I really liked this branch even though it might not be as big or as quiet as other branches I have been to before. I have a 4yr old and an 8month old so the children’s section was perfect for them both. There were a lot of kids to play with and my older son loved all the blocks and educational puzzles. He didn’t even look through the books until it was time to go home. We will deffinitely visit this library more often especially since it is a 5min walk from our house.

DVD selection, no me gusta.
Music selection, great!
Staff = Friendly (security guard person, not so much but I did manage to get her to smile.)
Free Parking Lot in the Back
The door squeaks really, really loud. The positive spin is that this review is being written right before Halloween, so the city can save on spooky effects as this main door will send a shiver down your spine due to the loud shreeeeeeek.

i like this library because:
1, this is the closest to my house, and when i forget my key to go home, i will usually stay here as long as i can and wait for my parents to pick me up.
2, it has a spacious place and plenty of tables back inside for you doing whatever. such as group project discussion and reading and doing hw ect.
3,two tables with cords under the table for you to plug in your computer. but i think it needs more tables because sometimes all the seats are occupied.

I’m on a mission to visit every branch of the Chicago Public Library system.
It’s a very quiet library (though this could have been because I visited on a Saturday). The DVD section is slim, but the titles they do have are quite new! The music selection, on the other hand, is pretty wide. A friend of mine who frequents this library tells me they have a nice selection of cookbooks. I found it really helpful that they list the free days of the different museums on the board that says which passes are in or not. It seems the location actually has a pretty big selection in adult books; the children’s area seems a little small, though. They have Harry Potter and Lord of The Rings, so they have the essentials.

Staff is always helpful. Can’t find a DVD you’re looking for? order it online and it’ll arrive at your local branch before you know it! Beautiful park setting outside as well as a Neighbor Space behind the parking lot — oh, yes! there is a parking lot, too! easy access via CTA. love my CPL branch!
