I requested and received service for my kitchen only on December 2, 2015. Zach came out and treated my kitchen only. No one has been back since to spray the inside or the outside of my home. We were advised that someone would be out within a week to do the remainder of the property since Zach was only able to service the kitchen on his December 2nd visit. No one from your company has been to my home or tried to contact me since that day. I will not pay for services I did not receive. Your website clearly indicates that your services include cleaning up of spider webs, treating of hotspots such as doorways, windows, and sidewalk edges and a safe, protective barrier is applied to the perimeter of the home. None of this was done. My small kitchen was treated one time. If we were paying for quarterly services then we technically are due our SECOND treatment in just 10 days. Yet we never received the first. We cancelled with your company once before because of the lack of service. We were not receiving our quarterly services unless I called and requested them… yet my credit card was billed each month like clockwork! Zach is the only reason we considered coming back(we think he’s awesome!). I just spoke with Nicole on the phone and she was inconsiderate, rude & utterly unprofessional. Instead of using some basic customer service skills to determine that we have not received the service we are being billed for, she chose to argue with me. She said that I should have called to have the remaining services performed. I would like to speak with someone(other than Nicole) who can resolve this situation. I will not pay for services I have not received. Thank you.

I’ve been using HomePro Pest Control services for a few years and have enjoyed their quality services. I first became aware of the company when I needed a termite inspection while in the process of refinancing my house. I went to social media and asked for suggestions, a realtor friend of mine suggested HomePro so I gave them a call. They were prompt, professional and thorough. During the inspection they found some moisture damage but didn’t pressure me in any way to have them repair it. I did contact them several months later and contract them to make the repair. They showed up exactly when they said they would and made the repairs. I’m a big guy and really don’t like crawling under my house so I gave one of the men a camera and asked if he would take some before and after pictures while he was down there. He was happy to comply with my wishes. Since the time of our original contact with the company they have been doing quarterly pest control spraying outside and inside the house. We haven’t seen a cockroach, ant or other unwanted insects(except houseflies, I wish there was a treatment for them) in the house since they started servicing our property. My only real complaint is with communication. The first couple of times they came for quarterly service they called to arrange a date but ever since then they just show up unannounced. I always ask the technicians if they can call first the next time but it just never happens.

Horrible craftsmanship. Bottom of the line, shoddy, and ineffective«repairs.» Real estate transaction predators. July 9, 2015 the potential buyer of our home contracted HomePro Pest Control to provide a Termite and Moisture Letter for our home. The repair estimate came to EXACTLY1% of the value of the home which is the contractual norm for the maximum the we are obligated to pay. That was suspect. When we read the repair recommendations, we could not locate any of the alleged damage. We went under the house and couldn’t find the damage. The home inspector could not point to any damage. Another pest control company could not locate any damage. A mold and restoration company could not locate any damage in April. We do acknowledge that the crawlspace was as humid as outside ambient because of the natural open ventilation. This changes with the seasons. On top of the«required» repairs, the company required a crawlspace dehumidifier system to be installed and the crawlspace made airtight. To save money, we were going to install the crawlspace dehumidifier and seal the crawlspace vents. I called the company to discuss. We needed the moisture and termite letter from this company as required by contract. We were bound to them, and they let me know this on the phone. They explained in no uncertain terms they would not certify the space if they did not do the dehumidifier installation. Additionally, when asked how they determined that the beams and joists were damaged and needed repair, he explained he used a sounding tool. I asked what that was; it is a hammer. We still cannot locate the soft joists. Though we are obligated to pay for the work, we have no control of it. The dehumidifier does not dehumidify the area designated by HomePro as the«problem» area. The dehumidifier was placed in another section of the house that has only a small, ineffective access to the area of concern. The area of concern remains as a crawlspace in Norfolk does in humid July, damp. The condensation on the vapor barrier remains in that area unaffected by the dehumidifier placed in the other end of the house. The young, seemingly inexperienced foreman could not provide us any guidance or reason for his placement of the dehumidifier. The location he chose has made little impact to the area of concern, yet HomePro already provided the moisture certification letter to the potential buyers thus certifying their own work. The buyers are purchasing this house with a crawlspace in the same state it was when they were told by HomePro that this work needed to be done, damp(but with $ 6400 in work done). Additionally, the dehumidifier drainage tube is held in place by crossed nails pinching it overtop instead of using a bracket. The dehumidifier has no remote monitoring, so there is no way to know it is working or not unless you crawl to across the house to the unit under the house. Absolutely ineffective because they put it in the wrong part of the house. On the positive side, the electrician contracted out by HomePro did a great job. Everything he did was to code with great craftsmanship. HomePro understands that the seller is bound to pay for whatever they come up with up to the maximum amount. They are not structural engineers. They are not mold experts. They are not dehumidifier experts. They are pest experts. And they are experts in requiring repairs exactly matching the maximum price required by contract and experts in extracting money for ineffective solutions while still providing empty assurance guarantees to young home buyers. Stay away from these people.

Former Terminix customer: I read the previous 1 star review, so I was a bit concerned about this company. So I did a bit more research and found that this company had great reviews on other sites. I decided to give them a call, and I was greeted by Amy. She was very informative and friendly. I felt good about trying them out, and Amy informed me that a technician could be out there in less than 30 minutes. The technician was out here in 15 minutes and did an amazing job. She(the tech) was very professional and thorough. I highly suggest doing business with HomePro.

I had a mouse problem, and they came out and laid traps. I was concerned about the rat poison they set outside. I asked their technician if it was possible for my dogs to get into them. She guaranteed me that the carriers were impossible to get into without a special key. Sure enough I found an opened empty carrier in my backyard a few days after. Upon inspection, the carrier wasn’t locked all the way. The vet visit and medication put me $ 400 in the hole, and I was never offered any compensation or even apology. Instead all customer service tells me is, «this has never happened before.» Even after I brought it to their attention that an apology nor talk of compensation has been initiated, they just change the subject. Not only that, none of their traps inside the house caught any mice. Meanwhile I set a DIY simple trap and caught 6. Their technician stated that they couldn’t catch any mice because the mice were already used to my trap. What kind of logic is that? If this service wasn’t being paid for by my landlord, I’d cancel their services.
