Came here with a friend on a Friday night and we had a blast. It was chill and super cute. A great place to have a beer a good conversation. They have a great beer selection. The prices were very reasonable. We ordered a flight each so we can try different beers. They do not serve food, but they do have little snacks like chips you can buy. They also allow you to bring food or have food deliver there which I think is a great! I plan to stop by again soon for a beer. come check it out!

We came here on a frigid Sunday afternoon. We were tired of sitting inside doing nothing, so we decided to use the groupon we had purchased. The groupon included a flight of four beers, followed by a full pour for two people. I loved that the pours for the flights were bigger than your typical flight glass. There was a nice variety of beers to choose from for the flight. There is a fireplace, which was perfect for the cold day. They have some games to play as well. We really enjoyed our afternoon. I noticed they have events throughout the week that looked interesting. They also have coolers full of beer you can purchase to take home or enjoy in house. We will definitely be back!

Amazing place, amazing people!!! Just left and already planning next time! Friend had a groupon and both bartenders were super sweet! It was clear they love and know great beer. We also wanted to take beer home and the young lady was super nice and helpful in choosing a fun variety pack. She happened to also be the event coordinator and told me to email her if I had any questions! Talk about going beyond needed. Can’t wait to book my birthday party!

Used a Groupon here which included a flight of beers and a full pour for two. Service was bad and the bartender was very condescending. The first thing she said when we walked up to the counter was that last call would be in 45 minutes and that we’d have to get all our beers before then. There were 12 or so beers on tap and we ask her for any recommendations. She responds it’s all good since she was the one who picked them. She was completely unhelpful. Maybe it was because we were using a coupon but she really made the place feel like it was for connoisseurs only. The beers themselves weren’t bad but there are plenty of other places with those beers on tap that don’t come with such a haughty attitude.

I have never been a coffee shop kind of gal. After checking out Beermiscuous last night, I realize that the problem all along has been the coffee. If only more coffee shops offered beer flights, I just might be one of those folks who camps out all day! I wasn’t sure what to expect from this place but the concept really works. I dragged a friend along who doesn’t really like bars. As it turns out, the atmosphere in Beermiscuous worked out for both of us. We both got to try some delicious beers in a relaxing environment where we could enjoy some nice conversation. With that being said, you should probably be a beer lover to go there, as that is the main focus. Good thing I fall into that category! We came in for the tasting experience, which includes four 4 oz. pours and one full pour. I generally stick to dark beers but, since there was only one stout on the draft list that night, I decided to get a little crazy and try some different types of beers that I normally wouldn’t have. I was thrilled that the entire tap list wasn’t comprised of IPA’s. It seems like most places I go these days, the only options are IPA’s. While there were a healthy amount of them, I also got the chance to try a selection of other types, including oatwine, which is something I’ve never had before. The beerista was friendly and helpful and I enjoyed the fact that our flight was made up of 4 oz. pours instead of the 2 oz. pours I’ve had in flights at other places. Sometimes you need more than just a few sips to decide how you feel about a beer. I actually really liked all of the beers I tried and it was nice going with a friend so that I could try all of theirs as well. In the end, I decided on a full pour of stout but I was glad I got to try the others too. So, yeah, I really like this place. Next time I might even try to tackle the bottle selection.

Cool little hipster bar that’s bring your own food! I am not really into craft beers so this was definitely out of my comfort zone. Think of Starbucks but with beer! They place their specials on a large chalkboard and at first the guy pouring was very helpful. Which I appreciated because like I said not very knowledgable with craft beers. What I liked most was how they allow you to do samplers. By the second time around the guy seemed a little agitated by my questions and I found that very rude! Cute, fun place to go with friends or on a 1st date but I won’t be back.

I absolutely loved this place! I loved the huge selection of beers, cozy atmosphere and knowledge staff. I visited with a Groupon, but I look forward to coming back and picking up a case or just hanging out with a board game by their fireplace.

Awesome place for the people who love beer. HUGE selection of beers, very calming and quiet environment to be in. Not 5 stars because of the fact that you have to walk up to the counter to get service. They should probably change that. It’ll be much better. Other then that, great place!

I loved this place! I used a groupon for the beer tasting for two. I just bought another one because this place is really cool. I accidentally ordered the wrong beer for my full pour and they replaced it for me for no extra charge. There’s free wifi and it’s like a café experience. I sat next to a fireplace in some cushioned chairs. Highly recommend this for people who like beer and good company.

