I wanted to send dinner to a family nearby taking care of their father on Hospice. After a little google searching I found The Little Garden Market & spoke to Rick. He made a perfect menu of salad, lasagna, meatballs and dessert & delivered it the next day. It was really nice to have someone so accommodating to make us smile during such a rough time.

Rick is the man! My husband and I had Little Garden Market cater our wedding, and it was a great experience. I honestly don’t know how things could have gone smoother, or could have been more delicious. Rick created a menu that matched exactly what we were looking for, and did it with enthusiasm. The menu was loosely centered around Indian and mediterranean dishes, some of which he stated afterwards that he had not cooked before. Let me just say, everything tasted like it had been not only cooked before, but mastered by Rick. He also created a beautiful cake made of wheels of cheese that was the hit of the wedding. His cheese choices were perfect and delicious, and the presentation of the cake was outstanding. I could go on, but I’ll just leave it at that. Thanks again, Rick and Little Garden Market!

If you come to this place and have anything other than good things to say about Rick, the food, the location; then something is seriously wrong with you. Local fresh deli style food + amazing counter service, makes for a must go to anyone looking for a quick bite. Try the pulled pork sandwich and sausage pasta salad. Yums!

Great stop for a sandwich or salad before or after the ferry! Everything is made fresh and tastes great. It’s so much nicer to grab a bite at this market than to stop at a chain or fried food joint. The team at the counter couldn’t be more friendly and there are all kinds of grocery items and a wine selection too. LGM is definitely our«go to» from here on.

Nice little pit-stop for lunch after our Mt. Philo morning hike. Good sandwiches, cold beer and reasonable prices. We ended up eating in front of the water at the local beach. The lunch was a perfect accompaniment to a gorgeous Saturday afternoon.

Like many other posters have mentioned, the food at LGM is always fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. As if there weren’t enough, Rick is the epitome of what friendly and appreciative customer service is all about. You will have no doubt that your business is important to ick and that he sincerely cares about making your experience as positive as possible. Whether it is a quick sandwich and catering for a large event, you can count on Rick to take good care of you. The Charlotte community is fortunate to have the LGM and Rick as fixtures in town!

I love going here for lunch and the combination of great food and good conversation are what keep me coming back. Have a hard time choosing between the BL T&A(with Avocado), the amazing secret blend in Rick’s meatloaf sandwich, or the pulled pork sandwich served traditional with fresh slaw on top. Also love the slight sweetness of Rick’s hearty chili on these cold winter days. We have also used Rick for catering on a couple of occasions last year. Nothing easier for a party than picking up beautiful platters of hot hors d’ovres right before. Recommend the sausage stuffed mushrooms, or the steak crustini. And the kids love Rick’s marinated beef/chicken skewers!

We spent a great weekend up in Vermont tooling around the Burlington area and stalking the foliage when we stumbled upon this tiny market. The sign outside proclaimed«The Best Sandwiches in Vermont»(or something similiar). We went inside to offer our congratulations and ordered a reuben and pulled pork sandwich. The sandwiches were pretty good(I’m not a fan of the slaw which was on both sandwiches which was very crunchy and probably good for me). But the BEST part was the owner who made our sandwiches. He was SUPER friendly. He pointed us in the direction of some really neat scenery(public beach and covered bridge) and he just had this great welcoming way about him. The store was stocked full of stuff I love like hard to find juices and such. Well worth taking a side trip and picking up a sandwich.
