Ms T and like to get a light Chinese lunch once in a while and keep trying the little strip mall places around. We have made two visits to New China and this is probably not going to be THE place. I ordered Hunan Chicken and asked for extra spicy. Ms T ordered Chicken Lo Mein. We each had egg roll with our meals. These are fairly typical lunch offerings at New China. We just find the food to be really bland. I’m not just talking about chile heat although my extra spicy order had no spice. I am really talking about the overall flavors. There is just not much of anything. We always find ourselves reaching for the soy sauce and I am wanting sambal olek. Golden China was better, before they closed. We have also eaten at Valley Wok once and I forgot to review it so I can’t say if it is better.(update Dec 2014– Valley Wok gets the nod. It is a little better) I know it was not memorable either. I would not say that we won’t go to New China. I just wish they would work on their sauces.

Tried New China for lunch today. Ordered the chicken egg foo young and it was terrible. I waited 30 minutes for food that was inedible. The egg foo young was very overcooked and they just set pieces of plain chicken on top of egg foo young patties that were as hard as a rock, instead of cooking the chicken with the egg foo young. The crab rangoon was also very overcooked and the filling had fried out of it. A complete waste of money as I threw the entire lunch away. I would give 0 stars if possible.

Wow! Too bad they don’t have half stars. Used to eat here every week several years ago. Stopped in for shrimp fried rice and crab rangoon. Fried rice only had two shrimps and no eggs very little peas, carrots and onion. Very little. Crab rangoon had four inches of fried won ton and a half or maybe one teaspoon of cream cheese crab mixture. Very disappointing.

Stopped here on a whim to get dinner to go… bad idea! Ordered Egg foo young and it was inedible. I had to throw it away. I have never had egg foo young that tasted like this. very strange. My kids wouldn’t eat the fried rice and said it tasted like baby food??? The crab rangoons were good and very light and crisp but literally only about a teaspoon of filling. The owner was nice if that counts for anything!

Horrible experience, would not recommend. Placed 10 orders for delivery; order did not arrive for nearly two hours. None of the meals were labeled with the contents. Food was cold. Absolute disaster.

Use to really like this place. Decided it would be good to try again. BIGMISTAKE. Horrible meal, Mongolian Beef and Sesame Chicken almost inedible. We were not able to eat the burnt egg rolls with weird filling. Won’t return.

This is an ok place for some Chinese food. I had the egg rolls which were alright. Their sesame chicken is ok as is their pork lo-mien. The prices are a little higher than what I would have liked. Overall, this place is just ok.