Friendly staff greets you when you walk in and also helps you select your pours. They are very informative and were happy to explain the flavors and favorite picks. I came with my friend to catch up over some beer sampling. We used the Groupon for the beer tasting for two– four 2 oz pours with a full pour at the end. I love the atmosphere and décor! It can be a quiet, low-key pace to mess around on your computer or get some work done but it also has a nice ambiance for a date night or catching up with a friend. There’s a little bit of everything– couches and coffee tables, fireplace, booths, chairs and tables, and also a bar with a tv for the sports. Loved it and will be back again! Oh, and Wednesday is half off flight night!

Love this place! Huge ass selection of every kind of beer you want from all over the world. They have all the Unibroue beers that I love, Trappiste Rochefort 10 and tons of beers I have never tried or heard of. I tried an ale on draft that was so smooth and satisfying, and packed a punch at 9.5% ABV. Awesome! There are board games and books all about beers and the staff there is knowledgable, friendly and welcoming. Best part is that this place is only a few minutes away, and if you want to take their beers to go, it’s a $ 4 discount off the dine in price, so I can take my craft beers to go! This is a must for every beer lover!

We went to Los 3 Ponchos bought food and brought it to Beermiscuous where we enjoyed the atmosphere and libations. Beermiscuous is a large, long room. The front and back of the room are warmed by windows. The décor is dark and mature: rich woods, black boards, stools and plush chairs. It’s uncluttered and spacious. The ceiling at the front of the room is domed and lined with narrow planks like the inside of a barrel. There are several refrigerator cases filled with a bajillion kinds of bottled and canned beers. M took her time browsing the bottled beers and I went to the menu that showed beers on tap. I ordered two baby-sized glasses of beer: one with apricot and another with pineapple. Scrumptious delumptious! We sat at the bar where we could watch volleyball on a discretely placed wall television. Other folks were playing games in the back with some well-behaved children. Two people were sitting at high tables in the front sipping beer and using free wifi on their laptops. The guy working at Beermiscuous was a young hipster. He was friendly when it came to discussing the volleyball game, but I wish he had been a bit more out-going when it came to discussing beer. He didn’t offer any help, information, or suggestions when either of us was making selections. Our three beers cost $ 11(two baby sized tap beers and one large bottle). We would love to return and repeat the dining and imbibing experience.

Beermiscuous: The name says it all. This where you go to drink beer albeit in a sophisticated coffee shop like environment. Just one problemo. I don’t drink beer. Boo! Why? Because I don’t like it. So why do I go here you ask? I was hoping they would have a nice selection of ciders. Looking at the oodles and oodles of bottled craft beer available surely they would have a section for ciders. Um, not to be! One brand(Johnny Appleseed if I remember correctly) three or four flavors. That’s it. WTF! A trendy sophisticated beer joint should have more cider options considering it’s fast growing popularity. The space is great for a group of friends to bullshit over beers or to spend time on your lappy. However for cider, non-beer drinking super cool dudes like me, we feel left out. Please if anyone at Beermiscuous reads this increase your cider supply, if you do I will be back. In the meantime I will patiently be waiting for The Northman to open in North Center(Chicago’s first cider bar). On the website they have a link called SWAG, you should change it to SWAGC(So Where Are the Good Ciders). Ugh! 2 stars for décor and environment.

Love~ Love~ Love~! It doesn’t hurt that I’m a huge beer lover and advocate but yea, I loved this place. A fella asked me on a date to this place. The date was a dud but dayum did I delight in dis discovery!(Alliteration try & fail). So thanks random dude for leading me to this amazingness. I am very into samplers & beer flights so that I can try as many beers as possible at new places. Discovering new brews is kind of my thing. I was so pleased you could make a flight of anything on the Beermiscuous draft list. The night I went, they had about 13 on tap and I had only tried 2 in the past which left me an abundance to try out. Plus, there was a sour on the list! Sours are few & far between so I was quite pleased with that offering. I did find one beer I feel in love with that evening — Shocked Apricot Belgian Pale by Moody Tongue. Yummers! I liked that Beermiscuous was a very chill, not overly crowded atmosphere with a variety of seating from comfy chairs & couches to long tables for bigger groups. Coffee shop environment with people ‘working’ but much better because… uh…beer. Aside from what just I liked here… they do of course offer pints of beer, have a ton of fun events(check their calendar/sign up for their mailing list) and the front is a bottle shop. Yep that’s right, you can buy some good bombers to go so the fun doesn’t have to stop here at the end of the night. I pretty much want to go back here with everyone I know.

