It’s a nice store with a good selection. The walk through the woods is a nice little escape off of Route 7. After taking the nice little walk, I am convinced this place should be called the Vermont Mosquito Farm. These were the most viscous mosquitos I’ve ever encountered, like out of a horror movie or something. I actually had to jog out of the woods at the halfway point because I was starting to become a skeleton. This prompted me to skip the cute little store so I could tend to my wounds. Next time I go I am going to coat myself in Deep Woods Off and actually enjoy my time.

The store was okay so I bought mail order — a big mistake. I ordered fall daffodils and some other bulbs. The daffodils arrived in September even though the packaging said to plant in July. I called and was told it was fine and to plant them so I did. They never came up. I emailed them again. They blamed the packaging. My problem with them is they told me to ignore the growers instructions and never gave me a reason. They never admitted they could be wrong about anything. When I posted a negative review online about them they said it was my fault and I wasn’t patient to hear their side. I don’t do business with companies who blame someone else and don’t work with their customers. If a company doesn’t stand up for their products and gives bad advice, they need to expect bad reviews sometimes. By whining about the bad reviews, they discredit themselves even more. My advice, buy somewhere else from a company who won’t whine and will work with their customers.

Gorgeous store for that will be appreciated by those who love to stop and smell the roses(pun intended). You will be awed by the selection of seeds, the knowledge of the staff, and the gardens surrounding the building. Wonderful place to take a stroll — even if it is just off of a busy road!

Just took my first trip of the season down to Charlotte to this wonderful store. I have been growing my patch of wildflowers a little each year and Vermont Wildflowers is my go to place for seeds and advice. Aside from being a Vermont owned business which already moves them up in my book, they have a beautiful location – particularly when their flowers are in bloom. They have a totally impressive selection of wildflowers. Think ever single one imaginable. Think lots of different types of mixes – not just suited for Vermont. They have some other cute kid’s stuff in there. My kids aren’t quite old enough for it, but can’t wait to check it out in a couple of years. They have some pretty unique giftshop items. I’m not one to really like gift shops but their stuff is pretty awesome. The guy that is always there when I go(probably the owner?) is incredibly friendly and helpful. They also offer a free packet of seed if you pay cash which is really nifty. Anyway, if you live in VT and haven’t been here – you should go, whether or not you want/need wildfowers.

In deciding what would be a good wedding favor to give each of my guests at my wedding, a pack of flower seeds was suggested to me. This idea was not only affordable, but sweet and simple. The Vermont Wildflower Farm was very quick to respond to my email question about their deliveries. They were enthusiastic and polite. When I later called, they were very kind and helped me in answering my questions about seeds, and even suggested mixing up two different kinds of seeds I’d wanted in the package. When they arrived in the mail, they were great quality, beautiful, and smelled sweet. Just because the flower company was not in my area, was no reason for me not to purchase from them. Their prices were great for the amount of the two pounds of seeds I needed, $ 58.85! And it made great wedding favors! I had way more seeds than I needed for each small envelope I used to put the seeds in. I even used the leftover favors for planting my own garden. They are wild flowers meant for hummingbirds and butterflies. I recommend The Vermont Wildflower Farm.
