Terrible experience with Prodigy Restoration Group /Brian Darnell that is still unresolved 6 months(update: 7 months) later. Nothing to show except thousands in payments made and time wasted on this business and owner that have taken my money and done no work. * A Missouri Judiciary system case search returns over three pages of cases involving Brian Darnell and his past(Darnell-Group) /present(Prodigy Restoration Group) business entities. Civil Case No: 1411-CC00440 is a good start to learn about this business owner. * Now I am forced to take Prodigy Restoration /Brian Darnell to court to try and get my money back(update: court date set at St. Charles County Courthouse) — Just what every consumer wants when they pay a business to do a job. * Owner Brian Darnell has a record containing multiple bankruptcy filings; the most recent Chapter 13 claim date was March 2015(filed on 11/19/2014). Even if I win my case who knows if I’ll ever see my money again. * Have a complaint on file with the Missouri Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division in hopes of receiving help. *(Update: Guidance at the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Dept. website states«If no work has been done and any amount of money has been paid, it is criminal».) * Be forewarned, read up on «protecting yourself from bad contractors» to avoid the headache I’m going through, or a smarter move, hire someone else.

Despite our efforts to reconcile with Prodigy Restoration Group we remain disappointed with their failure to perform the services they were contracted for in July 2015. In July we paid $ 4,326 for them to order and install windows and sliding glass doors. Since October we have asked to have the job completed but the products have sat at the vendors location while PRG refuses to install them in an attempt to extort money from us for a second project we had contracted them for in August. When we contacted the BBB and posted reviews expressing our dissatisfaction, Brian Darnell, the owner of Prodigy Restoration Group, threatened to sue us if we did not remove our reviews. PRG has continued to threaten us for speaking about our disappointment with their business, continues to try and extort money they have not earned, possesses our windows, doors, and payment for them. Finally, Mr. Darnell has made personal attacks giving false statements about our conduct in the dispute. We encourage legal action and agree we must move forward and resolve this dreadful stalemate. I am not in breach of any contract or delinquent on any payment, these are false statements on the part of Mr. Darnell. Shame on Prodigy Restoration Group for taking hard earned money from a retired Veteran.
