storefront, my dining mate and I thought that establishment smelled strangely fishy… and I’m pretty sure there is no fish on the menu. So that was a little disconcerting. You walk up to the counter and order and then wait to pick up and find a seat — the restaurant is verrrrry small and cramped, with a lot of shared benches and tables. Overall the dining area seemed a little messy with old napkins and crumbs on a lot of the tables. The burger and fries were decent, but given there are soooo many delish wonderful burgers in the city at restaurants with much better atmospheres, I probably won’t be back.

I came here solely for a grasshopper shake on the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day. It tasted like a Thin Mint and it was pretty great. This just may be one of my shortest reviews I write because there isn’t too much to say. The storefront is quite small – much smaller than I was expecting. Now I can see how they manage to fit multiple locations of their«restaurant» into the River North area alone. There’s more seating in the food court area of the Watertower Place M Burger than there is here. I guess I didn’t fully realize this is supposed to be just a fast food joint, not meant for dining in. If you’re in the mood for a burger and fries, I recommend going to the nearby Shake Shack instead. The quality is better, the prices are comparable, and there’s much, much more seating available. All that being said, I was pleased with my grasshopper shake. It was A-OK, though I do aspire for better and I probably won’t be back given the better options for a concrete or shake in the immediate area.

We came here for March milkshakes after the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade. They had the grasshopper and the leprechaun. I sampled both and the grasshopper was the better tasting one. The leprechaun is made with Andes mints and the grasshopper is made to taste like Girl Scout thin mint cookies. Yum! We chose this location because it happened to be closest to our location(there are three total in the river north-ish area). The storefront is very small. There is barely any seating available. We waited in line, then ended up just sipping our shakes as we walked around the city. We waited a long time for our shakes. They never called our number and numbers after us with bigger orders kept being called. They finally noticed us and brought our three shakes out from a back counter. They were slightly melted, which was frustrating. They should have made new ones or refunded us! That being said, the shakes were pretty decent. As I mentioned, the grasshopper tastes better even though it isn’t green like the leprechaun(which I wanted to get for it’s green color given the holiday). I’m not a burger person, so I probably wouldn’t come back here in the future. It was okay, but I know there are better burgers and shakes in the city. I originally gave three stars, but by the end of it I think two stars is probably more accurate. «Meh. I’ve had better.»

I was contacted by the General manager a few days after I posted my first review. He was very nice and offered to send me a gift card that way I would try out m burger again. Today I did receive a $ 10 gift card and I will definitely give this business another chance.

Starving and looking for a late afternoon lunch(and wanting to go somewhere that wasn’t filled with tourists). I decided to stop at M Burger. The service was friendly, and the burger came out fast, but it doesn’t make up for the fact that a thin crummy beef patty with a massive bread bun, slice of processed American cheese, and some lettuce should be close to $ 5.(And that was without fries or a drink!) Price aside, the burger did not taste very special or anything, very generic. With the dozens of other burger places in downtown alone, I do not think I will be back to this, or other M burger locations. Disappointing.

Despite the mixed reviews, I’ve been dying to try M Burger. The menu is reminiscent of In-n-Out(even down to the secret menu) As a person that considers In-n-Out one of the top 10 burgers of all time(oh yeah, it’s THAT good), I had to try it for myself. When you walk in to this particular M, you’ll realize that everyone that said it was tiny might have undersold it a little bit. There is barely any room to move and the line forms quickly. It did move quick and the guy working the register was pretty friendly once you were ordering. Since we were on a ‘burger crawl’ and had plans to try many burgers, we ended up ordering 2 single burgers and no fries. The single burger is NOT the way to go — trust me. There was way too much bun and you could barely taste the beef. If you’re not super hungry, I’d still recommend getting the double and just cutting it in half. The buns were the same cheap ones I get from Kroger — definitely nothing special about it at all and completely forgettable. The meat itself was tasty but like I said, there wasn’t much to go on. Of the two we ordered, I liked the traditional one better than the«M burger» I ended up eating most of the traditional one, which surprised me. I thought the M Burger would be the Midwest’s alternative to INO, but it’s not :( I probably wouldn’t come back unless I was with someone that wanted to go, even after I begged to go elsewhere and even still, I’d probably just try the fries.

Whenever I go to fast food style burger places, I end up comparing them to In N Out. How the comparison worked out: 1. Burgers. M Burger has more variety in the types of burgers they serve, but In N Out wins out for overall taste and quality. I’ve tried a couple of the burgers here(turkey, old fashioned, a bite of the hurt burger), and although they are good, In N Out wins in taste. +1 for In N Out 2. Fries. M Burger wins this one. Delightfully crispy, thin french fries with just the right amount of salt. +1 for M Burger 3. Price. 2 smaller sized burgers, fries, and a drink will set you back almost $ 15. The same amount of food at in n out will cost you probably less than $ 10. +1 for In N Out 4. Speed. We were the first ones in there and waited a while for our food. While I appreciate the«freshly made» aspect of it, fast food is still supposed to be, well, fast! +1 for In N Out Overall verdict: In N Out wins 3 to 1(maybe its my SoCal pride kicking in, but being as objective as possible) 3.5 stars.