Beermiscious is a great place to come for a few dranks and chill. I love the natural lighting in here and, of course, the huge selection of beer. They carefully curate what they have on tap and I liked everything I tried. You can also order different sizes(including taster sizes) which allows you to try a little bit of everything. I can imagine this place gets packed, but on a weekday afternoon it was really quiet. I actually felt bad cackling and laughing since there were only a few random people with books and laptops. And pro for us coming from the suburbs, there’s a lot adjacent to the property with free parking. Score! I’ll definitely make my way back as soon as I can.

The unusual name issue aside, and the lack of slightly later hours that would make it a tad more preferable to me, this place is awesome. And is definitely a nice relief, from some of the douchy bars that would make me want to go to a different neighborhood otherwise. I treat it as a place to have a few beers on tap(& occasionally a bottle of some beer), and more get several to go since you save money that way. Very laid back, which is always a good factor for a bar to have, with also a touch of the friendly feel that many coffeehouses have. Plus of course, the clever ‘beerista’ employee title. Don’t forget to sign up for a rewards account as well, as each 10 points will give you $ 1 off any purchase. And you can use those rewards on both beer purchases for there, and to go. They have complementary pretzels, and as they don’t serve food, you can bring food from anywhere else inside. Your receipt here(keep in mind you have to ask for a paper one to be printed, since they don’t give it to you otherwise) gets you discounts at least at Gyros on the Spit and also Jim’s(a thai and sushi place IIRC), which are both immediately north of here. I really, really wish they’d consider extending their hours very slightly later on Tuesdays to Saturday if nothing else, maybe till 11pm, and Friday and Saturday till midnight?

If you can, go during the week in the middle of the afternoon. We basically had the place to ourselves, except for a few«workers» with their laptops. It was pretty quiet in here, so don’t plan on breaking any hearts or divulging horrific details about your life here. It’s like a library with beer, that allows talking, but you won’t see any rowdy drunks taking over — at least not during the day. Beermiscuous had maybe 12 – 15 beers on tap when we visited, but there are also coolers lining both sides of the front of the bar. You can purchase canned & bottled beer to go, or to stay, but be forewarned that it will cost a little bit more if you choose to drink it there. We couldn’t resist buying a can of the beloved blood orange beer(the brewery name escapes me now). I was fine with paying $ 5 for it, since I will never remember the name of it to attempt to buy it for myself. If you can’t find SOMETHING in those coolers, you’re insane. The real draw of Beermiscuous is the draft list. Each selection has a «track number,» which made it a lot easier to order, considering some breweries and their brews are coming up with some wacky names. I wanted to order 2 – 3 sample sizes(4 oz), so the track number made is SO easy. I tried the Ale Syndicate Seven Flowers, solely based on the flowery name. It wasn’t my favorite, but the Coffee Porter I tried was absolutely delicious. Complimentary water and pretzels are available, which was welcome! This is a great spot to meet up with friends and try new beers. They also offer their space for private parties and groups.

This place is great! And sorely needed in a sort of bleak area. Personally, I love it because it is located near a friends house, and it’s great for picking up a wonderfully mismatched six pack of beer treats. There’s also tap beer available and a café atmosphere including wifi. Very chill and welcoming. Friendly guys behind the counter. And some people don’t like the name, but me — I love it!

This past weekend, we checked out Beermiscuous. I’ve never been to a Beer Café before. I gotta say, I liked it! You can casually drink there and just lounge around café style without the loud drinking background noise. We came in the middle of the day so it was pretty chill and calm. The place is spacious with a cellar downstair for private events. Customer service was attentive and inviting. There is also complimentary pretzels and water. In addition, a private lot which is a nice perk if you plan on driving. I enjoyed the industrial modern décor and the white tile details. They also have a map of all the breweries in the Chicagoland area; we’ve only checked out 12, so many more to explore. The light fixtures were also innovated. The place is very inviting and cozy. You can place board games or card games. It is also a Bring Your Own Food type of place. They also have a lot of craft beer that you can mix and match into a six packs.
