Botanica Del Sol

This is my local botanica. Although it’s sort of on the sparse side, there’s a whole wall of veladoras/​prayer candles, various statues of saints, holy water, and lots of awesome jewelry featuring nuns, saints, and other Catholic iconography.
The lady who runs it is really helpful and sweet (even though my Spanish is very Italian-​ized! She does speak very good English, too). If you’re a big fan of anything Catholic-​themed, this is a cool place to pick up awesome costume jewelry and candles. (For the record, I’m not Catholic, I just think these things look cool and remind me of my childhood in Europe).
