I went to the Cycle Gear in Cherry Hill, NJ during a weekday to check out the store. I immediately noticed the place is packed with their brand of helmets and apparel. Some of it was OK, but most of it is cheaply made junk. Don’t take my word for it. Go in and take a look at a «Bilt» helmet. You’d be better off riding with a Home Depot bucket on your head. The staff seemed OK, but they weren’t very knowledgeable. The one clerk who i’m guess was the manager, was limping around the store and giving a costumer some very bad riding advice. It was comical. I picked out my oil filter and went to the register. During the check out the sales clerk was pushing these ridiculous items on me. If I didn’t know any better I would say that the sales staff is trained to sell a certain number of items to each customer because they did it to the to the other guy too. Then came the worst part. The interrogation! The ask for everything. Name, address, phone number and email. Along with of course the empty promise of «We don’t sell your information». Like I would give these clowns my personal info. Bottom line is that If you’re a beginner with a small displacement bike and you need cheap gear quick this place is for you. Otherwise, steer clear. unless you need an oil filter.
